My favorite fishing hack was taught to me by my grandfather. Always keep a couple of old spark plugs in your tackle box. When you get hung up, clip a spark plug on your line and drop it in the water. It will slide down the line and bump your hook, knocking it loose from the snag.
I just use a 2 oz sinker on a swivel.
Both are brilliant
Awesome fishing hacks and I especially like the fly box! I fish for crappies too!!!
That Pencil Box Jig/Fly box was one of the best ideas I have seen in a while. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Sir and thanks for watching
I cant wait until you make a dollar store/ Walmart diy boat for under $15👍
You don't want much haha . But maybe I will 🤔
15$ that sounds expansive xD
@@Xziznoel I'm thinking about doing it but I don't think I can do it for 15 bucks 🤔
@@FishinNStuff A kiddy pool and a gallon of high velocity duct seal would work. Lol

The lure wrap is amazing!!!!
“You got one of these big swimbaits, and you just wish that thang was orange” lol absolutely killed me. Love your videos man
Lol thank you
Never thought about the lure wrap. Thatd keep my sinkers from beating my catfish rods to death. Duct tape for the win...again. Good video!
I should have mentioned that man . I use em for bass lures but your exactly right they would work good for sinkers too
I just made 7 of the wraps yesterday after watching this. Great idea and thank you for the great video as usual!
I heat shrink my sinkers to make them a little less damaging to my rods.
Hey!
Thanks for following up on my request. That’s a smart and cheap solution and I really appreciate it!
First time seeing lure wraps. Those will come in handy. Thanks for the ideas. Looking forward to seeing more videos.
Thanks for the great ideas. I'm an ASM in a Scout Troop and we are having the boys make Duct Tape wallets. The lure wrap is an awesome idea for them to make as well since we all like to fish. Thanks again for great and helpful videos!
Thank you for watching em Sir , that's great man I eas a scout and my son was , those fly boxs would be easy and cheap to make if you figure out a safe way to cut the foam
I bought my daughter a new sewing machine with a heavy duty motor so she could make face masks for our local nursing home. She's done several dozen. To give her a break I told her she can sew me up some of your DIY lure wraps. I'm making them the exact same as you did but I'm having her sew the velcro in. She didn't look thrilled. LOL Gawd bless her, she has cranked out a bunch of those masks in the last two months. I like the lure wraps better. Thanks FnS. Great tip.
Love the Crappie box idea
Thank you Sir
That was awesome, thank you sir.
*I started making Black Zonkers* I got the next model down from your vice from Colorado and I've been tying to my heart's content. It works great. I'm trying to get ready for spring bass in the Northeast.
Again, thank you for the great info and for the great show.
Man I don’t see how you come up with some of this stuff, ingenious! I’m a welder/fabricator and I make alot of my own fishing stuff from trolling racks, rod holders, seat bases, etc. But there’s no way I could think up some of the stuff you do 😂 you make some great and helpful vids, we appreciate it!
Thank you brother I appreciate it man . I'm a welder/ Fabricator too . But my welding leaves a little too be desired lol . I run a Robot that does the welding so I get rusty lol . I learned how to think outside the box working at cheap places when I was young . You had to think up ways to fix the machines without parts cause they never had what you needed but they wanted em running
I'm stuck on this man's videos. I should be in bed.... But nope.
5:39 that took me a second to get it. Perfect
I'm definitely making some lure covers, great idea
Love the lure wrap!!!
Keep the DIY's coming GREAT JOB!!
Thank you very much and thanks for watching
Great projects. I especially like the pencil box made into a jig box. I'm going to pick up some and make them.
When I first saw the big quart jar with clear liquid I thought we was going to learn a hack for making MOONSHINE. LOL! I been doing the lure coloring this year too. FYI- I use the Spike -it Garlic. But in the pen form. I picked up a pack when the local Gander Mountain went out of business. They work great and they have the scent added in. Great video Boss. Keep them coming.
Great video Keith never thought about the lure wrap I believe those will work . I love the jig box and crappie fishing storage box . I have everything I need on hand. Thanks for sharing brother
I will be making some of these hacks for sure 👍. Love the lure wrap for sure, was using bread ties to keep my no roll sinkers from going wild !!! You the MAN !!! Stay healthy and safe my friend 🙏
You stay safe too brother . I appreciate it
Your attention to detail is great! Take the time to see what happens with this an with that! I could watch all day but I’ve already see your hacks numerous times!! Definition of a true fan!
Thank you Sir I really appreciate you watching brother
Truly amazing.Great ideas. Will be trying a lot of these out.Thankyou
Good stuff. I love it when tubers get right to the point. I will be using these hacks for sure.
Thank you brother
Love your stuff man
I have used your videos to make a river anchor, rod holder, green lights, pvc jugs, melting lead and melting lead making my own no roll sinker sinkers lol thank you man
Hey thank you brother , ppl like you make it worth making these videos and I appreciate it brother
Awesome lure wraps & jig box! Thanks again for the ideas!!
Peace,
Adam
Thanks for the lure cover idea. Made 4 for all my reels. I doubled the measurements and was able to make 4 at one time.
