I got a simple hack for ya, specifically for ammo boxes, the cheap plastic ammo boxes make great storage boxes for packs of soft baits, this is especially handy so u dont have to be mixing plastics together that might react with eachother, and THAT is AWESOME!
Dayum good hacks! Everytime my wife walks by when your videos are playing, she says, "Well I guess you're going to HF/HD tomorrow..." And she's usually right! Keep'um coming buddy!
You could use the discarded foam sealant “balls” as catfishing floats (j/k). I installed the HF magnet bars in the VersaTrac grooves on the front and rear decks to hold hooks and baits when I change baits.
@@rcajun8902 Unfortunately, my boat is 30 miles away at my son’s home. Had I seen this response earlier I could have taken a pic as he and I were bass fishing this afternoon. To install, I used 1/4”x 1” carriage bolts (2 per magnetic bar) and nuts (SS preferred). I also put small sections of heat shrink over each end of the bar and made holes thru it for the bolts. This was to protect the boat finish where the magnetic bars would touch (you could just wrap the ends with electrical tape). The magnetic bar is U-shaped with the magnet inside it. The open side (the bare magnet side) should face away from the VersaTrac and toward the inside of the boat. The magnetism on the smooth side of the bar is too weak to be of any use. I hope this helps.
I buy most of my beads and a lot of my fly tying yarns and feathers at craft stores! I can buy a whole skein of yarn at the craft store for less than I would pay for a 3 or 4 yard length of yard on a card.
I think you should start a segment called “Will it Flex Seal?” Haha. Rubber coating all sorts of stuff is helpful, including your canon ball sinkers and fishing rod butt for grip
I LOVE ME SOME FLEX SEAL. AUWESOME video Keith. Think Mr. Blade bait needs to be thrown in the drink, so he learns a lesson. That magnet back would be good for when you're moving spots, can clip the hook to it.
My Good Sir , Loved the video ! Now you got my attention when you got to the net !!! I have a fairly large net and I really don’t have the money for one of them high dollar ones, but wished I did. I am gonna ge a can of that flex seal and do mine! One thing , do you know if that stuff runs ? Well I will do a couple of light coats and see how it does ! Thank you a big bunch for that info ! Take Care and Be Safe
Ahhh man you are good. I've had an old decoy bag that I've wanted to use for a net. I have some, had some exotic wood for the handle (I'll have to get some more). Because I didn't want the fish to get hurt in the fabric, now they won't once I coat it with flex seal. 👍GOOD ONE!!!
Thanks for the great Hacks! I did the same thing with expanding foam and my cooler lids a while back, works good! I’ll be using all these hacks except the troll motor support, because I remove mine from my small boat when transporting. Really appreciate you helping save loads of money, so I can get more Fishin Stuff..Thank you Keith! 👍👌✌️🎣
I close the handle end of the trolling motor lift lanyard into the closest locker to hold the shaft down so it doesn't bounce around whilst road travelling.
You have great videos. They crack me up and make my day. I need a DIY to mount a fish finder to my pontoon boat with out drilling any holes in it. I have the transducer figured out, I just need need a idea for the finder. There’s a cup holder close and I thought about using pcb to make a mount. Thanks, Craig
Pvc would probably work great in a cup holder . I've got videos about heating the pvc and forcing it into it so it would be tight . Hey I appreciate you watching . Thank you very much
I started using the heat shrink on my hooks before I ever knew about the nocturnal guys… it’s awesome at first I was using electrical tape but I didn’t like it. Also been buying most my beads at hobby stores cuz well why not
I got some of those harbor freight ties and they work great, but after a while the wires poke through the silicone. What I did is take the wire out and use paracord and removed the inner lines and used the sleeve sealed both ends with the wire inside they work awesome. Same idea like your slinky weights you did in one of your hack videos.
It would be cool too see you make a fishing cart out of metal or pvc would love too see what you can come up with if u could make it a budget project. Thx for all the great vids
alla these hacks were awesome!! i gotta admit i thought that cover on them hook shafts was just heat shrink and figured i'd end up doin some myself, i thought about that aggressive offset tweak but haven't ever done it, and now i cannot WAIT to go rubberize me a net!! awesome!
I've got 1 for you... Armor all have a UV blocker in it to protect vinyl and plastic. Hit your tackle boxes with a little armor all. Hit your cooler with a little armor all. Keeps the sun from breaking them down.
That bead trick can be used for all sorts of things. Companies love taking a relatively common item, slap a label on it for a specific use, and then double or triple (or more!) the price. Look up spray glasses cleaner, and then look up spray monitor cleaner. Same thing, but one costs way more.
Those gear ties are awesome things!!! I use them for tons of stuff with the boat or fishing. Especially to keep all my rods together when I'm bank fishing or traveling. Those magnets work great on fishing carts or a boat for your tools too, and I've used glow in the dark paint alone with the clear flex seal on some of my fishing bags to kinda waterproof them and make them slightly easier to see when you're out fishing in the dark. I think that you should do a video on your version of a diy/cheaper fishing cart.
Summ dang gud ideas thar Keef. Lol Awesome video Brother. Ive put the hest shrink on my hooks and ive flex sealed one of my nets. Thanks for sharing Brother
Keith I found a hack at dollar tree I now use tooth brush covers to put on my hooked to keep from ending up with a big tangle after the drive home. On the subject of Flex Seal I had several tiny leaks in my flat bottom so I used flex seal to paint it white looks like a newer boat and is dry as a bone after fishing all day. Keep up the great work thanks again
Heat shrink works good for trailer hooks for buzz and spinnerbaits💪🇺🇸 thanks for the awesomeness 👊
The flex seal on the net was genius!!!
No, the magnet strips were genius!
Ooooo I'm digging the flex seal/net hack!
I put flex seal on my anchors works great keeps them from rusting and staining the boat carpet🐟
Dennis, Great idea! 👍
You're a frigging genius...
Love all your hacks, but that rubberized net....
"IS PRETTY DANG KOOOOL"!

I chuckle the same time you did when you did number 7 😄
Definitely going to be using alot of these hacks. Thank ya neighbor.

you have pics?

G'day mate great show as usual, great idea with the net and plenty of humour 🍻
Low expanding foam insulation for door and window installations will provide the ice chest insulation without the excess waste.
I LOVE ME SOME FLEX SEAL. AUWESOME video Keith. Think Mr. Blade bait needs to be thrown in the drink, so he learns a lesson. That magnet back would be good for when you're moving spots, can clip the hook to it.

Saving the best for last. I would have never thought about using flex seal on a net to rubberize it.

I’m using the brush on Flex Seal for keel protection on the kayaks.
Did it work good
@@FishinNStuff so far, so good. I applied it fairly heavy and let it cure for a couple days.
Every one a winner!

Great video, informative and entertaining!
I've got 1 for you... Armor all have a UV blocker in it to protect vinyl and plastic. Hit your tackle boxes with a little armor all. Hit your cooler with a little armor all. Keeps the sun from breaking them down.
That's a good idea
Good hacks going to try some of them .
Thanks for the Hacks they always come in handy 🎣🎣
