I'm thinking of putting some cash in stocks, I was at Salt Shack and I overheard some friends saying it's ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?
Look for stocks that have paid steady, increasing dividends for years (or decades), and have not cut their dividends even during recessions. Alternatively speaking to a certified market strategist can help with pointers on equities to acquire.

As always, a great analysis. Newcomers often wonder if it's too late to navigate the financial market, but the market is always unpredictable. Trading has more advantages than simply holding, so it's important to learn before diving in. Active trades are necessary to ride the market's waves. FSD so crazy smart. I changed my destination in the middle of a destination which requires a U turn. But no U turn was allowed at the upcoming light. So it turn a right into a shopping centers parking lot, made its way out where there was a light so that it could turn left. Mind blowing 🤯

I'm a owner of a Prius. 2007 with nearly 275k miles. Bedt car I've ever owned. Looking forward to upgrading to a Tesla.
Toyota did report a 20% increase in q1 though, don’t know if we can blame interest rates. That being said it’s one quarter, whatever.
They sell cheap hybrids which was discussed in the video
Not all the people like EV, Super charge is not everywhere yet, all they need is a car which save gas , and Prius keep their used car value much better
Is that 20% increase wholesale sales to dealers or retail sales to actual customers? Legacy auto does not typically report their retail sales and their dealerships are overflowing with inventory that is too overpriced and not selling.

Sales of electrified vehicles for the first quarter totaled 206,850, representing 36.6 percent of total sales volume.”
With all due respect to Kathy Wood, it’s hard to take her serious because the share she brought at 170. She will happily sell them as soon as the stock gets to 240. If she really believes the stock is worth $2000 why does she sell every chance she gets?
And please do not respond with that made up she can only hold 10% of Tesla rule. That is a made up self-imposed rule. If she truly believed she would hold her shares like the rest of us.

FSD still has problems. While very impressive, it still makes critical errors. The question is will the amount of training and compute be able to take care of these edge cases. I am skeptical. FSD since 2019.
$24 trillion revenues, indeed! Thus Tesla market capitalization is $144 Trillion, oh my!
Given today valuation (P/S of 6).
Btw, global GDP is around $100 trillion.
These predictions are wildly overoptimistic, but 5% of the predictions would be more than adequate.
35:50. Step change with FSD12. I have driven it. Autonomous driving will drive down the need for cars in general. Step change again.
Let's see, checking the docket for tesla's '24 court calendar ....
So when talking about the evaluated price at 35:10 does the include all the splits that we've had so far? If so does anyone know what current price would be if we don't include the splits?
Yes, the current price target from ark refers to today’s stock, respecting all past stock splits.
There were 2 splits, 5:1 and 3:1. that means if you had 1 stock 5 years ago, you have 15 today. That means without any splits, Tesla stock price today would be around $ 2500.
Been using the free trial. It's pretty good. I don't like how it handles stop signs. It's a bit slow to get to a point where it can actually see, and then still makes a bad decision or 2 on when to go.

Mass EV Adoption = 200 mile charge in 5 minutes + expand charger network into rural areas. This needs to be #1 priority in the EV industry!
You are massively super-overestimating the need to charge for 5 minutes. Your car will charge at home 99.99999% of the time. It will be full when you wake up. Always. When road-tripping you need to supercharge for 30-60 minutes. So what?!!! Take a breather, have a break, go to the bathroom, eat, stretch…
Battery swap capabilities, with stations is an important component for autonomy. The care can go to said stations swap and continue about its way, with no need to charge
@@andyandreou you are not getting it. I have 2 Teslas, solar panels, 220v chargers etc., etc. This is not for me. This is for the millions of drivers who live in a rental apartment in rural areas with no home charging. We need EV charging to be exactly like an ICE gas station experience. YOU are "not getting it".
If you're on a trip, you're using DCFC (Superchargers)
.
If you're "local"?
You will (for example) Drive to your local Large Food retailer (within... 5(?) Miles?)
You will plug into a 7kW charger.
You wave your store loyalty card at the charger (or your phone QR code)
That charger is now Free for 1 hour, providing you spend a certain amount.... But it's you weekly shop, so no problem!
.
You spend 45 minutes in store.
Your car gained 5 2 kWh.
.
The car averages... 3.5 miles per kWh (you didn't want the 4.5m/kWh Tesla, your choice... Whatever).
.
Your car gained 5 x 3.5 miles of range.
You drive home.
As you arrive your range is 7.5 miles more than when you left.....
.
THAT will eventually apply for 80-90% of local trips.
.
The store will have enough solar on the roof that it costs them nothing.
They gain more from your business.
.
You.... "Graze charge" at most of your regular stops.
Local councils like the integrated parking charge they can add with no effort to collect it. The charger providers just sends "x%" of their profit to the council.
.
Local stores might even sponsor certain chargers to bring business.
.
Add 11kW chargers, it's even better!