Thank you for watching
Fiberglass trick to painting styrofoam. Thin coat of elmers glue. You can water the glue down a little bit if you need it thinner.
I'm going to make the lure wrap to hold the sinkers on my cat rod. Awesome diy you are the man!!!
More great hacks/ DIY's, keep'em coming!
Good one on painting the foam bobbers!
When you need to paint something that the solvent in the paint eats (like styrofoam), try wiping on a coat of shellac first. Like sharpie, it's an alcohol-based finish & will protect whatever you're painting from the solvent of the paint.
Also, if you prime whatever it is you're painting with a white base-coat, whatever color you top-coat it with will appear brighter. (I paint a lot of lures that the paint is worn out on with nail polish & always do this. Which brings up Hack #7 - buy up oddball colors of nail polish at garage sales & out of the clearance bin to paint lures with - it holds up to the abuse MUCH better than regular paint, especially if you give it a coat of clear or two over the top when you're done. =) )
I really like the fly box hack! That's awesome. Gonna have to try that one for sure!
It turned out really good 👍 I appreciate it brother
More great DIY's. Thank you
Thank you Sir
Thanks for the great DIYs. All are very handy.
Thank you brother I appreciate it
Great stuff to work on during this lock down crazy stuff..
Just found your channel and now plan to start watching the rest of them. Great content, please keep them coming.
I really really appreciate that brother , and I appreciate you taking the time to leave a awesome comment
Love the lure wrap hack. Going to make a few for my go bag to the ponds. My boat has all the better ones. Thanks.
Thank you brother they turned out pretty dang good to hardly cost anything
Love the lure wrap. Been looking for those; I have plenty of duct tape!
I didn't read all the comments so you may already know this. You can paint foam with latex paint and it won't melt the foam. It should hold up well once dry. New to the channel and I love it.
Thank you Sir i really appreciate that, i appreciate you watching as well
😆 “At don’t melt!” Love it!!! Man I enjoy the heck out of your channel! You do an awesome job 👍🏻!
Thank you Sir . I'm working on a new one now
i really like the lure wrap, im gonna try this
I liked that too
I have seen a few diy videos of yours but the fact that you showed your process of the float trial and error definitely got my sub! Great videos man!
Thank you buddy , I try and make videos that help and I learn things my self making em sometimes lol . I appreciate your support brother
@@FishinNStuff happy to! Keep it going, hope to get my channel going a little more. I appreciate your dedication. Take care!
Definitely gotta try those lure wraps!
They are pretty cool to hardly cost anything
Awesome!
The rubber fabric paint can go straight over the styrofoam. At the same time putting a protective layer on it. You will have to hand paint it like you did. 💪💪👍Great Ideas!
Just made 1 lol works great !!! Love this channel so much!!!
Always great hacks! I've been wondering about painting styrofoam for my planner boards. So if I find a spray paint I will let ya know!
I know it's a bit late, but if you want to paint styrofoam bobbers with aerosol paint, just get yourself some Mod Podge at the craft store. It's basically Elmer's white glue with a resin in it that will literally become a "shell" over the bobber when it dries and it will protect it from the solvents in the paint you want to use. You can even add color to the Mod Podge by mixing it with a little craft paint (Apple Barrel, Craftsmart or Folk Art brand). This makes it easier to tell if you miss a spot, since the Mod Podge dries clear.
Bunch of great ideas Keith.
Thank you Mr Chavez
Another great video ! Steve from NEWENGLAND
You are an excellent Brother, and RUclips fishing Teacher. I appreciate Your humor. You have cheered Me up on some of My worst days. May The Most High God bless You with all that You need, and most of what You want, and the Love, and Respect of all of Our People. Thanks, and Respect .
Thank you Sir that's one of the nicest comments I've read . You guys cheer me up too . Cause I get some bad ones occasionally lol . Thick skin ain't a bad thing though 😁 I hope God blesses and prospers you brother
Very
good
tips on DIY
I like the idea of buying all white jigs and a pack of sharpies to have any color I want. 👍
I like that too man , less inventory lol
Great ideas!
Awsome ! good tips for sure !!
Stumbled across your channel on accident. Couple videos later and you got yourself a new subscriber! Love the way your mind works! Found several tricks I needed already!
Thank you Sir I appreciate that
Love the lure wraps. Added bonus with these ones is the hooks wont get hung up on the wrap when you take them off. The ones I have from Bass Pro have a kind of felt that catches the treble. Now I got something to make while I'm stuck in the house. Stay safe brother.
Yep mine have that felt too . I should have made em out of the American flag duct tape lol . You be safe too brother
I made a couple last night. These are so easy and very cool. Now if only we were allowed out of the house ro go fishing.....
@@bribriboytoy i know what you mean brother, you be safe
Love the lure wrap idea. I used that same idea with borh Velcro & those snap buttons you used on a previous video to make snap on / velcro window coverings for my tents. When you have little ones they tend to rip off the zippers or coverings. As always awesome video brother & thanks for sharing 👍🎣😎
Oh yeah b4 i 4get, i can know turn them into lure wraps 😉.
