    Not being able to sleep through the night without tossing and turning is my problem. Even the melatonin gummies and patches don't seem to work that well. Thanks for the Magnesium tip. Never hurts to try, and maybe a better pillow too. Oh BTW Jillian, I still work out to all your fitness dvds! That and changing my eating habits helped me loose 55lbs in the last year. So thank you!

      Lavender in your pillow…..long walk in the evening & banana an hour before bed should all help you sleep. Also have a wind down routine/no blue light (reading a book helps me) & write down any anxieties so you aren’t laid down making lists in your head causing you to have disruptive sleep x

      @@darnitthelma4247 I do intermediate fasting so I don't eat past 6-7pm. But the lavender sounds good. And I usually do my workouts an hour or 2 before bed. I think the book is a great idea. I'll try doing that. I have a few books I need to finish. Thanks!

      @@Santeli89 I eat at 9pm every night as can’t sleep otherwise. It’s against “the rules” but works for me. And I wake hungry 🤪 ask pillows should be flat to avoid neck pain so that’s a good idea to get a decent bounce back pillow but not too large x

    I work over nights, 7pm-7am, about 3-4 times a week. How would you recommend losing weight on such a schedule? As of right now, I feel like such a mess physically and mentally but I need to be in this schedule for the next year.

    This reminder to sleep was much needed. I’ve really been neglecting sleep and it’s usually the first thing on my list to cut down on when I’m short on time.
    On another note, I’d be really interested to know how to “prep” for an event. I’ve been working out for months now and have some definition on the abs (though still got that layer of fat on top). I have an event in less than two weeks and want to look as fit as I can. Is there anything I can do a few days or even a few hours in advance to get my body to look as good as it can for that particular event?

    My problem is that I wake up and have to go to the bathroom usually three times a night and often it takes me a while to get back to sleep. I usually don't eat for 5 hours before and keep my bedroom dark and cooler, so that helps. I usually get 7 hours of interrupted sleep.

    This is so interesting, I do need a very dark room to sleep and try to not eat too close to bed but sometimes eat the skinnygirl popcorn thinking that was good, but maybe not?

    I do a 16oz protein shake about 5pm with my vitamins and another at 7pm...my main meal is breakfast...is this a good idea?....please tell me your thoughts...total calories about 1300 a day. I'm 52 187 and 5'10...stationary bike twice a day...30 min each

    my room is below 60 but I sleep in warm covers I cannot sleep if I feel cold. Are you suggesting that we sleep with less covers?

    What about girls? My daughter is 12, and she is has obesity already, ibhave cut her sugar for 4 months, and i signed her in a gym, she is working our, she was I. Swimming clases, jiu jitsu, but she is not loosing weight. Ar lesst she stopped gaining more weight, but she us not reducing her size, should i keep working on this or do you think is an hormone unbalance?

    Funny, go to bed hungry, cold and extra dark. Don't get disturbed for 8 hours. The science is great, the reality is not. Between kids shouting for mum and hubby snoring, I'm just going to have to accept my tummy fat! 🤪

      If you love it then by all means. But it doesn't "detox" the body. Sweating is about cooling not detox. You run a risk of dehydration. And often hot workouts are less physically intense from literal physical exertion because we're fatigued from heat - which isn't ideal. And a cold ambient temperature is showing more and more to help activate our brown fat. So no it's not ideal - but if you love it have at it and drink water.

    She looks stressed out because the world is starting to realize how bad her diet plan is! Which explains why all the biggest loser are now bigger than when they started her plan. She ruined their metabolism! The only ones that weigh less now are the ones that switched to low carb/keto!
