I have an 04 with manual windows, it has been stiff to roll up and down since I bought it last fall. A few days ago when rolling up the window there was a pop and now the window won't roll up or down and it's stuck half way up. I have seen references to a rivet in there and wondering if there is a rivet in the regulator that may have broken. Is that a possibility I should look for or do you think I need a new regulator. The weird thing is a new regulator for the power window with motor is only about $40 but a manual one is over $100.

Still replacing the window regulator. Thats what broke. This video shows the power regulator but the manual one is about the same process.

I’ve got the 2004 f150 drivers front window regulator to replace but the lower hole to slide out or reinstall on mine isn’t as big as yours. Any help.

Keep in mind the CREW CAB and Standard Cab use a different regulator than the extended cab
