Great video Brother, I can't get enough info stored from what I learned from Your Channel. By far the best channel on RUclips. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait until the next build
Dude. This could be one of the best channels on RUclips in my opinion. It’s one of the few I can’t get enough of. I enjoy the heck out of it. You’ve definitely inspired me to do some things I would have never thought of. Appreciate all the knowledge, hacks, and money saving tips. Keep it up!
@@owenscool112411 that doesn’t surprise me at all. It’s pretty apparent just from watching his videos that he’s a good dude. My 9 year old son watches with me too. He thinks Keith is hilarious and always wants to build all of his “fishing hacks” 🤣
Awesome hacks as always, and super useful set of 5 that cover all kinds of aspects of skills that people fishing use today, but the coolest thing was you sending folks over to Ted’s page to get the details on his hack. That’s the best example of how to use another person’s stuff I’ve ever seen! You da man!!
Great hacks again! I have used the tape for quite awhile and never had one come loose. I have one rod that only has two slide rings (no threads) so after I got them as tight on the reel as I could, I wrapped them with gauze tape and they are still hanging in there 14 years later!
Really appreciate your work Keith..I will use every one of these hacks! I’ll be fixing reel seats, softening throw net, then making up some surf weights (the price has skyrocketed over the years.😳). Then hopefully I’ll be using your camera setting advice to get some Good pictures of the fish I catch at night, using the rugby rig or along the beach! Thanks a lot buddy! 👍👍🎣✌️
Love it. Helpful hacks and hilarious. Legitimately was having trouble with reel seats coming loose and about to go away for a week on a trip trying to work out how to solve it. Sorted now thankyou 🙏🏽
I'm at 7.5 months PO. Still healing and trying not to lift anything over 20 lbs per Dr's order. Dr says about 1 year my restrictions should be lifted. I'm 59 years old with 3 stage ACDF. I'm mowing grass and hunting and fishing. Thanks for the videos. We need positive stories like this
I made a selfie stick to hold my cellphone it fits in my pedal seat hole. I fish a lot by myself works great for taking pictures of the big one. Love your channel keep up the good work
The castnet in fabric softener works well. I fish mainly in saltwater and it keeps the net from being stiff and helps open the net up. The one thing I do differently since the first time I soaked mine is that I do not soak the main line anymore. That line was slippery the first few times after soaking and made for fun times pulling in the bait😀 Keep up the good work sir👍
I'm just saying, this one is awesome 👍. My Lew's reel seat keeps coming loose. Was ready to super glue it, but I wouldn't be able to take the reel off. Thanks for the advice 😊.
Well done Sir . You can do like a friend dose with social media he will post photos of large Steel head trout on anther creek than we plain to fish the day before . For the rod wrap I like to use shrink wrap
Thank you . I really appreciate that . And i appreciate you noticing it too . I work hard to make people not regret clicking on my video . But i know at the same time that I'm not everyone's cup of tea haha
Small zip tie will keep reel from coming loose and also works as a hook keeper/attaching point to. Another great vid especially the surf weight diy! Thanks
🎣 👍👍👍👍👍 video . Here’s a joke my son told me when he was 10y old and We was cleaning some fish one day …( He said Da what you call a fish without scales ? I said what he starts laughing and said FRIED .) That was nearly 7 years ago but i still think about it ever time cleaning fish now .
It's nice to be back on RUclips. I'm the one that texted back and forth with you about my commercial fishing career years ago. I spoke of the boat with the two and a half foot diameter prop. It was a mine sweeper. From Vietnam era. We were harvesting grass shrimp. We supplied bait shops up and down the West Coast. You may remember my name from the past. Have a nice day hope all is going well for you.
I started saving your videos after I watch them so I could watch them again. Not for the fishing hacks, but to inspire me to make better videos. A person can learn a lot from watching your videos about how to make good RUclips videos.
