Everyone is missing the point of the FSD wide release. Is it to sell the product? Or is it to train the model? Think how many training miles they are going to get from this "Free" month.
I drove to Milwaukee yesterday(2 hours away from where I live) to check out the cybertruck, and I got to take a model Y on a test drive and use fsd v12 and omg. Mind blowing! I drove around for 30 minutes in traffic and a lot of construction, and I didn't do shit! And when I got back to the tesla store I selected the parking spot I wanted and it park all on its own. Fuckin crazy!

I'll probably end up leasing a Model 3 as the updated version is super impressive.
Next-gen compact should be quite a bit cheaper than the M3 though.
@mikespence8895 Try to run the numbers. If you drive enough miles, the cost of leasing a Tesla might be barely more than the cost of gasoline alone on a monthly basis.
@@virtual-viking I drive a 2002 tahoe. Newest car ive ever owned by the way. It has 180k miles. All I put into it is the cost of gas and 45 bucks a month for insurance. If anything goes wrong I fix it myself. I don't goto a shop. So it's cheaper for me to own run down cars.
Remember Elon said they are no longer compute restrained? The main reason for the full public US release for 30 days is to generate more data. They need more novice drivers generating interventions as they have the compute to handle it and get the model learning much faster.

I'm convinced that FSD users are not really paying full attention, they're sort of paying attention.

I'm a Tesla investor and I don't have "white knuckles" at all! Cybertruck ramping quickly. Model 2 pre-production work progressing. Optimus pre-production work progressing. Tesla Energy scaling and profitable. Tesla Lithium pre-production work progressing. Giga-Texas expanding. Giga-Mexico construction progressing. Giga-Berlin expanding. Giga-Shanghai will expand as well, especially for Model 2 and Optimus production. Implementation of Tesla Master Plan Part 3 progressing.
I just got my FSD, so went for a 10 mile ride no intervention. Look forward to going on a long trip. I totally shocked how cool this is.

It will be weird explaining to people in future that we used to drive multiple ton road missles around tired and in a rush, distracted listening to the radio. And when we wanted to go backwards we'd just reverse looking into some tiny mirrors attached to the side.
Driving the little lanes snd narrow streets of south west England will be a huge challenge. I do it in a delivery van. It’s a tough job especially as maps and sat navs will get you into a place you can’t escape from.
@davidelliott5843 The new FSD doesn't need maps to work now. Though you are right it will be a hard problem to solve.
If you use side mirrors to reverse you definitely need a car that drives for you

@@hostileaks4495 people used to turn around and look over their shoulder when they reversed. I still do it that way. Unfortunately most Americans are so enormous that doing that maneuver has become almost impossible.
24Q1 numbers must be horrible. Buy the dip, if FSD scales as expected, 25 onwards will be epic with or without the 25k car.
I wonder what the “dip” will look like? Down to $146 gap? Even lower? The lower the better for a fire sale imo. Either way I’ve got cash ready and waiting :)

So 24Q1 numbers are a disaster. I thought low 400K, but 387K? Damn! Less that 23Q1? So demand is very soft. Hybrids are doing a lot better and Highland M3 or Y isn't going to fix this. More superchargers, faster charging, more battery capacity so people have less range anxiety. Only catalyst now is FSD. Maybe energy.
I drove my model 3 with FSD on my recent visit to Los Angeles it performed extremely well in heavy traffic in the city it essentially navigated me while I supervised it to my destinations given that I was unfamiliar with the roads in LA It was very useful,
Only improvements I would make is the turn radius is too tight would increase it

I reckon Tesla will eventually offer 2 tiers of FSD: 'Supervised', which will be the more affordable option, and 'Unsupervised' which will be the premium (both in terms of functionality and cost) option. At least for the first few years after it reached lvl 4 autonomy...

I would suggest holding, but there are better options like day trading.
But trading gets risky and a lot of persons loose funds to it.
Usually it's risky trading the crypto market even as an expert but then professional advise and guidance is always the best else losses becomes inevitable.
That's true, but the risks are minimal when you make those moves with the guidance of a professional. People still make huge ROI on a daily.

I’ve tried the FSD V12 yesterday short distance local road (10 miles) to the supermarket and back home with 0 interventions.

Just buy more shares every time the price drops another $5 or $10, and set GTC limit orders at those levels. With each additional price drop increase the shares to buy a little bit. So easy.

Driving the “Supervised” right now. It’s good but not that good…yet. It’s way better than last year. I am hopeful for next year, we could be very rich when the first auto company licenses FSD.

Advertising on CNBC, Bloomberg, Reuters etc would stop the FUD and reach many people who know nothing about Tesla.
FSD 12.3 is somewhat primitive compared to how much it needs to improve to be level 5 but it's still amazing. 12.3 will gain many new believers in Tesla's fsd vision and then all the data they gather for edge cases + reduced compute constraint is going to exponentially improve FSD. IT'S LEARNING EVERYDAY. 12.3.2 then 12.3.3 will be miles ahead of 12.1.

It's unbelievable the analysts are crazy. My question is buy after delivery's are announced or wait tell earnings. I'm thinking after delivery's I'm afraid the FSD free month, and energy might counter the low sales.

Hey dude, a lot of us need your help getting Elon‘s attention. We’re all registered to get the cyber truck however, we have no idea what date or specific order will arrive. Unfortunately, a lot of us have been holding on the cars that maybe aren’t working so well, or we need to get a new car asap. For example, my situation I had to go out and get a Ford bronco cause I can’t wait for my cybertruck. They should give people ideas of the timeline so we can prepare.
I cannot wait to take delivery of my M3 Highland with FSD :)

Don't forget that FSD will facilitate robo taxi's which wil provide transportation at a cost much cheaper than care ownership.
If they made 495,000 in the 4th quarter of 2023. Then they must be close to that in the 1st quarter of 24? It doesn’t look as if production has fallen at all this quarter and should be another yoy record breaker.
Remember that Q1 has Chinese new year… so Shanghai down almost 2 weeks. Berlin was down more than a week. Plus Q1 is always a slower quarter

Yes, but this is non recurring. The real benefit will be to be able to recognize a higher % on new sales… which a higher than 1% take rate for FSD
