I have LOVED getting to hear everyone’s travel stories, thank you for sharing these special memories with me! 🌎✈️❤️ Thanks everyone for watching, let’s continue the conversation below. ⬇️
Its been calming watching you. I used to fly all the time, years ago. But in my 20"s i got a sudden fear of flying due to a scary flight. i have flown locally, but have not been back to Europe since, it was over 20 years ago. I am going back this Summer with my Hubby and Son, my whole family is from there. I was born in London. My Son has never met half of his family, so we are very excited. But of course I have already been getting extremely worried and its only January. I like seeing how happy and calm you are when you fly. I hope to get back to that one day. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Hi! Thank you so much for watching my videos. I think that it is awesome that you are willing to conquer your fears of flying to go back to Europe this summer. I think it will be a great experience for your son, and you can use that as motivation to keep you calm. :)
I was a C-130 loadmaster with the Alaska Air National Guard and I got to travel to about 45 countries all over the world. Some of my favorite places were Australia, Guam, Thailand and Germany. I've been all over Australia and I liked Perth most of all. Some of my more memorable trips would include going to Iwo Jima and getting to see the flag raising memorial on top of Mount Suribachi (I'm a former Marine), going to Ho Chi Minh City to start the first leg of bringing home one of our fallen Viet Nam MIAs, going to Uganda and flying relief supplies to Goma, Zaire after the Rwanda massacre and flying relief supplies to Kauai after Hurricane Iniki. On a lighter side, I've been able to scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Western Australia, Guam and Hawaii. I've been to the Reno Air Race and sat on the end of the wing of our C-130 and watched all the race planes taxi right by me as they headed to the runway. I got to see Mt Kilimanjaro and Ayers Rock as we spun orbits around both. And Mt Denali tons of times. I got to see a volcano spewing ash tens of thousands of feet in to air as our local trainer turned into an evacuation to Fairbanks. Add into that almost 100 combat missions into Bosnia and all over Afghanistan. But one thing I can't ever recall doing is ordering room service. And I've stayed at some of the nicest hotels all over the world. And never once did I ever have any gastrointestinal issues from anywhere in the world, even in places where we were told to eat only in the hotel restaurant. Whether in Africa, Asia, Central and South America or Europe we always ate out on the local economy.
wow, Chile was neat, thanks that we could come along, I liked when your fellow crew all waved and said hi! I liked when you share things to do on layover, the sweet corn drink was interesting.
I was an Air Canada captain on DC-8's and L-1011's way back when. My favorite places to visit were Miami and Tampa, London, Mumbai, Singapore, Rome, Paris, Madrid, São Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires. The Toronto-London-Mumbai-Singapore and return flights were always fun and sometimes 'sporty' navigating through the mid-east from London to Mumbai.
I admired you so much! Because you’re ever so thankfull for your job and travel’s you’re speak all time the job is tired and exausthed but you’re thankful! Congratulations!
Longest flight was LAX - Hong Kong. Then short train into China . Kids riding water buffaloes, fishing birds off rafts & nite markets. A lot of flight crews were shopping there.
Chilean wines are delightful! I’ve found that while I love new places, I really enjoy re-visiting a city and digging in deep to find out new things and learn more. Northern California is one of my favorite repeat destinations.
Ahhh when I'm not doing my little non-drinking break I'll have to try some. I also love revisiting places I've already been because then you have the opportunity to see it from a new perspective. Northern California is beautiful, thank you so much for watching!
Hi Julia, I'm Chilean, In summertime(December-March) visit my beachtown Reñaca, 15 minutes north from Viña del mar. That drink is "Mote con huesillo", cooked fresh weat with sun dried peach juice. Safe fun travels!
I am a flight attendant for a major airline in Europa and the longest flight we work is actually to Santiago in Chile with a stopover in Buenos Aires. It is about 14 hours to Argentina and than 2,5 to Santiago! Best destination would be hard to choose but I really really really like Bonaire and Bangkok! Love to see the differences between airlines in de States and in Europe!
My spouse and enjoyed spending three weeks in the South Island of New Zealand for our honeymoon. We recently spent three weeks in Paris for our 15-year anniversary. We’ve had many enjoyable trips but these are the highlights for me.
