This band, this group of musicians are head and shoulders above anything else that I have heard. An exceptional live band without equal and as Floor, well what can I say about her that hasn't been said countless times before. Yes Andrei, magical.

Myself and my wife saw NIGHTWISH for the first time at the NEC BIRMINGHAM IN NOVEMBER & it realy was MAGICAL.
A BIG SHOUT OUT FOR TROY A HUGE TALENT AND THEN SOME.
The opening verse is Welsh as follows:

In English means:

I'd recommend Elvenjig / Elvenpath (Decades Live in Buenos Aires).
Every Nightwish composition that I have heard since my first listen to them 12 months ago has been a joy."My Walden" is so uplifting and is no exception with the trademark Nightwish drama, multi-layering and transitions. Tuomas is up there with Jeff Lynne of the Electric Light Orchestra (E.L.O.) as two of the best songwriting composers ever. A phenomenal group of musicians. Thank you Dominika and Andrei for the beautiful people that you are and for a wonderfully joyous reaction as always. 🙏♥️😊👍
I definitely agree. It's great that you just took Jeff Lynne as a point of comparison, because he also used symphonic elements in his compositions. Interesting to think what they would accomplish together. Or maybe two geniuses wouldn't fit in one studio.
@@kaljami3061 Yes, I've been an E.L.O. and Jeff Lynne enthusiast for 45 years since the mid 70s and when a friend of mine kept pestering me to have a listen to Nightwish preferably live around 12 months ago, I succumbed and did and really liked what I heard due in part to the E.L.O. similarities. I was blown away and I've been down the Nightwish rabbit hole ever since soaking up everything from the wonderful Tarja and Annette eras and now the incomparable Floor. I would hope that Tuomas and Jeff would get on like a house on fire as both were/are musical trailblazers but maybe, like you say the studio wouldn't be big enough for two absolute geniuses. I'm grateful to have them both for being a part of my musical journey. 👍😊
You two are great. Here is my observation.. Most reactors jump on the Nightwish train, kind of using the Nightwish Army to boost their channel with thousands of views. After they get through the popular, maybe top 10 or so, they all of the sudden stop. Makes you wonder about their reactions, and about how authentic they are.
You two, are legit. I always love seeing a new video up, and not only just for Nightwish, but others as well. Thanks for your great personalities, and reactions.
One of my favourite NW songs. SUCH a beautiful tune. The pure joy is just unmatchable.
Hi again Andre and Dominica. Love you guys. It is so wonderful to hear you two react to my favorite Nightwish song. I told Carol, my lovely wife of 41 years, that when I die (hopefully not soon) that this is the video I want played at my memorial party. In New Orleans, there is a tradition of celebrating the life of those who pass instead of having a pity party. And, even though I am not from New Orleans, I like that approach to life and death. This is such a joyous song and performance that it brings great happiness to me whenever I watch it. Thank you both.

Tuomas got the inspiration for the song from Henry David Thoreau's book: "Walden; or, Life in the Woods" (1854). He was an American transcendentalist writer and the book tells about the author's simple living in natural surroundings. Walden details Thoreau's experiences in a cabin he built near Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts.
My Walden is after Henry Thoreau's book Walden based on his experiences over the course of two years, two months, and two days in a cabin he built near Walden Pond amidst woodland near Concord, Massachusetts.

Troy is from Cumbria in the north of England. He sings the first part in Welsh.
Troy is also, FYI, an accomplished magician too as well as a hypnotherapist of sorts.
Here's a little anecdote from Tuomas:
"Back in the day, I used to get scared stiff before the show - it was just nauseating, pure horror. It all changed when Troy did some kind of a hypnotic trick to me in Los Angeles in 2012. I really don't know what happened during those twenty minutes, but afterwards, I haven't really panicked before going on slage"

This one is inspired by a book released in 1854 from Henry David Thoreau (July 12, 1817 - May 6, 1862) was an American naturalist, essayist, poet, and philosopher. A leading transcendentalist, he is best known for his book Walden, a reflection upon simple living in natural surroundings.
One of Tuomas' favorite literary authors and a sentiment he very much agrees with philosophically.

Troy plays the Uilleann pipes and the Low Whistle. Both are Irish instruments.
Walden is a book by Henry David Thoreau, chronically the two years he lived by Walden Pond, seeking solitude and a oneness with nature by living simply and creating an environment that suited him and no one else. He interacted with others, selling beans he had grown, but did not integrate with their institutions. The line in the song “I do not wish to evade the world, yet I will forever build my own,” captures that nicely, I think.

On that album I constantly jumped from "Elan" to "My Walden" to "Edema Ruh", all three have a positive vibe. Not sure if there is a good live version of "Edema Ruh" though.

that song is very powerful the rhythms if you don't feel stronger after hearing this particular song some very strong positive but their music is really intellectually stimulating that endless forms most beautiful album has so much life in it holy masterpiece like why mankind as a whole should really be embracing life instead of wanting to have abortions everytime someone thinks thats what they should be doing