*You don't need home charging*

More Tasha please 😍💫😎
I just had a thought. Could plug in hybrids be modded to full EV when battery tech becomes good enough? Might not make sense for wealthy countries but africa maybe?
They'll see the opportunity and still manage to trade around it and lose when it wins
Also them trying to pump more hybrids now is probably because they bought a shit ton of lithium battery materials at inflated prices and need to use it all up "profitably" somehow.
Americans love driving their own cars. I don’t believe it would be wise to think “all in” on robo-taxi is the only path. Elon said they are far along the way on the new unnamed model. My opinion is both models should be revealed at the same time since it will be the same platform. The optimus robot should drive them onto the stage…lol
My uninformed guess is that Bots will be bigger than Robotaxi and bots will generate bigger revenues & profits sooner too (5 to 7 years?).
Why? Chances of bots? Already here.
Unsupervised FSD? Still to be determined when - but the progress seems to be amazing.
I hope I'm not late to the party🎉 as my holding of TSLA is nil (property on the market) at the moment early April24.

Stephen you mentioned Ford will license FSD but at this point it means their only option is to put it in ICE vehicles.
Given how comfortable I have become with 12.3.3 I will be surprised if we need to keep our hands on the wheel by end of year. Robotaxi without a driver next year.
10:48. I remember
We need a robotaxis that can carry stuff. Why do we go out? To get stuff and bring it home. And if you don’t have a vehicle and are relying on autonomous taxis how do we get our stuff home from Home Depot?
Have you heard about cybertruck?
The rtaxi needs to be at least Corolla sized. Often one will want to hail it to go to the shopping centre. But then when loaded with groceries etc hail the T robotaxi to go back home.
A Corolla is only three inches shorter than a model 3, and it doesn't make sense that the new platform would be that same size. Especially when it's only going to have a 53 kwh pack. I think it will be substantially smaller. How much room do you need for one or two people and some groceries?
Last Uber with our 5 person family used 2 cars instead of one. It was cheaper and quicker. Not sure there is a real need for an XL robo taxi...
I wonder if taxi drivers will get violent when robo-taxis take over.
How will they know?
@@rogerstarkey5390 I was thinking of the taxi wars in SA. If robo-minibuses start cutting into their market I expect they will notice

BEV vehicles are unlikely to penetrate the Southern states market until the price of Solar PV price comes down, IMHO.
The South has predominantly pick-up traffic serving working remote ranches. Give them a reason to convert to BEV pickups and the ICE-to-BEV transit will be rapid, including emerging electric farm vehicles. That is, PV cells need about 30% improvements on price and efficiency before ranches no longer need to refuel in town and you can kiss ICE vehicles goodbye in these regions.
Taking it a step further have you noticed that city planning has not holistically adapted to solar PV? There is the odd project involving solar PV but it’s not widespread. Once solar PV has a payback period less than 4 years, you are likely to see a fully-integrated BEV/solar PV city.
Solar panels are inexpensive. It's the regulations imposed by various factions (but mainly energy companies wanting to delay uptake).
In some states, a $50,000 system the portion of panels, inverter and, installed by professionals is $10k. The rest is middle men cuts.
@@kasmstamps1897 All independent reports from private investment in solar PV show a 10 year payback which is crap economics
The bulk of the population still lives in cities. Electricity in Atlanta is only $.15/kwh.

