    It may sound obsessive, but measuring cups/spoons or a food scale will really help with getting portions in check. Amazing how many IG influencers promote eating tons of “healthy fats” but it’s almost taboo to promote healthy portions. Thanks for telling people what they need to hear, not what’s politically correct!

    a calorie is a unit of energy like joule, horsepower and etc. Switch yogurt for cottage cheese, much less sugar, and make my own granola to control sugar and fat. PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO MAKE THEIR OWN FOOD INSTEAD TO BUY PACKAGE STUFF, WHEN YOU COOK YOU ARE IN CONTROL.

      I'm not a cottage cheese person but it's amazing pulsed in a food processor with a cup of frozen berries and sweetened with stevia. It's better than ice cream.

    Top Offenders But Be Mindful Of All That's Consumed.
    1. Nuts/Seeds
    2. Fruit Juices/ non- veg Smoothies
    3. Fruity Yogurts
    4. Granola (only sprinkle, if that much!) Better option, oats.
    5. Avocado (high cal....have half)

      Absolute twaddle. It depends what those calories consist of. You surely wouldn’t be daft enough to suggest 100 calories of cheesecake is the same to your body as 100 calories of salmon? Of course if you eat too much of anything it’s not good, but that is NOT the same argument as calories in calories out. It just doesn’t work that way. This woman has never read a science paper because she talks a load of bull. She was shrieking about Keto not so long ago, telling everyone it would kill them!🤣🤣🤣🤣 And promoting the intake of CARBOHYDRATES' one of the “ essentials” she told everyone. Yeah show me a carb deficient disease! Also, that awful Barbie doll presentation. Grow up! You aren’t a 16 year old any more ,metallic like a grown up.

But if you’re talking fat loss, it doesn’t matter what you eat, just be in a deficit. Ever hear of the “twinky study”???? This dude ate nothing but Twinkie’s and still lost weight, why?? Because he was eating less calories.

    Oh, Jillian, I'm always so excited when you post a new video! Your approach and your workouts became an absolute game-changer for me.
    Unfortunately, I developed an eating disorder while dieting, and I'm really looking forward to see at least one video touching this topic. I don't starve or over exercise but there are so many people struggling with an ED who will literally die for a comprehensive professional advice. What are we all afraid of? Getting fat. Unfortunately, sometimes we get lost in the process. When we 'wake up', we find ourselves underweight and without any period. We all understand that we need to put on some weight but it's much more calming to hear about healthy strategies to do that from you rather than from a doctor. Why? We just know that you really CARE and none of your advice will lead to becoming fat and unattractive. And there is so much more than that, there are so many different variations of ED and so many cases, and these people really need your help as well as your main auditory. Well, at least that's how much I trust you after doing your workouts for years, so I can blindly go and eat what you tell me to eat. And I'm 2000% sure it's not just me.

    Jillian, you are the best! For a very long time I had you regarded as the old-school, 90´s personal trainer and I didn´t pay much attention to what you are up to nowadays.
    I found your IG account recently by accident and from there your YT page...I must admit that you are amazing!

    water weight and bloating are a challenge after age 45, i hear the carnivore eating is ideal.

    Hi Jillian! Your many workout videos & tips for weight loss have been my main source on my weight loss journey & I thank you!
    Could you talk about how to balance weight loss (which requires a calorie deficit) & muscle building (which requires a calorie surplus)? I am down 35lbs and want to lose maybe another 20ish (give or take 5lbs) but I also want to get some good glutes & eventually see some good muscle definition in my arms, abs, back, legs, etc.

    This time around, in order to reach my weight goal, I eliminated ALL the foods you mentioned!!!. Except avocado, but now I eat it mindfully. Its really easy to over eat all these "healthy foods", because they are promoted as healthy and good for you.

    Jillian Michaels you have just give me the CLEAR answer that I have been asking to many doctors and none of them agreed with me when I was battling with binge eating and I’ve asked them if it shouldn’t be better to completely remove sugar and processed foods the same way ex-alcoholic don’t ever touch it again or an ex-smoker, right!?… their answer: “ Not really, by not exposing yourself to the unhealthy foods you’re not really overcoming your eating disorder and you should accept your set point weight if it’s a bit overweight”…😑 mind blowing 🤯 My dear Jillian you are a role model for years to count, to come and the living prove that it works. So thank you again ❤

    Also extra virgin olive oil is another food that can be good for your health but is so calorie dense. I try to be very mindful when I use olive oil and generally accept the mentality that a little goes a long way. I use olive oil to fry eggs and often dress my pastas (as many people do I'm sure) with it, so you can imagine how easily a meal can increase in calories when adding vegetable oil. I track all of my calorie intake and macros and it has been eye opening!

      Curling iron away from face, don’t curl end of each section. Prob some spray. Also, don’t close curling iron. 2 or 3 horizontal sections. Let cool for 10 minutes before lightly styling with fingers.

    I often have a splash of juice (2 or 3 oz) with the same amount of mineral water (make fizzy like a soda) before breakfast or as a treat. (Or, if having a smoothie, I'll put about that much in it instead.) But it does make a nice "soda," especially in the summer. But I'd never drink more than that, or undiluted.

    Ironically, i made a huge effort to increase my fiber intake as an additional step to being healthier and some of the easiest foods to add were nuts and avocados. It's a challenging balance to get all the necessary nutrients while also watching caloric intake.

      Whatever cardio you enjoy most you will naturally be inclined to burn more doing it. You can loose hundreds of pounds being sedentary though as long as you’re at a defecit so don’t worry too much about a perfect cardio. Weights are even better for losing fat really

    I have trouble figuring out meals for myself and my son. He does not usually want what I make (healthy) and I end up making two different meals.
