- Mindfulness is about being in the present moment. With anxiety, you may find yourself worrying about future possibilities. Being overwhelmed is often due to thinking about all the things to do, or experiencing what may feel like too many emotions. Both anxiety and overwhelm take you out of the present. Today, I’ll guide you back to the present and into a calm and grounded state with this short and effective practice. If this works well for you, be sure to save it to come back to when you need it.

Thanks for this, Sara. I was sleeping so soundly until a notification on my phone woke me up. Palpitations! Crankiness! Foggy! Still tired! This meditation helped. Maybe you can create one for older folks like me to ease gently from sleep mode to wake mode. It’s a whole thing that our doctors warn us about: Take it slow & easy when you wake up in the morning.
I'd get your phone away from your sleep environment. Or at least turn off notifications and volume.

Meditating with music can help to improve your focus and concentration. The calming sounds of the music can help to quiet the mind and body, making it easier to focus on the present moment. This can be especially helpful for people who find it difficult to focus during meditation
