Troy has been working with Nightwish for a longer time than Floor has. You can see Troy playing in the music video for The Islander. That was recorded when Anette was the lead singer. Floor and Troy became real members of Nightwish at the same time, I have been told.

My Walden, Élan and Alpenglow are the Nightwish songs that give me the happiest feeling. Endless Forms Most Beautiful album as a whole is my favorite now. I might also add Edema Ruh to the previous list, especially the acoustic version from the Baltic Princess cruise. For those who love fantasy books and don't know who Edema Ruh are I would recommend King Killer Chronicles. Edema Ruh are travelling entertainers, there's a bit more to that but you'll learn to know them when you read the books.

I'll third The Carpenter... and I'll raise it to a double reaction, do the music video too, it's adorably 90s... Buenos Aires 2018 is a wonderful rendition, but The Carpenter was Nightwish's very first single from their first album, Angels Fall First... and Tuomas sang the male parts on that album! No, he's not a great singer, but it's pretty cool to hear all the same. Another fun fact, they didn't actually have a bass player yet when they recorded Angels Fall First, so Emppu supplied the bass tracks as well as guitars on the studio version.
Troy is so English that I would actually label him as the Obi-Wan Kenobi of Nightwish....... For some reason when you were talking about how he feels certain things and how he blends with floor so well I totally agree with you but all of a sudden I was getting this vision of Obi-Wan Kenobi and what he was like in Star wars and plus they both have beards and English accents LOL so it made me laugh but I like the analogy!!!

My Walden, I want My Tears back, The Islander, Harvest. I like the way Nightwish uses folk sound in their recent era but all those songs sounds very different between them. Troy is a genious.
Troy is British. He is from Northeastern England and now lives in Yorkshire. When Troy is a big part of Nightwish he brings out that Celtic folk quality in the band. A little feel good song that allows Troy be in the spotlight. Loved it!