My longest trip was from Melbourne Australia to Rio, via LA & New York, then return Recife, Brazil via Miami & LA to Melbourne. Favourite travel destination is Bangkok
The longest flight I ever had was Seattle to Nairobi Kenya via Amsterdam. Such a different world. Loved visiting the smaller communities. We were there for a month back in 2012.
Longest flight was from SFO to Singapore. Had a blast there and can't wait to go back! The food was amazing and I discovered Kaya (coconut jam). People could not have been nicer and the culture was very interesting.
Hi Julia! Love your channel! I was in the US Navy so I've done some traveling. LOL I've been as far North as Edmonton (family vaca) As far South as Cape Horn. To the East about 200 miles off the coast of Brazil. To the West Mogadishu Somalia. I've been to St. Thomas, Mar del Plata Argentina and Valparaiso Chile. Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Pearl Harbor (twice each) and Somalia. I've also had my watch set to 20 of the 24 time zones. Best place was Singapore and Argentina. Worst was Somalia. I was on the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63)and this was all during the first Gulf war. And I've never had a passport! LOL Keep up the good work!
😎👍🍺🌈 from the hotel room, you could have been in Newark, Amsterdam or Portland. At least you have a view! Our best trip was Pan Am 747 first class from JFK to Hong Kong. Yes, it was a long time ago! LOL
i loved st kitts! The island was beautiful and the people where wonderful! someday i want to fly there and spend more time. We where there on a cruise.
All of those scenes look so familiar. 325k miles is impressive. I was one of your first 1k followers, so we've been to most of it together. Heres to 2020.
I knew it was Santiago! But only because I cheated by living and working down here for the past year. I fly American a lot and love that you're making these videos. SUPER COOL! Maybe I'll see you around.
Hahah that's awesome you knew it was Santiago right away! I loved it, can't wait to hopefully be back again soon! If you ever see me make sure to say hi :) Thanks for watching.
Furthest I have travelled is New Zealand. I love the country because of the culture and the scenery. You should check it out if you have the chance too
Somewhere in South America, because we can see the Andes in the background. Probably Quito, Ecuador. After I heard your hint: 9 hours flight from DFW, and -2.5 hours difference (east of Dallas), it must be on the Pacific coast south of the equator. So Quito or Lima.
@@JettingJulia I should've guessed it, after you mentioned that it was very cold there in July - middle of Chilean winter. Quito and Lima are closer to the equator, so it never gets too cold there.
Awesome! Btw, from your last international flight u had T-Mobile, how is it there in Santiago Chile? How was the reception and did it connect? Thank you
Hi! I have T-Mobile and I love it, I have one of their international plans and it has worked very well. It worked great in Santiago, I was texting my family the whole time no issues. My boyfriend is part of the T-Mobile One plan and his phone has also been working in Brazil, just a bit slower.
my fav trip was Virgin Islands and BVI we Charter 40 ft hunter sailboats and captain & crew it our self, 2 weeks and like 15 islands & only schedule is what we call boat time, where u want to go ..anything u want.
We did the AA73 & 72 LAX-SYD-LAX mid February before they shut down the country. It was the longest flight we have ever been on. Cruised Australia and New Zealand.
Non-US: I love going home to Germany. My favorite tourist destinations are Italy, Ireland and Scotland. The people are so nice, historic places, unique and delicious food/drink. US: Alaska and Hawaii. My old co-worker was from Chile and he said the wines were amazing. Hope you get to try them out next time!
I haven't been to Germany, Italy, Ireland or Scotland yet but there all on my list of places to see! I've been to Hawaii but not Alaska yet! So many places to see. :) I am hoping I can go back to Chile during their summer time and take a winery tour. Thanks for watching!
Hi Julia ..I grew up in San Francisco Bay Area..so I am partial to it..but live in DFW area and will never go back. Favorite place so far is Hawaii..haven’t been to Europe yet..hoping this pandemic will be over soon..would love to go there..then Australia/ New Zealand...have you been to either yet??🌞
love your channel! you do such a great job showing everything and explaining; thank you for sharing!! I love travelling to Greece, I visit family and usually spend 2 weeks there every year! have you ever been to Greece?
