Something that bothers me, where were the two aliens that were coming to attack them at the end of the first movie? Sure, in reality the weakness would be found quickly, and that armor has no chance of stopping high power weaponry that humans have developed, but sure. Maybe there were billions of them. With the second film, not only can they not swim (they would never leave the continent they landed on) but there can't be more than... maybe a few hundred of them. A meteor strike would definitely kill them on impact, as well, but ignoring that, there's no way they would spread given how many lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water carve up the united states. They would be quarantined and killed quickly. pulls me out of the movie too much to actually be afraid of the monsters when I realize there's no chance they would actually be dangerous or numerous enough to cause any real damage.
Oh I wished he covered the part where Emmet seems like he stole Regan’s aid and everything is silent and quiet and she shows up saying “I found a boat” that sense made me and my boyfriend laugh our ass off xD

Funny story: I was working in Lancaster, NY when this was being filmed. So every day when I'd come home to Akron - my hometown - I would pass the wreckage. Lots of friends of mine were extras.
I love the opening scene because it’s a super accurate depiction of a mixed hearing and Deaf family. The whole family knows ASL and uses it even between hearing members

I always appreciate all the behind-the-scenes details James includes in these. Kill Count's general format is great for getting so much info in a fairly concise manner
I love how the movie ends with the two kids. With how Krasinski views the first one as a love letter to his character and the length a parent will go to in order to protect their children, this one ends with the kids saving the day and both were actually protecting the adults instead of the other way around like in the rest of the film. Basically to show how they have "matured" into independent people now, which is another important moment in a parent's life. I really hope they continue with this thread in part III
in my opinion Quiet place part II was one of the better movies this year, i personally think it was a great sequel to the first one even though sometimes the characters can be a bit dumb. I really liked the beginning of seeing how it all started and introducing one of the main characters for this film. I also liked seeing them figuring out how to adapt in early stages of them having to stay quiet. Overall i really enjoyed A Quiet Place part II. Cant say the same for escape room 2...
A Quiet Place part 2 and Halloween Kills were the best horror sequels which came out on this year, didn't watched Escape Room 2 and Don't Breathe 2 I found a little disappointing
Quiet Place 2 felt like a classic monster sequel in that it isn't a thematic sequel but a fun more action-y take on the concept that can help the series move forward. If you stop thinking of it in the terms of like Halloween 2 or Friday The 13th Part 2 and think of it as more of a Lost World Jurassic Park or Godzilla King of The Monsters, it's a lot easier to ignore the faults, frustrating as they are
Fun Facts About Westfield NY: 1. Abe Lincoln stopped there to meet with a young girl, Grace Bedell, that wrote him a letter 2. Backstreet Boys Member Nick Carter lived there as a child 3. I want to know James’s opinion on scream 5. I know when he originally made the ranking of scream franchise he didn’t want scream 4. And definitely didn’t want another sequel
If Scream 4 was supposed to deconstruct reboots, what is Scream 5 going to tackle? (i ask this with only curiosity in mind, i haven't seen the trailer!)
I really like post-apocalyptic features that explore the human threats. One of my favorites is The Last of Us and I also liked this one even if it was brief. The human enemies of the apocalypse are ten times scarier than the inhuman ones
Nope. He gave a GC to a random guy killed by a unicorn in Cabin In The Woods. And I'm pretty sure he gave GCs to non-story relevant characters in Kill Counts before that.
The part in the beginning when the alien rams the police car makes me so happy cause Lee reacts like anyone would. He just books it. So many other movies would have had him stand there in shock or something dumb like that
I think it's just that there are a few different kinds of people. Those who react with Freeze - standing and staring, shocked - those who Fight, or who would immediately pick up a weapon, and those who Flee - like Lee does. And it's the people who run until they can figure out their next step who survive.
You know how James said that he will never do a kill count of “Squid Game” (which I really liked)? Well, while I was watching it, I did a kill count for him and overall I THINK 461 human deaths occur in it. Don’t ask me about the gender breakdown.

