This finals are like final mission in the campaign, where zerg have surrounded you base and send waves after waves after waves to you, one is stronger than another. Only the strongest player can handle that pressure and win the game.
12:30 The SCV tried diplomacy, offering up it's golden minerals to the Drone. The Drone wasn't having any of that though, and paid for it's insolence in blood!
Asking for a draw makes sense even if it's just because neither player thinks they can successfully attack. If each player thinks they can only win by defending, they would both prefer to draw rather than wait for an attack that's never coming.
After game 1 I'm dying. Here's Winter all dressed up for _THE_ most professional StarCraft (lookin' good!) and instead we get Dark doing Dark things. God I love Dark games, 🤣
I always just click on these without looking at how long the videos are and BOY WAS I SURPRISED. Can't complain because this is definitely a rivalry that can fill two hours. The comment spoiler that I didn't avoid actually even made me more excited to see how they get there.
Hey Winter. Next time they type Korean in game, you can always use the google translate app to "translate from photograph" with your smart phone. No need to wait for chat
This match convinced me that mutas should cost 85/85. That means that you spend 1,020/1,020 for 12 mutas instead of 1000/1000 for 10. Makes using them (and losing them) less of an "all-in" style risk.
After watching starcraft for decades, I'm convinced that the workers are the most important VIP units of the game. They should cost 500/500 and take 5 supply, and there should be no free workers in the beginning.
@@trstnhn I forgot that most RTS players are so bitter and self-consumed that balance discussions are basically impossible. Mutas are a unit that are almost never used, and when they are used it feels like gambling. Reducing their cost would a completely appropriate way to make this unit more usable, thereby increasing the variety in the game. Or we could just reduce the damage of every Zerg unit by one so you could win all your games. That would be fun, right?
@EncryptedLiberty I feel like you're describing yourself right now. I'm just over here meming, and you took offense at my worker comment for some weird incomprehensible reason. Just for your information, all 3 races have workers. And by the way I don't even play Starcraft anymore. And the last time I played I was a zerg
When I was a kid we had a rule that you couldn’t attack until ten minutes so that you had time to build a massive army and have one enormous battle. Also because my uncle could actually play the game and that’s the only way we stood a chance 3v1

Game 1 gave me an idea for an episode of a web series that does not yet exist called StarCraft 2 chronicles. The Protoss are dead, and the Terrans and Zerg have been locked in a war of attrition for decades. Neither race can break the stalemate of generations of warfare. The victor merely becomes the Stewart of the resource-drained star systems, and mutual destruction is all but assured no matter the outcome.
I think Post-Youth is one of the funniest maps in SC2 history. I don't know why, but it makes people do just the silliest builds ever. 7 Hatcheries before 6 minutes? Sure, why not? 6 Un-upgraded marines sent out for scouting/pressure at a weird timing? Sure, why not?
As a not very good diamond league Terran, that first game feels like exactly what my opponents do when I vs a Zerg 😂 check the reply and they have like 5 base by 6 minutes 😂
Byun always but always is so much to watch. Thank you Winter for giving so us insanely good commentary and good-quality video. Instead of going with the draw they should have fight one last time and the winner of that wins the match.
Jimmy! My day has gotten better. Winter casting sc2 is like playing at mcdonalds play place when they first came out in the 80s. And the BW vs SC2 series is brilliant
Hey winter! I just got into sc2 and you've quickly filled up my page. Your videos are really fun to watch, I like that you're not some clouted up 16 year old kid drifting a Lambo around or resulting to lame gimmicks. You're just a dude in his late 20s who likes StarCraft, plays the game, and talks about it. Cheers man, good luck with the future!
The mutas are working because he has those overseer units acting as a meatshield for the auto-attacking turrets. All of which have the same speed, creating a sort of fast-moving damage ball which can harass very well.
LOL your face at the draw was worth all the gas spent on that game xD edit 1: the 2nd intro xD why cant i like twice? ... ah i love watching your daily uploads but this one was hilarious
I think, a good idea could be single random mineral patches in the center of the map could increase the possibilities for ultra late game, while using long distance mining.
I don't play that much starcraft, just play with my buddies every now and then, we sit around gold. I'm not super invested in the game. That said, this was DEEPLY entertaining. The draw at the end of the first game was unexpected.

Such an epic comeback from being absolutely dumbfounded. If casters were like players, Winter would be Dark.

Ah yes. A finals game in SC2. The relaxing time when we can enjoy quality TvZ, TvT or ZvZ action.
protoss players suck what can be done
This felt like Stalingrad and Tarawa back to back in games 1 and 2. Insane work by both players.
We had ww 2 and cold war all in one game. And nobody won! Now that's a war simulation!
I feel like we need the equivalent of "another warhead!" Voice line for Dark whenever he builds another round of 100 lings.
