I purchased 2 of those exact stoves back when my kid's were around 2 and 3 and we used them on our many camping trips we took every summer for year's. My kid's are now 16 and 17 and both those stoves still work great and look as new as the day we bought them all those year's ago with proper cleaning of them. I always used the Gasone brand cans for them because you could get 12 of them for $20 on Amazon back then. And i still have several cans because you can make a full breakfast and coffee in a percolator and only use like less then quarter of a can it's impressive. But I've been seeing these stoves talked about alot lately and i found it crazy because me and my family have been using 2 of them for so many year's and just over the past 6 months I've seen several channel's talking about how great they are and how didn't they know about them before. Also i still have the original cases for both and everything and they truly have been used a ton. We even used them too cook dinner at home a few time's while being stuck in a power outage situation because our stove is electric. They most definitely are one of the best camping essentials I've ever purchased hands down.
I bought 2 when I first moved to Florida for emergencies like hurricanes. Best investment I've ever made in camping gear.
@Plasmastorm73_n5evv Same they are well built and last many year's even with alot of use. And the gasone brand fuel cans last a long time. We did 5 5 day camping trips 2 summer's in row and used them ND only went through 1 and a half cans of fuel. But over all we've been using them since my kid's where 2 and 3 and they are now 16 and 17 and both my stoves still work like new and cases are still also in great condition with many summer's and even a couple power outage situations. I still have 1 full can from the original 12 pack I purchased year's go because Gasone makes some great butane fuel.
@jamesleary1405 honestly I've always used propane. But it's got too expensive . They are nice to keep fur emergency. Plus propane and butane both have a 10 year self life
@FishinNStuff I use too also usr propane stoves when camping, but then when I came across these all those year's ago I gave them a try and they worked great so I switched. I just used one of them the other day because we got hit with just about 2ft of snow and our power was out and we needed dinner cooked so I pulled out the last can I had from all those year's ago and it worked flawlessly so idk because it's definitely older then that and I had no problems with it. I know this stuff has a life span I've learned in my life that it always depends because I've had stuff that failed at it's peak and stuff that worked past it's peak. All I can say though these stoves are awesome and much more cost efficient compared too propane stoves and they work just as good if not better imo. I have 2 of these and 2 of the older Colman propane stoves that had the wind guards. That's the only thing lacking is the wind guard the Colman stoves have. Because we had some windy day's camping and if you ran the butane stove on low it was effected by the wind. But regardless both are great stoves for camping and other outdoor uses or emergency uses.
I always look forward to watching your videos. Keep em coming 👍
@jerrybeach6308 thank you very much for watching
@@FishinNStuffhey I'm just north of you in eastern burke co near hickory. I've had one of the butane stoves for 10 years. But never seen those fuel bags. Where did you get it? Keep up the content love watching.
@Roundbeeman i put a link fit ut in the description box . I was just in Hickory three other week
@FishinNStuff wished I'd known I'd been looking for ya to say howdy
Not far from me I live in Gaston county
I've been living in my van and traveling around the corner for the last 3 years and I've been using that butane grill. I love it. I sorry have a nuwave induction cooktop when I'm somewhere with electricity, but I live using that little Coleman butane stove
Thanks for Casting out another Hack for us . Keep your line wet and your live wells full we'll see you on the next one from Kentucky 🐟
HE'S BACK! GITTY UP! LOL!
Gave my sister a smaller butane stove 15+ years ago and she really liked it for backpacking.
Question about the pool light shine downward? Down to the water?
And just an FYI. For my anchor rope storage, I use one of those extension cord roller. You wind it up & you're ready to go. To deploy the anchor, just hold it, & as the anchor goes down the rope spins off evenly. When its time to pull the anchor, you pull it up then crank the handle to coil/ wrap up the rope. Easy peasy.
Thanks Keith!
@guyh.4553 thank you for watching and Happy Thanksgiving
Another great video!! They actually make an even smaller version of that stove. Burner size is the same but the body is shorter, to the point that the butane canister is not totally enclosed. And it comes in a hard plastic case. I keep one in my truck in case of a breakdown out in the boonies but I've used it while out at the shooting range on a freezing cold day or while out fishing. One day they were on sale for $19.95 so I bought 4.
That stove is handy as heck , Walmart 30.00 bucks
Happy Thanksgiving. Give Sharky a thumbs up. Stove would be good for a weekend boating trip. Love my Coleman Stove. Refill my own cylinders.
A quick hack that you might share with your subscribers is something that I learned from my friend Kevin. A good way to store an Alabama Rig is to place it in an empty paper towel tube.
I got one of those big bags of glow sticks for an experiment this coming spring. I'm going to tie it on close to the hook on one of my poles just to see if it helps. I've tested them and they glow bright for 4 hrs and were still glowing after all night.
Love the vids, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family...
Love the image of sleepy Joe
@@CatfishWeekly 😁
Right! Proud to be a racist redneck!
Great video. I actually wired my fish finder, and nav lights, to run off of my Ryobi drill batteries. Never thought about using one to run my trolling motor, in a pinch. Great info!