I was an extra and I can’t explain how cool it is to see James talk about the production that I witnessed like the remake of Akron and the flipping car which I saw in person
Wow really
@@EvanRBLX yea I was a baseball boy
@@kowalski9799Nice it's cool to see someone in the comments who actually played in the movie!
I live right by Akron and I never knew that they were doing this
That’s so cool!
The Hamilton reference is why I love you, James. Your nods to other roles people have played are one of the reasons I love these videos
Sorry where was the Hamilton reference
@@likescats123 6:38 “but this guy’s gonna need a Mulligan” the cop is played by Okieriete Onaodowan, who played Mulligan and Madison in Hamilton

@@sourapplerings Oh, nice.
Quiet Place II was the first horror movie I ever watched in theaters. I’m surprised I was able to convinced my mom to take me there. It was an amazing moment between me and her.
Then she told me she’s never going to see any other horror movie with me ever again, instead her friend can take me
Funny story: I was working in Lancaster, NY when this was being filmed. So every day when I'd come home to Akron - my hometown - I would pass the wreckage. Lots of friends of mine were extras.
thats actually super cool
Awesome!!!
Man how I miss Buffalo and the area.
I was at work in Clarence at the time when they were filming on the grand island bridge wanted to get an autograph by everyone so bad but unable to 😔
Same bro! It was cool hearing James talk about places I actually know
“Since they didn’t have the decency to die on screen.”
Dead Meat - 2021
Krasinski looks like his a full grown man compared to his the office days
The beard saved him
Ageing tends to happen as time goes by you know

“Everyone pulls a Mario and hop into a pipe on the ground. Hey this isn’t World 1-2”!
Golden!
😂 James has a wonderful sense for relevant comedy, love him for that💙
I love the opening scene because it’s a super accurate depiction of a mixed hearing and Deaf family. The whole family knows ASL and uses it even between hearing members
Krasinski should do more horror. He's really great at it!
Nice FOB profile picture.
From the office to a really good horror movie, he’s really good indeed
15:49 Dead Meat:God dammit alien, get the f*** off my car brah
*the alien fell
I cant stop laughing when he fell
The bear trap scene is one of the best scenes this year so far! Like holy crap, that was shocking!
My favorite part is how long it took to process the pain
It hurt me watching that like ouch
I’m guessing the reason Marcus left the safety of the bunker was to look to if his Mother or sister were coming back. During the scene you see him look out a window through a pair of binoculars.
He doesn't need to do that, though. If they are alive, they will come back. The scene made no sense.
@@UnboxingAlyss Maybe he got antsy? I know I would have. I haven't seen the movie, so I'm not sure if the movie says how long she is, but I'd have looked if she were gone longer than a few hours, tops

It should have turned into a series. That ending just felt like an ending to an episode...not a movie.

Gotta love that hamilton reference at 6:35
I definitely would have given the golden machete to dock douche boss. That was overkill and I loved it.
Yep. Plus, the Alien saved Emmet, too.
Fun fact: as the bus was inching closer to Emily Blunt’s character the camera broke & accidentally captured the close up we see in the final cut. Most perfect accident to ever happen!
my parents say i was the most perfect accident 🤩
4:50 I didn’t even notice the scene cut transition until it was pointed out. That’s so cool! I love filmmaking and good cinematography!!!
Super cool how they hid all the things a little out of place with window distortion
I love that in this movie when the people get swiped. You can fucking FEEEL the power of the aliens swipes. It just looks fucking brutal
Really sucks Jim lost his job at the office when the aliens hit.
“Ya, yer dirty fuq!"
And the “mmmmm, air” too funny
It's really fascinating to know how much hardship the film cast and crew had to go through because of the pandemic that affected the whole world.
NOT YOU AGAIN. WHY ARE YOU EVERYWHERE.
ur everywhere
I see you on every video but I watch every video also so 🙂
Uh what? This finished filming in September 2019 well before Covid had even started. Only the release of the movie got impacted by Covid.

At 11:14, turns out those survivors are actually cannibals so Reagan could’ve been food for these people if Emmett didn’t use sign language to dive and Emmett would’ve been a potential sacrifice.
"He's gonna need a Mulligan." I see what you did there.
I laughed so hard
As a Buffalonian/Erie New Yorker, hearing James say places from NY makes me a happy camper.
16:00 This hits different now that we see Dijamon's character will play a large role in the third film.

He did not

Hold on, doesn't that mean, that if some important islands without road access to the mainland weren't hit (such as Hawaii, Crete or Carribeans), that means they're almost entirely safe.

Everywhere else is probably completely safe and living their lives normally
Maybe living in the UK isn't that bad after all
Unless one of the meteor things landed there.

I don’t care how often it happens, every single time James gets angry at skeletons, I will laugh.
Every SINGLE time
One of my travel baseball teammates was from Little Falls, such a small quiet town and I never knew they filmed the 1st there! Perfect spot for a world set like this
Made it back to Dead Meat just in time for Halloween! Forgot how much I love these and the new added break down gives me a whole new appreciation! Thanks James!
10:10 James hatred for bastard skellys is honestly hilarious
That opening sequence has to be one of the best horror movie intros in recent memory
Gotta admit i never get over the opening to this movie. Wish we got more Day 1 stuff.