Thank you , I appreciate that a lot . I work hard on em . I wish I could do more of them but I try and keep the quality level the same . While always trying to improve something
Love your hacks and I downloaded a lot of them. I've recently got a bunch of plastic jigs for cheap, but like you said weighted hooks are expensive. Thanks for the hacks! Great seeing you matching up my favorite Ugly Stick rod with an Abu Garcia reel. Been using this combo for decades.
FYI Keith about the plumbers tape. You want to wrap the tape opposite direction to the way you tighten down the seat, just like with pipe fittings. Reason being is that 1) It's less likely to come undone, and 2) The tape locks in better. This is the way I was taught and it works great. For your light, instead of using a higher wattage bulb like 60 or 100 watt bulb use a 40 watt bulb. Also use soft white vs daylight bulbs because, obviously, it's a softer white light
Hey Billy, I found a headlamp LED rechargeable with a USB plug lightweight. It’s gotta be molded as wide as your forehead. It also has a light on the side just if you want a little bit of light to for $27 from Amazon is the same ones that you see advertised on TikTok for $49 for one I bought several of them work great they’re waterproof lightweight very lightweight and I think it be a good investment for you for catfish or working around the shop it is also made from silicone rubber The name of this light is called MOLA ER headlamp and has a very high rating also for $27 and some change you can’t beat it. I think you’ll be very pleased with it. Let me know how you like it I got it from Amazon.
The plumbers tape works for braid backing as well. Rather than greasy, gummy electrical tape. My grand dad used thin layer moleskin back in the day with braid and that stuff hardly ever came off. Great video sir! Thanks
Those are some excellent fishing hacks Buddy 👍🎣. Graeme form T.A fishing, also did a video on ( what us English people ) call . Gripper, brack away leads. For sea Fishing from the shore, so that. When you are reeling back in. The prongs fold back, & don't get snagged 😃.
Love your videos. I tried a couple of the hacks and they work great!. Your channel is one of the best fishing hack channels I have seen. I even have my 10 year old son watching you! I am a huge fan and subscriber. I live up near Raleigh and my son and I go fishing a couple times a week. We always look forward to your next video. Keep it up!
I was a Pickwick Dam Tennessee , hooked into a catfish and boom , my reel took off up my pole, and luckily stopped at the first eye. freaked me out because that has never happened before. now I keep checking the nut on my poles while I'm fishing, I feel like I have a tic , lol because I'm always checking and tightening. thanks for the thread tape trick, all of my poles are getting the tape now.
You don't need to cut the barrel swivel. You can disconnect the top part of the interlock after you disconnect the bottom. Then you have a supply of barrel swivels as well.
When I fish for king mackerel off the end of a pier I use the claw sinker on my anchor rod that I use for what they call trolley rig it helps hold really good and you can run your bait out and wait for the bad boy to come hit
Keith thank you for the hacks man. I especially like the camera hack. I had no idea that fewer frames would make that much of a difference in low light. Thanks man awwwwwesome video.
Keith you forgot to tell Everyone especially with gopros Turn on the "Low Light" setting👍 Cool hack for cast nets makes sense 😎 Ok see ya I got to go watch Ted's video👋

Hey Fishin N Stuff guy, I got a fishin hack for ya. When fishin with a cork/bobber, you don't need to know the depth of the water to set your cork/bobber on your line, this is for fishin a Carolina-Rig, especially, but can be used any time; here's the kicker, the bobber doesn't need to be floating on the top of the water, it can be submerged? WHAT? Yes, since the bobber is only to hold your bait off the bottom, you can keep your finger on the line and tell if a fish hits it, you don't have to see the bobber bobbing... Pretty Cool.
It's far easier, and you don't have to worry about damaging the plastic "nut," to wrap electric tape, in front and onto said nut, in the same direction it locks down the reel. I've even used the tape to attach the reel after the "nut" had broken off. When we ice fish up here lots of ppl just attach their spinning reels with electric tape as well.
I do the fabric softener trick. Problem is the first few throws the bait usually dies quick. After 3 or 4 throws it's fine. After another 10 throws, it's back to being rough rope and mono. Maybe it's because of the salt, I don't know.