Them butane stoves are the shit !! Have the one I bought in 1999 and the second one bought in ~2004. Put in a 1lb bag of dry red beans, cooked all day on low and then made the rice fer it after, all with one can of fuel !! And yer right- perfect fer perkin coffee cause the flame changes temp FAST !!
Another great video. I use those portable burners when we camp, or do BBQ competitions. the butane i get pretty dang cheap at Sam's club.
@Nutintoitbut2doit it sure it . I paid a little over 2 dollars a can at walmart
Need to get me some glow tape, great stuff in the dark on the beach.....Got 3 of the gas stoves, 2 on the boat and an old one at home that is IDEAL for heating the charcoal up in the Weber chimney 👍
That portable stove is also a great item to have available for power outages, and I will be buying one for myself and one for my dad ! Thanks for sharing the great hacks ! 😀👍
You read my mind lol
I do love the zip lock and duct tape hack from the other video. I use those things for everything lol. I’m going to have to check out those other zip lock bags now.
Just FYI, butane stoves don't work well in cold temperatures and won't work at all below freezing. The fuel won't vaporize.
Exactly right. Backpacking stoves typically use Iso-butane which will work at lower temperatures. But still, not like propane.
Another fun to watch video. Thanks. Think I’ll rematch your green light one now.
Good job now for a bonus you can tell them about putting 2 nails in a drill and stick your strap in between the nails and wind them up in a roll #7
Awesome Hacks!!! Thanks Keith. 🤙🏼
Nice happy thanksgiving
That was pretty cool right there with your picture of your uncle Joe sleeping
You can also use the cover for the stove as a wind break standing on its side, its a good stove. Another great video!
Your videos are always awesome !
I really enjoy the hacks! P.S. I use that glow tape you showed in the duck tape hacks section for a bunch of stuff. I even made a pointing arrow out of it and put it on my trolling motor so I can tell which way it's pointing at night without having to shine a light on it and get 10 bigillian mosquitoes buzzing around my boat!
That's a good idea 💡
What if you put aluminum foils as a reflectir over the pool light. Cut a hole for the solar charger to get sun
Those cooker stoves are great been using one for years now . Tend to take 2 with me 😊 double hob bro lol
👍🏴😁✌️
Lol the lure never fails
Definitely like a Glow Stick Cranky LOL 🤣🤣🤣
As always nice to see you posting 😊
Thanks for watching!
Great job and informative as always!
Ive had 2 butane grills for many years-before Coleman bought the rights to that product. Some "no name" mom and pop shop. Bought them cheap at a gun show back in 1999 or so....very cool!
Awesome video I like the glow stick the best
Happy New Year Keith.
Happy New Year
Happy Thanksgiving Keith Great Video
Dang boy this is some gooood stuff
I use the wrap it storage straps to secure my crappie long rods together . If the rod is 14 feet, it breaks down into three sections . I use three of the different straps to hold the rod sections together, making it more manageable and not destroying my rod. They also can be used as rod holders to tote four same size rods together for fishing.
That's a great idea
Here a little extra hake for the gas stove. You can turn it into a heater , by adding a unit on top of it. It's like a double wall can, I use mine. When I go carp fishing in winter 🙂 to keep my bivvy tent , nice & warm at night. Plus it helps with condensation over night.
I was saving that idea for another video lol .
I have a butane stove like that,it's awesome!
It’s Ol’ Coleman!
I have one of those butane stoves and one day decided i wanted to cast some round balls for my 20 ga french musket but didnt want to drag out my propane set up. That little stove worked like a champ and ran about 3.5 hours at a slightly below high level. I made .595 / .60 / .610 and .54 cal real bullets and the flame was still going. Probably ran 15 to 20 lbs of lead that afternoon on 1 butane cylinder.
I had one of those stoves it works
Good in warm weather. Not so good
For ice fishing 🎣. It doesn’t like the 🥶
Cold of winter
Australia has had the butane cookers for years. We can also get double cookers and ones with a grill plate and frypan
What would be cool is to make a splasher with your old trolling motor and battery hack. Striper and/or hybrid fisher would love it!!!
I borrowed it though lol
The butane burner in hack number 2 is used frequently in omelette bars at breakfast buffets. it's not unusual to have three of four of these running. I think they are awesome.
God dam you are not only educational but freaking hilarious as well, love your work 🤙
Thank you
I like the reusable ziplocks. I punch a hole in them on the and put tackle in them. Take a carabiner and hook them together and attach them to my kayak. Keeps them where they’re easy to get to and if you do flip, you don’t lose your tackle.
Great video! And Ideas! Jokes are funny too! Your wife does a fabulous job putting these together!😂😂 HAPPY THANKSGIVING ❤❤🦃🦃🦃🦃
I've been waiting😂 I like your hacks😊
Rockler and Woodcraft sell a silicone glue mat. They are a little thicker but very durable. The ones from rockler can even be snapped together to get an even longer mat if needed
Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow
@danieldevite668 happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving from Canada.