Jimmy Opinsky I LOVED Iceland!! 🇮🇸 Iceland was my first big international place and I immediately fell in love, I’m hoping to go back again soon. Probably my favorite place I’ve ever traveled!
I live in Vancouver and I love it here. It's gorgeous. My favourite trips abroad have been to Asia, primarily Japan. Of major centers I prefer Osaka over Tokyo. There's something more earthy about the people there. Some said the best analogy is that Osaka is Chicago to Tokyo's New York. That's about right. Hong Kong is crazy in a big way. If you want to travel in Canada I'd recommend Quebec City, Halifax or Prince Edward Island in the spring and summer. Or Montreal and the Laurentians north of the city in the autumn. The colours of the autumn leaves are spectacular! The food scene in Montreal is not to be believed. Foodie heaven...bring stretchy pants.
I've been to Japan and thought it was so beautiful. Vancouver is one of my favorite cities! I love it there! I would also LOVE to see Montreal, Quebec and everywhere else!
I love travelling in Scotland - especially Edinburgh. The night walks and literary history there is moving. It’s actually best in Winter on a crisp cold day. After a few hours walking you can settle in for some Scottish comfort food and a pint of Scots ale. I’m also a fan of Ghana. The culture is eclectic, the cities are colourful and the people have such energy. I travel to the US frequently and really enjoy walking in DC. There’s so much to see and every time I visit I get a different perspective on things. From museums to politics, walking tours to wine bars - I’m never bored when I have free time in Washington. There’s so many other places I could talk about. But these are amongst my favourites. Have you done much travelling in the UK?
Amazing! I would love to go to Scotland, definitely a dream destination of mine. I have a long layover in Washington DC coming up soon that I"m excited for! I would also love to travel around Africa one day, I think that would be incredible. The only place I've been to in the UK is London, England. But I really want to travel around the UK more!
Jetting Julia I’d love to see a vlog on what you get up to in DC. There’s so much there, not just the obvious. What do you like to do on longer city layovers? London is an amazing city, but the UK has so much more. From rugged countryside to romantic cities, from the colourful and loud to the quaint. Happy to provide pointers should you find yourself coming to this side of the pond.
I live in Cape Town South Africa. My longest single flight in the old days in around 1988 we flew from Cape Town to Hong Kong with fuel stop over in Mauritius. The flight time in the air was around 16 hours. My longest flight was Johannesburg to London to New York to Dallas. The flying time was around 21 hours and total travel time was around 30 hours. I did with that trip 15 flights in 14 days. Love your channel by the way.
Oh my gosh wow that is a lot of traveling! Cape Town, South Africa is a top place on my bucket list! I really hope to be able to go one day! Thanks for watching!
@@JettingJulia if you ever come this way I would love to take around to the special non tourist spots. You might not even want to go back...trust me. You will love it here at $1 for R15 of our currency. So cheap for you. Cape Town and the wine farms are awesome. I have a lot of American guests visiting us. I have Holywood TV actess staying with us for 7 days in early November. One of the American Airlines is going to fly New York to Cape Town direct in the next month or two. I think it is AA. Chat soon.
I forgot to tell you that I heard the other day that American Airlines are going to start flying directly into Cape Town from next year. How cool would that be if you were on one of those flights so we can meet and I can take you around. Like Hawaii, Cape Town could be better for you. Let's us hold thumbs.
My travel story is England, Wales and Scotland. Landed in London went west from London towards the bottom of Wales to the top into Scotland. In Scotland we went to Glascow from their to Edinburgh for the Tattoo. Then South towards London, stopping at towns on the way.All on a tour bus for 17 days. It was AMAZING!
My furthest journey is DFW to visit the local area with a trip down to Houston. I would say it’s my joint fav with the Red Sea coast of Egypt, as the Red Sea has some fantastic coral and sea life within meters of your hotel or much bigger coral formations a boat ride away, where scuba diving in and snorkelling is fantastic 😄 #CowboysNation
@@JettingJulia I love Jamaica. So my cousin that got married there actually stayed in the same Villa JFK wrote historic speech about, ask not what your country can do for you. I sat at the dining room table where he wrote it and ate wedding cake. I thought that might interest you since you live where he was killed. I've been to that spot too. Dallas/Ft.Worth is huge.