Flashbacks to Hamilton
"I am Hercules Mulligan I need no introduction. When you knock me down I get the fuck back up again."
I always appreciate all the behind-the-scenes details James includes in these. Kill Count's general format is great for getting so much info in a fairly concise manner
This kill count taught me the pronunciation of two actors' unique names.
I'm here just in time
Yes
Same 2 mins
Too
Yep
Same dude.
in my opinion Quiet place part II was one of the better movies this year, i personally think it was a great sequel to the first one even though sometimes the characters can be a bit dumb. I really liked the beginning of seeing how it all started and introducing one of the main characters for this film. I also liked seeing them figuring out how to adapt in early stages of them having to stay quiet. Overall i really enjoyed A Quiet Place part II. Cant say the same for escape room 2...
Agreed. I was so amazed by 2.
I enjoyed escape room 2 it was tense as fuck, I’m someone who enjoys movies I’m familiar with to the point I don’t see a problem with the movie
If you stop thinking of it in the terms of like Halloween 2 or Friday The 13th Part 2 and think of it as more of a Lost World Jurassic Park or Godzilla King of The Monsters, it's a lot easier to ignore the faults, frustrating as they are
@@DodoRibeiro-ts6po Halloween kills is awesome but that ending honestly was one of the least satisfying I’ve seen
6:05 Idk why but the way the screaming woman got killed always made me laugh🤣🤣🤣
Fun Facts About Westfield NY:
1. Abe Lincoln stopped there to meet with a young girl, Grace Bedell, that wrote him a letter
2. Backstreet Boys Member Nick Carter lived there as a child
3. Natalie Merchant grew up there
4. Current Music/Chorus teacher for westfields school won the first Music Educator award for the Grammys
I want to know James’s opinion on scream 5. I know when he originally made the ranking of scream franchise he didn’t want scream 4. And definitely didn’t want another sequel
He said on twitter that he's excited because the people who make it did "ready or not".
That seems like a good sign
@@criticalgems2605 very fair, god knows I'm excited for it given how good Ready or Not was
It looks good awful tbh
If Scream 4 was supposed to deconstruct reboots, what is Scream 5 going to tackle? (i ask this with only curiosity in mind, i haven't seen the trailer!)
"This guys gonna need a Mulligan" thank you for making me smile today :)
I really like post-apocalyptic features that explore the human threats. One of my favorites is The Last of Us and I also liked this one even if it was brief. The human enemies of the apocalypse are ten times scarier than the inhuman ones
Djimon Honshu is one of the most under utilized actors ever. Mans is an amazing actor and he’s a skilled martial artist.
Agree. I was so happy to see him in this, only to have him die in 5 minutes. :-/
Is this the first time James gave the Golden Chainsaw to a person that didn’t matter in the story?
Nope. He gave a GC to a random guy killed by a unicorn in Cabin In The Woods.
And I'm pretty sure he gave GCs to non-story relevant characters in Kill Counts before that.
@@riddypr Ah Okie

“They didn’t have the decency to die onscreen” 😂😂😂
The part in the beginning when the alien rams the police car makes me so happy cause Lee reacts like anyone would. He just books it. So many other movies would have had him stand there in shock or something dumb like that
I think it's just that there are a few different kinds of people. Those who react with Freeze - standing and staring, shocked - those who Fight, or who would immediately pick up a weapon, and those who Flee - like Lee does.
And it's the people who run until they can figure out their next step who survive.
The monsters are called "Death Angels" according to the A Quiet Place wiki
the ending in part 2 felt more like a season finale to a show unlike part 1's ending
PLEASE TELL ME SOMEONE ELSE CAUGHT THAT “This guy is gonna need a mulligan.” That guy plays Hercules Mulligan in Hamilton. Oh my god-

17:21 he said “rules” right beside the chart that said 34. Coincidence? I think not!
No?
I like that they're clearly making a trilogy. It's a nice way to tell a story but this world would work amazingly to tell other stories
The ending/Island scene pissed me off, but pretty okay movie.
Agreed. The boy was a total idiot too. All in all, very okay far from bad but not particularly good
You know how James said that he will never do a kill count of “Squid Game” (which I really liked)? Well, while I was watching it, I did a kill count for him and overall I THINK 461 human deaths occur in it. Don’t ask me about the gender breakdown.
