Very clever ideas and almost always trying to bring up ideas that just about anyone can do. I can't wait to see what's next. Many thanks for all the effort you put into your channel.... Joe from Augusta Georgia...
Thank very much Joe . You know comments like this one really makes the work worth doing . I really do appreciate you saying that . You made my day brother
Love the hacks. Being a DIY'er myself I just made an overhead rod holder from 2 - 1×4's in my garage over my boat. Now I can back my boat in and stand in my boat and hang my rods up. Plus I mounted my charger on the rafters and charge my batteties. All from the inside of my boat...sweet.
If people don’t know how to make drift weights by now, there is something wrong with them. You’ve taught us sooo many ways, and I love it! Great video my friend.
I only focus on making em faster lol . After entering a tournament one time and spending 5 hours making paracord weights , I decided I needed a faster way to make em . Lol I thought dropping em made a lot of sence
You are "The Man". Helping me and others enjoy the sport of fishing, with all of your tryed, true and tested fishing hacks that actually work. Not to mention all of your fishing hacks are very affordable if not free with the stuff I have in my garage.
I've been making spoons out of plastic and metal spoons. For at least 45 years, from the age of 12 years old. I watched someone who had been making them, years before me. Here in the UK. I would tend to use a T bar, for unhooking fish. That way your not scratching your hook and using the fishes weigh to remove the hook. Little tip also for spotting your knot in your anchor line. Spray it white, use bright shrink tubing or pass a bright coloured line through the knot and tie in. I really enjoy your fishing hacks and have made some reel covers. Using your design. Take care, stay safe. Tight line! David
Keith I always look forward to your videos dropping and have used quite a few of the diy's. I work with the expandable braid all the time at my job and we cut nit with a soldering iron or a "hot knife".
HA! I have recently switched hooks due to "scratches" alot of companies buying hooks overseas, "offsetting" the hooks with pliers...= "scratches" #1 thing I look for in a hook now. Thanks for the awesome content! You keep me busy lol 😆
I work on boats everyday and rewire them and the motors and I can’t stand win them sleeves start to unbraid them self and you have a good point but if I my plez sr u can take a razor heat it tell it’s glowing and run it across the sleeve and it won’t come Aport ez at all by no means and u can kind of roll the end and get a smaller size shrink tubing on it also thanks god bless
Now I done learned something . That's a great idea , heating up a razor blade . That's how i make holes in paracord with a hot nail . Why didn't I think of that lol
TA DAY! Great video! All great ideas! Keep them rollin out! Needed the fishing pole protector one now. Just got in a spool to make my own! Now I am off to get shrink tubing! Thank you! Stay safe and healthy! Keep on catchin and tight lines!
i was just thinking of the pole socks and thought of you immediately. Thank you... Never thought of scratching the hooks. Plasti-Dip is on my shopping list...
I love the draggin weights dipped in Plasti-dip. I've made em for years using hollow core boot laces and sz 5 split shot sewn shut on each and. Your method is so much easier. Also, if I'm fishing where I know there's lots of bad snags I'll use old spark plugs for weights. If you lose one of those nothing really lost. A 2 or 3 oz lead weight cost good money unless you make your own. Throw the old spark plugs in a tub of soapy water then rinse to get grease and oil off before using them. DON'T POLLUTE WITH PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.
That plasti dip on your pliers is a great idea. I've got an antique pair of smooth flat tip pliers that have been passed down to me from over 3 generations and they are used to prevent the score marks on your hooks and eliminate breaking.
Great video; that's the first time I ever saw anybody make a spoon out of a spoon. The best way to keep your anchor rope from tangling up is to store it in a bucket and flake the rope into the bucket(don't coil it). When you flake the rope into the bucket it'll come right back out the same way it went in and won't tangle. You could throw the anchor overboard and the rope would flake right out without tangling. Just make sure it's not around anything you don't want to get jerked out of the boat. Oh and make sure the end is tied off to the boat.
Your right that's the best way to do it . I sure mine coiled because I have an anchor locker and can't do it like that . But while I'm fishing I do the same thing minus the bucket
@@FishinNStuff I like to flake the rope back into the bucket when I pull anchor, because it keeps the rope flaked nice and neat. If I flake it on the floor of the boat it can get tangled in the other stuff I have tangled on the floor of the boat.

Since you let the "spoon out of a spoon" hack out of the bag, I'll add that they make great spinner blades for *big* inline spinner baits for stripers. Oh, and you can often find stainless steel flatware for pennies at second hand thrift stores.