My favourite travel destination is Saint Petersburg in Russia, it's the most beautiful city in Europe! :) Also very nice, helpful people and great food :) I totally recommend.
When I go home to the Philippines it’s about 13-14 hrs from JFK a stop over in any of the Asian cities such as Hong Kong,Singapore or incheon then to Cebu Philippines a long way
Favorite destinations: Japan, Singapore, Australia & New Zealand. I have heard rumors of AA wanting to fly to SIN (former British colony in Asia, very high yielding for banking/regional HQ's) but its simply too far from LAX and they need to update their pilot agreement. The furthest south that AA flies in East Asia right now is HKG. I have also heard of further EU expansion out of PHL.
I would love to travel to all of those places! I've been to Japan but it was for a short layover so I didn't have a lot of time to explore much. Thanks for watching :)
My best trip was find a Memphis Tennessee to see my family for Christmas and I'm going there again this year for Christmas flying on American airlines I think American airlines is the best airlines in the world best service great flight attendants I'm trying to get into being with the team I had filled out an application so I'm hoping I get a chance to have an interview and maybe get hired. But I want to say thank you to you and the other flight attendants share your work experience as a flight attendant and taking us up wherever you guys go I do appreciate it
Tony Schaden I haven’t been to Memphis, Tennessee yet but it looks so fun! I’m so happy you’ve had great experiences, as flight attendants we really do try our best to provide the best service possible. 🙂 good luck with your application process!
Jetting Julia I’ve been looking into FA jobs recently. I just love seeing all the vlogs! So far my favorite trip internationally has been Grand Cayman. Can not beat that beach and it just feels so safe!
@@kellynewman5944 I've been to Grand Cayman, it was actually my first layover with my current airline, the beach is stunning! Such clear waters and overall so beautiful. If you have any FA questions let me know!
Jetting Julia Yes! I felt like it was really calm which was nice, too! I’m not usually someone who is in the ocean a lot but I was constantly out there! I actually significantly preferred it to my experience in Cancun. Also- would love to talk to you about being an FA. any tips are definitely more than welcome
Your okay....Best time of year to come to Boston is July, August, September, and first two weeks of October. My pick is September, the rest of the year is horrible weather 🥶.
Shopping: Nagasaki, Japan and Hong Kong. Farthest: Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, Favorite: West Yellowstone, Montana. Family: Cleveland, Ohio. My home is Southern California. Jon
Jetting Julia Thank you for responding, Julia! I really enjoyed an aspect of their culture and beauty. I hope to return with my husband so he too could witness the majestic Mt. Fuji. Keep the vlogs coming! You are doing an amazing job both as a flight attendant and a RUclipsr
Nice Vlog!! My favorite countries that I visited are Japan🇯🇵 (because of the food🍣🍤, culture, & the Japanese people are very polite) & Singapore🇸🇬 (not because I used to be a resident there from 1991 to 1992). By the way, is that a Boeing 777-300er plane that you flew from Santiago, Chile🇨🇱 to Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas, USA🇺🇸? I'd like to visit Canada🇨🇦, even if I have been there before 20 years ago I think. This time in Vancouver.
I loved Japan! I was only there for less than a day on a layover for work but it was amazing, the people were so nice! We actually flew on the 787 dream liner! I have visited Canada multiple times and have loved it there each time :)
You should Julia. Like our advertisment slogan, "IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES."🇵🇭🙂 By the way, is the 787 Dreamliner OK? When I visited the US last year, I flew in a Boeing 777-300ER. I had a layover though.

@@simondavey7787 Thank you I will definitely keep that in mind! My layover is in DC towards the end of this month, I'm definitely excited! :)
@@JettingJulia I;m certainly looking forward to your DC layover video.
Can't remember how I got here. Think it was Francesco. Nice video. Nice channel.