The butane burners are as common as hell here in Oz since about 2010. I've got 3 or 4 floating around here in my workshop. They cost $25AUD at Kmart and the refills are about $5 for 3 cans. Very handy for cooking up some bacon and eggs by the river, boiling a kettle for tea/coffe/soup. I can highly reccommend them, unless it's blowing 30+ and you have no cover lol.
They've been around a while . I just grew up using propane, and the propane canisters have gotten so expensive
@@FishinNStuff I run a few things off LPG, but the convenince of the butane stoves can't be beat. A day at the beach is a lot easier without having to lug around a 9kg bottle lol. If I'm out camping for a few days or more, then the big bottle comes out.
What a deal, thanks
Great video again !!!
I have had those butane stoves, but I like my propane with the 20 gallon bottle better. With a tree I can run my stove and lanterns off one bottle
Hey its Fishin stuff day 👍👍✌️
Another great video, Keith. All good ideas.
Really like that big mat, lots of possibilities.
Little stove is great. They don't work real well in extreme cold ( freezing and below ) gas won't atomize, but you can warm them up and get em to work. Put them inside your coat till you're ready to use.
I love your hacks videos.
God bless y'all and hope y'all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday.
Thank you very much . Happy Thanksgiving
You don’t saltwater fish much, but glow stick floats are a go to tactic to catch mackerel
Just attach it by the baited hook
That's awesome
Hacks are great.
Awesome hacks😊
Man, I ain't seen you fish in forever! hahaha
RUclips must have censored me lol
I have 2 of those grills, you can also buy a hose that screws onto the gas nozzle so you can run them on propane too
AWESOME!
Happy Thanksgiving
Hay we hope you and your family and friends hay a safe and happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. Awesome video.
Nice video.
I have the same stove and it has a hose so you can also use the one pound propane cans ..
Great video. Sampy
You should do a video using polymorph plastic. These plastic beads melt in hot water and can be used for all kinds of things. You could plug a kayak in an emergency, or make a handle for a tool, or make a fishing lure, etc.
Always good hacks, " money saving "
Put some aluminum tape around the top of the pool light to reflect more light down into the water.
So, my kids' side by side is 24v. I run it with a 20v DeWalt battery. It isn't as fast as it ought to be, but it does work. Pretty well honestly.
Happy holidays from my family to yours 🙏🏻
Have a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful, prosperous New Year
I have those disc lights in my flower beds
in a pinch you can put a towel under a regular cutting board and it won't slide around, even on a smooth granite/marble counter top.
That's a good tip . But I don't have a problem with my cutting board sliding . It's the slimmy fish sliding around while I'm fillet them
Thanks
Those butane bottles don't last long .
But you can get adapters to run a butane stove on a propane bottle or cylinder .
You can also get refill adapters to refill those 1 pound cylinders and if you are too squeamish to refill the disposable 1 pounders , they sell refillable ones in all sizes down to 1/4 pound bottles .
Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving!
Harpy Thanksgiving
Not bad at all 👍👍❤it .
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to ya and your Family .. Another Awesome video Sir 👍👍Ol Cranky 😂😂. Some really good hacks like always keep doing what you do Sir. Stay safe and Keep’em coming ..
Try green balloon lights. They are water proof and very bright. I use the white ones on my jugs. You can thank me later.
Really good info. Do you have an idea to diy a livescope pole? I want to detach the transducer after use and store it in the boat for more space. Or a retractable pole is a good option too, which can have all the cable inside the pole.
i got one of those camp stoves. i can make about 3 pots of coffee with one can of butane.
They make those stoves that run on butane and propane. When the temperature gets below a certain level butane quits burning
Great video Mr Stuff , I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, I seen where people use those batteries on their fish finders and run them all the time
Happy Thanksgiving
HAPPY NEW YEAR
20 volts would work with your 24 volt trolling motor. It will run at about 80% power. So, you'll spend more time than you would like to get back to the dock.
I use glow sticks on my trout lines
lol I’ve been fishing at moss lake brother I’m from Gastonia damn I didn’t know you was that close
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
👍🏼
Hi your fishing hacks are awesome I saw one of videos and you mentioned winter fishing and cold hands ,did you know you can make hand warmers all you need ice melt ,snack zip lock bags and some sandwich size zip loc put some ice melt in the sank bag put it in the sandwich bag fill it half way with water zip it closed. When your hands get cold break the snack bag the ice melt and create heat.
That's cool 😎
Don't laugh, but that trolling motor model is the exact same one that I have on my boat today and it's been on there since the 1980s. They knew how to build them back then. It's still going strong.
Your right
Cool hacks bud. You folks have a wonderful evening and a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving brother .
@@FishinNStuff 👍🏻👊🏻🦃🙏🏻🙏🏻 thanks
Nice stove until the temp drops to 31 f or lower. Then you would have to build a fire to heat the butane to use the stove. Be careful!😅
Please test the lights to see if they attract the fish. Thanks