That's a great idea man , never thought about using on my tent , I appreciate you commenting as I always do brother
My tents are old brother, had them almost 20+ yrs. Even the mesh is gone but i can make a snap / velcro mesh one too 😂
You can make anything you put your mind too brother , you be safe man
I like the pencil box idea going to make some for my crankbaits great video.
Thank you brother, I appreciate it
Im so happy i found this channel seriously.
Thank you man I'm seriously doing at least half of the things ive seen on here

GREAT info.!!!!!!!!!!!! Love your videos - DIY .
Thank you very much
Great video brother! I will actually be doing some of these in the near future. Thank you for posting this.
Yes Sir thank you for watching brother
I use old pill bottles to hold my baits. I cut a slot in the plastic top for the line.
Genius
Legit hacks! Gonna have to try these out during quarantine to entertain and distract myself!
Haha I know what you mean brother
Really liked the pencil box jig holder
Thank you man , it turned out nice . First one I've ever made lol
Really like that pencil/lure box build..now on my list of to do's
I like it too
Great tips!
Thank you for sharing. Be safe
You too brother
I so like your channel.
Great ideas as always, thanks for sharing! I also love to create my own stuff. One I will share is: a lot of people are using fiberglass tree support rods for push anchors for smaller boats. They are really hard to find now and are getting expensive, shipping is 3 times the cost of the rods. I bought some wood closet rods, 10' long X1.25" around, for about $6 each, at my local lumber company. You can coat with epoxy or polyurethane etc. to make them last longer, but for the price you can afford to replace yearly. I am making brackets for them to slide through, PVC lined. I hope this is helpful.
Fiberglass Tomato stacks work great , but they are seasonal so they are hard to find in the winter
Good stuff I love your DYI's
Thank you Sir
You sir are a genius. Thanks for the tips. Happy fishing
Thank you very much but I would call me a genius lol , I appreciate you watching brother
Wow good ideas always excellent stuff when you post. Pencil box hack is a real banger use that one for a bunch of things. Thank for sharping
Great ideas once again!
Thank you brother
WOW WOW WOW you are the man.
I love your great ideas...
Thank you Sir
I liked that pencil box jig holder. Good stuff.
Thank you brother , I've bought several fly boxs for crappie fishing and i misplaced my last one and after the crappie jig video I was looking for it and thought of that lol
How does the glue hold up to heat? Like the summer months...does the glue come undone?
@@TheAssaultcraft I haven't had it that long I just thought of it because I was tying some crappie jigs a couple weeks ago and couldn't find my favorite box , depending on what type glue you use I should hold up good .
My dad did that trick with sharpie & WD-40 will take the ink off too. I hope you and family and friends are staying safe at these hard times we are having as a nation. Always look forward for your new videos and information keep it up and safe 👍👍🏽👍👍🏽🇺🇸🤘
Love your u tube show made the anchors they came oyt great like to send u pics on how they turned out keep up the great job look foward to all your vids thank you

Fishin N Stuff that makes 2 of us 😊
#1 great idea I'm gona use that
Thank you Sir
Great video bro , I love diy projects like these . I also enjoy making my own gear . Thank you for sharing.
I've got a good many of these , I appreciate you watching brother
I just found this channel and have a hack that you may have already shown people but I’ll tell you what I do and you may find it interesting. Ever been on the lake and realized that you needed more fishing line on your reel and you know how awkward it is to fill the reel back up? To fill up a reel from a 1/4 lb spool of line, I take a peanut butter jar that is slightly bigger in diameter from the spool of line, then drill a very small hole in the side about in the middle of where this spool would sit in the jar, feed the line through the hole and you can then refill a reel without having the spool to unravel and get line everywhere. After filling, I use a short piece of tape to secure the end of the line to the outside of the jar making it easier to fill up the next time I need it. I even fill reels at home using this method. Grin.
Great stuff bro. I need a video on how to use a hammer, but with your directions, the sky is the limit! Appreciate ya.
I appreciate you too brother , you keep watching and ill keep making em
Great video as always buddy. Hope you and your family stay safe and healthy doing during this time. I wish you would make a video on making rod handle grips or wraps. I know you can come up with something that looks good and has some good grip. I need ideas LOL. Thanks you sir
Awesome DIYs. Keep them coming buddy.
Thank you Sir
Really enjoy watching your videos. 👍
Thank you Ronnie I appreciate it and I appreciate you watching em
I use Clear Vinyl for my lure wraps, 54" Wide X Yard for $13. Can see the lure at a glance! The glue that's on the velcro ran on after a year or so, it was a sticky mess. The next ones I make will be sewn on type velcro.
That's a great idea man , I was going for dirt cheap but I like your idea better . Plus the sew on velcro is cheaper than the stick back kind
For painting the foam, you could put a brush on primer so it protects the foam from the accelerant in the spray paint. Would be super cheap.
What I also use is a mix of paint and mod podge as a base and then spray paint that
Them there was some good hacks. Thanks
That duck take comes from N.C. too!
