    Tip for cutting your felt for the magnet. Lay the felt on your metal bench, place magnet on felt, cut around magnet with a razor knife. No need for a writing implement and scissors. :) Love the Hacks.

    Please show us how to make a marker buoy power winder. I saw one advertised years ago but I can’t find it now.

    Threaded rod maybe a little lite for extensions for bigger fish or if real long. I made my on trolling rack with 3/8 rod but I have piece of 3/4 ENT sandwiched between base and t-bar. It’s as sturdy as the what bass is mounted to.

    • @FishinNStuff
      @FishinNStuff  5 лет назад +1

      1/2" threaded rod is plenty strong enough , I wouldn't go over 12" but for that application there's no way 20lb can bent it , which nor many reels even have 20lbs of drag . I think my ProRockets only have 18lbs of drag but most ppl only run 5lbs while fishing . I really don't see em not being strong enough

    I never thought about checking the arts and crafts section for storage boxes for fishing tackle. I've had Plano boxes break on me and I'd always spend $8-$10.00 on new boxes. The arts and craft section is where I'm gonna head when I need a replacement for now on

    Im probably the opposite of a "hillbilly genius" in that I have few tools, few mechanical skills and am an office worker in New Jersey. But I love fishing, I love tinkering and I'm really cheap. So it seems that we have a lot in common after all! Love all your videos man, keep them coming!

      Buddy you cant do nothing if you never try . I always tell people everything is hard if you dont know how too do it lol . Sometimes I make stuff too save money and sometimes I make stuff ( like the nav light for instance ) because theres nothing on the market as good as that light . I've tried a lot of em . I appreciate you watching brother. Ps I'm not as Hillbilly as I act . Being silly loosens me up lol

    You can also wrap the magnets with felt bring the felt back over the magnet with a eyebolt and washers on both side(to help hold the felt . This way if your into magnet fishing where there's alot of iron or when it builds up you can unbolt and wash out all the trash off your magnet.

    For rod holder extenders from the bank I use old broom handles cut to size and drill a hole deep down.. electric tape the tip so it doesn't crack and taper the bottom to a point.... good as gold...

    Credit to Moomoo outdoors, fish grips work well as an anchor clamp also. Its something usually on hand all ready too. Nice for when space/weight is a factor like in a kayak. Gotta love dual purpose ideas because idk about you but I always have too much stuff lol. Thx for sharing all the interesting and helpful stuff. Always a pleasure, be well.

    A 1/4-20 bolt inserted through one of those spring clamps makes a good GoPro mount too. Clamp on almost anything and film.
    Also put one through a plastic tent spike for a stick-in-the-ground GoPro mount