Thank you so much, welcome to the channel! (:
My favourite destination in santorini, Greece
Oh man, so jealous of this trip, want to go to SCL so bad!
I would say it’s my joint fav with the Red Sea coast of Egypt, as the Red Sea has some fantastic coral and sea life within meters of your hotel or much bigger coral formations a boat ride away, where scuba diving in and snorkelling is fantastic 😄

1:21 I see my town, Cape Town! I hope you come here one day.
You've seen the best of South America!
Probably my favorite is Montiego Bay Jamaica. My cousin got married at the most unreal resort called Roundhill Resort.
Oooh I’m going to Montego Bay Jamaica this month, I’m super excited!
I loooove Banos and Quito, Ecuador!
Julia Vrabel I REALLY wanna go to Quito! 😍 it looks so beautiful and vibrant!
My best trip was to Madrid, Spain!!!
When I go home to the Philippines it’s about 13-14 hrs from JFK a stop over in any of the Asian cities such as Hong Kong,Singapore or incheon then to Cebu Philippines a long way
So tell me did you enjoy chili
It looks so beautiful.
I loved it, I thought it was beautiful! I would love to go back in the summer time and explore the winerys! :)
Jetting Julia that great to know .
Thanks for sharing this great video.
Julia I love you 😇 don't miss Crete Greece and don't miss Holland...and Italy North and South
I remember I was so tired after work that I needed to sleep a few hours before any city tour 🙃 I wonder where do you get so much energy from😊😊
What energy she’s always tired and exhausted
Mexico is my favorite. Going to Iraq later this month. Looking forward to it
Do you have to pay for your accommodations or does the airlines subsidies you?
The airline pays!
Your channel is incredible!!!
Thank you sooooo much!!! :)
Where is your little black purse from?
Favorite destination: Kyoto, Japan.
Longest Trip: DEN-FRA-ICN-NGO-TPE.... Simply Brutal...
mrdsn189 I would love to explore japan more! Woah that is a really long trip! I can’t even imagine how jetlagged you were.
Nice trip!
Thank you! It was an awesome trip. :)
Thank you, very very nice trip, you are very informative, and a lot of nice different details of your work, fun, and the eats. Crew bunk looks roomy.
Ms V. poindexter thank you for watching! & yes surprisingly the crew bunks are quite comfy! 😊
You are so adorable!!!
Sydney
Ooooh I wish! Sydney is on my bucket list!
Um, if its Spanish then Argentina because in Brazil they speak Portugese. Keep that in mind, Julia.
so is it best to have a passport before becoming a flight attendant?
Yes it's a requirement! :)
My farthest place of travel is also my favorite-I’m sure you know where: 🇵🇪 Peru ❤️
Love mi familia de Peru
Shari Ross I loved Peru 🇵🇪 & I also loved your family, I’m sure we will all get together again soon! ❤️
hope you love Chile!
I LOVED it!! I can't wait to come back when it's their summer time so I can enjoy the country in the warm weather!
Hahaha do me a favor and stop being PERFECT... Then I'll have more to say, smiley! lol
Thank you & thanks for watching! (:
Such a beautiful country... Oh wait, it's my country.
Alejandro Lobos Kunstmann your country is stunning!

Jodi Purssell welcome to the channel, thanks for coming over!! 😀
Boston, near me in the Canadian Maritimes. I really want to get back to MA. OK to come with vaccination?
Your okay....Best time of year to come to Boston is July, August, September, and first two weeks of October. My pick is September, the rest of the year is horrible weather 🥶.
What are the rules about flying with dogs? You should fly with Luna :)
You already know I wish I could bring Luna to work with me lol

Thank you for responding, Julia!
@@JettingJuliaReally, few days in Japan? You should visit the Philippines🇵🇭 (where I am from) someday.
@@JCRocker102181 I would love to visit the Philippines!
You should Julia. Like our advertisment slogan, "IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES."🇵🇭🙂
By the way, is the 787 Dreamliner OK? When I visited the US last year, I flew in a Boeing 777-300ER. I had a layover though.
Angie is very cute.
Hehe yes Angie is very cute!
