  • Our Volvo 850 has been puffing out white smoke and pressure has been building up in the coolant system. Signs that the head gasket is on it’s way out. High time we replace it!
Before even getting to it though we removed a lot of parts like the air box, distributor cap, rotor, camshaft position sensor, fuel rail and injectors, intake manifold, timing belt, cam cover and a lot more!

    - Project’s Background Story -
On February 21 ’09 our dad bought this ’96 Volvo 850 2.5L 20V estate. The Volvo has a big emotional value for us and seeing the car sitting still for so many years and watching nature taking over broke our hearts. After nine years, and sitting outside for 7 of those 9 years, we finally got our hands on the 850 and brought it back home where we will restore it to its former glory. Once we finish the restoration, we intend to make a road trip and keep in the family for many more years to come.

Peoples! I sweat my a** off when I´m watching you remove the screws :D Nice job! I did by myself 2 years ago but I accidently damaged the head. Hopefully you don´t have to change the piston rings...:D

Nice job but remember, a timelapse also needs to be edited like the rest of the video.
