Hi SMR, greetings from the U.K. I’m a 58YO who studied electronics in the 1980’s, so as you can guess, I can really relate to Sandy Monroe. Sandy has seen a car industry very resistant to step changes, instead focused on gentle baby step evolution. This ‘safe’ approach is now what is going to kill them all off.
The corrupt establishment methods of under mining the competition is adequately and substantially described in the book The War On Ivermectin by Dr Pierre Kory. The similarities to the corrupt fossil fuel fraternity is stark.

@@Dularr no, Edison wasn’t right. AC transmission of electricity over long distances is still more efficient than DC.
@@albeit1 not anymore. Edison couldn't change the voltage of DC. Which made it difficult to compete with Westinghouse. With modern technology you can transmit super high voltage DC power over vast distances. Then step down or convert to AC power.
Modern DC is very efficient.

If high-voltage direct current (HVDC) existed in the 1880's we wouldn't need this conversation. But you're wrong in saying Edison was right. AC (Tesla) won the battle for large-scale electricity generation due to its ability to be transmitted safely across long distances in the 1880s. That was the time the problem needed solving. That was the time Edison could not make it happen

That's a brilliant concept if possible, us retail holders have about 47% vs 53% for institutions. I'd do my part. Elon briefly mention buybacks as a way but that won't happen anytime soon and will take a metric shit ton of cash.

It's a chancery court, where the judge has a fiduciary responsibility to anyone who brings their case. The judge saw musk ripping off the business he is an executive officer for and denied it. The pay package is 42 times higher than the second highest auto ceo, while tesla are making fewer cars. Stop listening to the tesla pumpers.
“73% of voters approved” should’ve been enough to prove the judge and the 9-share plaintiff’s attorneys wrong. There’s no way all 73% had no idea what they were voting for. The fastest way to fix this injustice is a re-vote. I voted for it in 2018 and now in 2024, and have way more than 9 shares.

I’m am a proud shareholder and voter
Finally I will not be able to vote this time. In Germany, when you buy stocks from an US based Company, the stocks have to somehow be converted to a kind of bonds in order to get your right to vote. The procedure takes some weeks ( don’t know why anything digital in 2024 takes weeks ) so I can not get my voting invitation ( Code for online voting) in time. Which I then would have had to pay 300€ in oder to get it, if I could. I told my broker that this an information they should give me in first place. But to be honest I had to click some checkboxes before I can order such stocks. So probably I should have ask earlier. I started the procedure to be able to vote in the future but for now I have to sit and watch what‘s happening. Too sad.
