The language sung by Troy at the beginning of the song is Welsh. Troy plays the Uilleann pipes and the Low Whistle. Both are Irish instruments. It was a Nightwish concert at the sold out Wembley Arena. Marko's instrument is called "The Beast". The top neck is a 4 string bass guitar, and the bottom one is a 6 string electric guitar. Walden is a book by Henry David Thoreau, chronically the two years he lived by Walden Pond, seeking solitude and a oneness with nature by living simply and creating an environment that suited him and no one else. He interacted with others, selling beans he had grown, but did not integrate with their institutions. The line in the song “ I do not wish to evade the world, yet I will forever build my own,” captures that nicely, I think. NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘.
To find one's own Walden, is to find the place, whether a physical location or a state of mind where you feel at one with nature, at peace within. Walden of course a reference to Henry David Thoreau staying at Walden Pond in Massachusetts, and writing.the poetic inspiration for this fun song. Nightwish has another (off list) VERY Celtic tribute/cover of Gary Moore's Over The Hills And Far Away. Video is live w clips of behind the scenes candid pix of the band on tour. And a hug from a cat...what could be better? You'll really enjoy it!
Don Henley has been active in trying to preserve Walden, I think. Good work. Now he should make work easier for reactors on RUclips with Eagles material.
@Erick Vermeulen I think I've heard that too! Seen The Eagles several times...wow were they tight! Too bad they hated each other the whole time they were together.
In this song (also in some others) Marko plays the "Beast", a custom made double neck as a Warwick bass and a Framus 6-string guitar. He is also a exceellent guitar player (classical trained).
Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen
Unfortunately not, they just put out a statement. The next album will have 12 track with 3 video from it . But they said they will not be touring for the new album
Marko is playing a custom Warwick bass/Framus guitar double neck, model Infinity Panthera. Nicknamed " The Beast" for its size and weight. Can't say the process of sound tho...
The guitar that Marko is playing is called "The Beast", it weighs 45 pounds and has a six-string neck on the bottom (usually tuned for acoustic guitar sound) and a four string bass neck on top. Dual neck guitars usually have a switch to change between pickup sets.
Glad you noticed that Marko's bass is higher in the mix. It's true of every song at Wembley, Ghost Love Score is where it REALLY stands out. Another GLS reaction isn't unheard of, and I think you would enjoy the subtle differences. Nightwish Army Arizona Division checking in. 🇺🇲🌵
If I remember correctly, Marko did the mixing of the live DVD Vehicle of Spirit, which is where this performance comes from. Of course his bass sounds good!
Gabriels list is of course not an edict. It's not the law. But I do recommend you follow it, for several reasons. At least don't "tackle" the big ones like Poet and the Pendulum or Greatest Show on Earth, for example, until you've done the others that preceed them in the list. Like I said, for several reasons. One of the reasons is because the comments on the videos leading up to it will give you extremely important context that will lead you to appreciate and enjoy the songs and performance a lot more. So it's for your own sake, not ours, that you follow the list broadly.
If you want to hear more of Troy on lead vocals, react to the lyric video of _The_ _Harvest_ (from their latest album), which I really like. Also, the Planet Rock acoustic version of _How's_ _the_ _Heart?_ is just him and Floor, and it sounds great! For more folky vibes with the Beast, check out _The_ _Islander_ live at Tampere and _Elvenjig/Elvenpath_ live at Buenos Aires. Finally, _Last_ _of_ _the_ _Wilds_ at Wacken. That should keep you going a while...
If you want something interesting to listen to, check out the song Anoana by Heilung. They’re a super cool folk group that handmakes all their own instruments and stage clothes.
Good job, If you want to keep with the keltic theme then there instrumental "Last of the Wilds" live at Wacken 2013 will get you really going . Hint its the boys jamming there asses off while Floor changes outfits mid show - ruclips.net/video/aAbe5sJDiUI/видео.html
To hear Troy singing more watch the lyric video track Harvest from the latest album Human II Nature ruclips.net/video/Xy29T7LBM_I/видео.html. And to hear him on acoustic guitar with Floor try a version of How's The Heart on Planet Rock. ruclips.net/video/yYtkPpFYzOo/видео.html
For a guy who is into many genres in the east, you forgot the most important band in S.Korea. Seo Taiji, big friends of bts and the progenitor of k-pop!! I am sure it was an over sight 🤔 on your part!! Just passing through, thought I would prod you in the right direction 😎
You're a music producer but doesn't know how a double neck works??? One's a bass One's a guitar. Look at the tuning knobs!knows! I don't if you realized it, but you talked thru the whole video...
Nowadays it's too easy for "music producers" to deal with 'instruments' since you have access on any instrument with a laptop, for example. Majority of producers have never touched any instrument though. "Producer" is not a synonym to : "a person who plays music with an instrument", never have been. Vice versa many artists who plays some sort of an instrument do produce their own music. What comes to talking on the reaction... Many reactors does that but it doesn't mean they are NOT capable of hearing what they're listening. Some of us might find this "annoying", "disturbing", or simply disliking this style of reactions. Gladly we have the option to move on to the search bar and type down the title for the original video to watch by our own Dunno if this "clarification" what is a 'producer' makes any sense to you, while being in fever and having flu symptoms, then at the same time trying to translate these Finnish thoughts in english text. ✌️😅 🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙 💯 💥
I sort of prefer Reactors who talk during the video over ones who sit through the entire video without sharing any thoughts. What are they thinking? Do they like the music or not? Are they picking up on the details of the song and musicians? I think Tylr does an excellent job of noticing details and pointing them out, and then, most importantly, backing up a few seconds to continue the video. As JaskaU2 alluded to - if someone wants to see the video uninterrupted they can go to the original official video and watch it.

Marko plays the Beast on The Islander too (Tampere version is great).

Nightwish - the band of millions of surprises. I just hope they will come back on stage in 2025!
Unfortunately not, they just put out a statement.

@@randynieves7571 Every now and then plans change - I remain optimistic!
Actually Floor has already said they will come back later, so no worries ❤ its not that they will never tour, just not right after next album.

I got a feeling you'd love Elvenjig&Elvenpath. I know I love it

The accoustic version of Hows the heart Troy is playing and singing with Floor
Great reaction TYLR! My first time hearing this song.
Yes, each has a separate output which goes to different amplifiers.
Excellent reaction from you - - - again 👍 😊

The two-neck guitar that Marko is playing: The top one with the longer neck is the bass; the bottom one with the shorter neck is the electric guitar.

Marko is using his custom Warwick double neck, the top plays bass while the bottom is more of an acoustic sounding guitar.

I concur
Troy! Singing in Welsh :)
Did you spot the Windmill in the background? :)
I wonder...did you ever react to the band Epica, or the project Ayreon?
