Thank you! I am 58yrs old and was able to remove and replace the window regulator on my truck by myself. I wasn't sure if could do it, but with your step-by-step instructions I did it!!!!! Gives this girl hope I can learn more about things unknown.
I am a 68-year-old woman. I recently purchased a 2004 Ford F150, less than a month ago. It has 99,600 miles. I am driving down the street and guess what...my back driver-side window came down and it wouldn't go up. I was going to take it back and make them fix it, but they wanted me to pay half. I watched a lot of videos here to figure out how I can fix it, but I have to say that your's is the BEST of the lot! You have great video formatting and you are precise and to the point. With such a good view of the work being done, I am going to do it. I ordered my window regulator today and it arrives Wednesday. I'll let you know how it goes.
+Shari Reno Thank you for the positive feedback. We really appreciate it! If you have a minute, drop us a review on our Facebook page to let other people know about your experience with us. Here's a link: facebook.com/1AAuto/reviews/
The window on our 2008 F150 with the extended cab and suicide doors decided to not come up anymore. I watched a few videos, but this one was the one I came back to in order to do the job. The full-size door is a bit different than the suicide door, but the procedure is pretty similar. I got it all apart and the old motor and regulator out with no problems at all. Now I know which regulator/motor to buy and put it all back together. Thank you!
Followed your video and replaced the rear driver side regulator on my 2005 F150 Lariat. Worked like a charm, and I'm no mechanic. Thanks a lot 1A Auto Parts
Being a tech i do have to say you guys make good videos for the novelist doing it them selves for me i watch them just to pick up new tricks or get a heads up on where all the fasteners are if i haven't done a certain job . Again good job. thanks

Excellent instructional video. I purchased and received the replacement part from 1A auto in less than one week. Installed the rear window regulator in less than an hour and it works great. Hopefully the passenger side does not go but, if it does I will be prepared. Thank you for the service and time saving instruction!
This video helped me tonight!! Thank you. So much easier than I thought.
Great video. Was easy to follow, and saved me the time and money of having someone else to do it. Thanks

I bought it from them too, even though I found cheaper ones elsewhere. Good work.
Just followed your excellent video to replace the rear window regulator on my 2004 F-150. One thing I discovered during my DIY session you might want to mention in your next version of this procedure. When remounting the window in the new regulator, you tell people to use the old dirt marks on the window to position the window in the regulator clamps. I noticed two narrow oval cutouts in the inner door panel, up towards the bottom of the window opening. These allow you to raise the window to the fully closed position and then tighten the window clamps. (You will need a short extension to reach the clamp bolts). This puts the window in alignment with the window channels of the door and should insure perfect alignment with the new regulator mechanism. Do you concur or am I missing something? Again, an excellent video and my thanks for putting these out there for us backyard mechanics!
Thanks for posting that! Excellent follow up. Nice work. We're glad the video helped you out. 1aauto.com?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony 866-403-3393

my rear drivers side door just slowely lowered itself down while if was driving, and the controls on the two driver side doors don't work, so do you think it is the power window regulator that failed?

Thanks it made it real easy ty 💯👍🏻
+Gcode gaming Thanks for the feedback!
Does this work on either side of the rear side doors or do I have to order one specifically to my right side door window ?
+Randy Alvarez There is different parts based on driver and passenger sides.
@@1AAuto okay thanks and i was also wondering if the power window regulator shown in the video works on both the rear left window & the right rear window
Aww, wish it was fast to order all the way from Canada, lol! Prolly take a while
Very Informative Instructional Video. I believe I can do this!
+Robert M. Carr Sr. Thank you for watching. Please let us know how the repair comes out! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Thanks for the video it helps. But I need more help. My rear window is stuck at bottom position and I cannot access the clamps to release the glass and slide it up. I checked the plug that connect to the motor. It reads a constant .40 and when I press down it reads 13.5 which shows it gets power but when I press up it shows zeros 0.00. Is that mean a short or bad motor?? Again any idea how to slide the glass up or release it when is stuck at bottom position
Thanks
+Omid Rahnemaei It might be a bad switch if there's no power to the window motor. You may want to also, take the door panel off and take a look at the window regulator inside the door to see if the regulator cable broke and might be holding the window down. It sounds like a could be a bad switch, if there's no power coming out of it. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
Excellent Video

Muchas gracias por toda la informacion...
So after you install the lift motor and the window still doesn't roll up or down, what should you check next?
I have a 2006 F-150 super crew XLT 5.4 v8. I purchased my truck about 4 years ago with a crease dent on the bottom of passenger side rear door. Well I've got quotes of 800 to fix the dent. I bought a replacement door from a junkyard with the same paint code as mine, I had to get the bottom painted to match so I'm already in at about $450. I had to transfer the window regulators and I had previously seen this video so I did exactly how you did it. But it seem like my original regulator was an inch longer maybe and I got it to fit in the door but man was it hard. I'm still unsure about it and the window went down fine of course but then it roll up very slow, I did it again and it got a little faster. Are there different size window regulators for that model truck?
Great!! Thanks👍
I’m having trouble getting to the regulator clamp bolts to free the window. The window is all the way down. I’m pretty sure it’s the regulator mounts that are in the way. Any way to fix this or how to get around it?
+Jacab Gibson Thanks for watching! If the window regulator is stuck in that position then your best bet is to cut the cable so it frees up the window. If you do this you will want the replacement part in hand. It can be purchased here: www.1aauto.com/window-regulator-passenger-side-rear/i/1awrg01619?RUclips&CTA+Comment&YjhNsH9XQk
Great video, thank you. Can I purchase just the motor or do I need to buy the whole window regulator?
I know this is an old video, but do you have an example for the smaller window for the extended cab
Thank you for viewing out video. At this time, we do not have a video for the rear extended cab. +rdsii64
Thank you so much for this video the best one ever
+Mc49ers 9ers Thanks for checking us out. 1aauto.com
heading says rear window motor? video is front?
Thank you! I could fix my window in 20 minutes.
Were can I get a new water shield
+Santana Romero Thanks for watching! That will likely be a dealer item, or you can make one yourself! This type of plastic can be found at most hardware stores.
I have a 2007 ford f150 and I replace the master switch and the rear driver window switch and nothing works. So I bought a window motor and again nothing happen. Can you tell me what else I'm missing?
If the fuse is good you may want to check the wire harness that runs between the drivers side door and body of the trucks for a possible broken or frayed wire. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
if only 5.4 triton repairs were this easy...