the issue with building a "2 seat and 8 seat" version on the same platform, is weight, strength and handling.
A 2 seat car only needs to carry 500-600 lbs. and 8 seat car would have to handle at least 2000 pounds. this means all the structural, steering, suspension parts would have to be wayy oversized(expensive) for a 2 seat version. everybody just thinks you can make a front and a back, and stick whatever length of section in the middle to get different vehicles..... that doesnt work....
HF Cathie es getting slow!
Don’t hold your breath for the stock price mooning anytime soon! Ark’s 2024 base-case price target shared in a cnbc interview on 2/5/20 - $466ps (split adjusted). Bull-case over twice that amount! It ain’t happening!!!
What’s a Conshumah?

An Australian consumer
Uber stats are 1.75 - 2 passengers per ride.
If autonomous driving is the greatest asset appreciation ever, how will that affect the price of Tesla cars. I mean FSD is worth a different price to someone that wants to operate a business vs have their own robocar. But any given TSLA could be used either way? Unless there is a good way to deal with this in the subscription model, the price of the cars will go way up even if they cost less to produce.
FSD will likely be tiered pricing for consumer (non robotaxi) and commercial (robotaxi/delivery). Current fsd is all at consumer level. Commercial likely to be either much higher cost OR Tesla gets higher revenue share of taxi fee
@@BongoWongoOG Makes sense if that can be enforced. Seems like people could get around that pricing easily.
TSLA short time deserves a lower price but it will jump higher as the thing’s described by Ark happen. Maybe a year or 3 to begin, if plans don’t change. It will take years to build and ramp production and to develop the market.

AI language models like ChatGPT are running out of good data in order to scale them. Tesla won’t have this problem; they have 2 million cars on the road and continue to sell more to collect observational data.
This brings up a good strategy where a company designs business elements to drive sales of one another. Apple did it with Mac, IPod, and ITunes. Tesla will do it with the Car, FSD/features, and Charging Network.

Why has Tesla cancelled the 20K car?
What GM & Ford understand and Cathy doesn't, is that GM and Ford can't possibly scale up EV production AND actually sell their cars--they don't know computers, are saddled with dealerships, the UAW, and $billions in debt. Plus they have to convert from ICE to EVs. Ford & GM are hopelessly outmatched and simply delaying the day they have to find a new job.
They reported billions in profit last year. They could easily sacrifice some of that profit to subsidize EV losses until they reach economies of scale. They won't do it because they're concerned about pissing off their shareholders.

Stop selling yourself short. You are VERY articulate, more than most. I've been listening to you for years now. I'm just a farm boy from Ohio, so pay no attention...
Tangent: Education.
After watching many, many of your outstanding videos it occurred to me that a young person who wants to become a long term investor would be wise to get an undergraduate degree in liberal science course so that they has a good grasp of the fundamentals which all of this new technology is based upon. The rate of the growth of technology in almost every segment is such an enormous opportunity that it would be helpful if young investors had a good understanding of "First Principles".
I keep meeting smart people who in there young years had a questioning mind but not idea of what they wanted to do. I would suggest that a young person facing such a dilemma take some time to study science for a few years and let it lead you on a journey of discovery.
If the market wants affordable EV’s where’s the 25K vehicle? If Tesla is offering 0% interest 4 yr promotion on EV’s sales should spike?
If FSD is expensive, the major ways for Tesla to make money from FSD will be to sell it to businesses or to run a robotaxi network themselves. Some consumers will buy, but if FSD pricing pushes car prices too high for average consumers (who will be feeling wage competition from intelligent machines and wage erosion from inflation) then car ownership itself will drop in favor of robotaxis. For many, it may be desirable or convenient to own their own vehicles but finances will force them to use robotaxis.
Hey Steven, maybe sell all your shares in tesla now, before it get's revalued as a car company by the market. Cheers!
