Thank you soooo much for your reaction. Please if this helps....you WILL BE AMAZED with Nightwish. :)
Welcome, to Nightwish. :) Here is my list for you......but first.....

This band is going to rock your world dude.
    Empuu - Lead guitar
(jokester and very deliberative in his playing)
Jukka on drums, but had to stop due to insomnia (but is still behind the scenes with Nightwish), new drummer is Kai who was the drummer with Wintersun.
Tuomas - keyboards and main song writer/choreographer for Nightwish aka genius. :)

Hello Anastasia Luna ! Nightwish fans here, your musical quest summoned us.
Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band, performing here at Wacken Open Air festival 2013, together with Floor Jansen, the 3rd and present female singer of the band, in front of a 82k audience.
Also a recent sad news - these days Marco Hietala, the bass player and male singer of the band, announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least - we'll see what the future brings to us.
About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners.
As I saw, you enjoyed the powerful performance of the band, together with the stellar vocals of our Dutch metal queen, Floor Jansen. Hope you'll continue on this path.
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland.
Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition.
Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (powerful operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her.
There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps.
I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol "
Hoping you'll continue this journey with us, I'll drop here a list of songs (with links) with the current lineup of the band you may like (please consider this list of links only as "a tip of the iceberg", an indication that they have a vast and very diverse repertoire, and not as something mandatory):

Last but not the least - they just released their 9th studio album on April 10th 2020 named "Human :||: Nature" - just take a peek to their official playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLihZ3gi5Yvzc0pfH2cbNKUUX8o3pb8eVg (for example: "Shoemaker", the 3rd track from this album, tells the story of Eugene Shoemaker, one of the founders of planetary science, whose ash was sent on the Moon after his death, as a tribute from the scientific community ..)
The links presented above are with the current singer of the band, Floor Jansen, since I'm a fan of the recent era of the band, with Floor as the singer. I have nothing against previous singers, but I do not consider myself the most suitable person to give specific recommendations from their repertoires.
** I think it's your place, fans of previous Nightwish eras, to present to the reactors the best recommendations with Tarja Turunen and Anette Olzon, because you know and appreciate them directly. I encourage you to add the best recommendations in the comments. **
That being said, I will add here the message left the other days by an old fan of the band, @Fabrizio Gorla: " To be fair to the old fanbase, you may want to include also some of these songs. Just be fair and don’t make a comparison if you don’t want an open war in your comment section.

For entire episodes of the show with En subtitles, you should check Denise Hofs's DM channel: dailymotion_dot_com/xpinkeu/videos
In these pandemic times, Floor Jansen has decided to make covers for us, which you can find on her YT channel - there are already 6 covers there, the first is "Let It Go" from "Frozen" (20 weeks ago, already over 2.278M views), the second - "Alone" from "Heart" , released 18 weeks ago - 1.091M and counting. Then 16 weeks ago she dropped the third cover, in Dutch: "Is Dit Nou Later" from Stef Bos - already 270K views. Just before Christmas she made a powerful cover of "Ave Maria" - already 287K views. 13 weeks ago she added a remastered / remixed version of the first one, "Let It Go" - already 189K. 11 weeks ago she added to the list a powerful cover of "Adagio" by Lara Fabian (!!!) - 397K views now. Then, just 6 weeks ago she gave us the last one so far: "Oblivion" by M83 - 419K views in 6 weeks..
Thank you! Waiting for more Nightwish reactions. All the best from RO. Stay safe.

❤❤❤ Well they have toured in the U.S. several times, I was lucky enough to be at two shows, but it is understandable that you may never have known they were here. They get virtually zero fanfare in the states compared to the mass produced, factory and farmed music that you briefly alluded to. The average American musical taste would need to be deprogrammed and reset before Nightwish would be that big here. Luckily a lot of Americans are discovering them on youtube the last couple years. So it is not entirely bleak. And there is a short tour scheduled for october.. two dates in Los Angeles, also NYC and Lowell, MA. If you fall hard for them, maybe you can make it to one of those. And they have two virtual concerts streaming in May. It isn't up close and personal but it will be live and inside like a virtual environment. ❤❤❤

hey Anastasia, great reaction, hope you sincerely enjoyed it, NW is Symphonic Metal (also called Beautiful Metal )the Symphonic elements are from the London Philharmonic composed by the keyboardist Tuomas, it's an addiction, and for some of us may need intervention :)this Wacken 2013 is perfection ,a seminal event where every song is GOLD & better than the originals ,82,000 in attendance for Nightwish, considering Floor Jansen (who is the 3rd,current and final vocalist) had only been 10months in singing with the band at this point, but few singers and I have seen many live move me like Floor does, as many reactors have said there's something ,maybe intangible about the timber and color of her vocals that's very penetrating, and yet this song GLS -( 3rd from the end of a 15 song set) is but a small taste of what this band and singer has to experience. It is the most reacted to song on YT ever so far, with some vocal coach reactors having over 2.5 Million views.
I suggest staying with this Wacken 2013 before moving on to the other outstanding concerts, yes NW is best Live, then there is Floor's continued vocal versatility on the Dutch tv show
Beste Zangers 2019 on YT ,she sings Shallow,Phantom of The Opera,Vilja Lied & more ,then her
recent YT covers of Alone-Heart,Adagio-Lara Fabian,AveMaria,Oblivion, etc.
so much to discover ,so welcome aboard this NW journey,it's an exceptional ride. cheers

Nightwish is a symphonic metal band from Finland. Founded in 1996, in a small town of Kitee with 10k people.
Please for your next Nightwish reaction: "Ever Dream" OFFICIAL LIVE Wacken 2013.
Just a few days ago Floor Jansen, she is Dutch, answered fans' questions and said "Ever Dream" is the hardest song to sing. So that it doesn't sound squeaky, I think she said. The song was not written for her to sing, but for the original Nightwish female vocalist Tarja Turunen.
At Wacken 2013 Floor had only been with Nightwish for 10 months. She joined Nightwish late 2012 in the midst of the Nightwish American tour. She was attending her sister's wedding when she got the call from Tuomas Holopainen - the founder, band leader, main songwriter, (composition, lyrics, arrangement), of Nightwish - asking her to join Nightwish, to replace Anette Olzon, the 2nd Nightwish female vocalist. She had just recovered from burnout and she said yes.
She had 48 hours to fly to the US and learn the setlist. A huge undertaking although she was not totally new to Nightwish. The 1st concerts were not perfect, naturally, but the audiences loved her right away. Nightwish is awesome LIVE!
Wacken 2013 Wembley Arena 2015, Tampere 2015, Buenos Aires 2018. Great concerts, good quality videos.
    More Nightwish reactions, please!
    Greetings from Helsinki Finland!
    Tuomas Holopainen, keyboardist/songwriter
    Emppu Vuorinen, guitar
Jukka Nevalainen, drums, from 2015 on Kai Hahto, a good friend of Jukka's, Jukka had to step down due to insomnia, nowadays he takes care of the business/management side of Nightwish.
Marko Hietala, bassist/vocalist joined Nightwish in 2001, he just left the band a few moths ago, at least for the rest of the year. I really hope he comes back.
    Tarja Turunen, vocals 1996-2005
    All mentioned above are Finns
Floor Jansen, she is Dutch, 2012-
Anette Olzon is from Sweden 2007-2012
Then there is the "6th member" Troy Donockley, the multi-instrumentalist, from tje UK. He joined officially a few months after Wacken 2013 concert, just like Floor. Troy had occasionally played with Nightwish for several years before that, whenever some "weird" instruments were needed.

Welcome to the Nightwish an Floor Jansen rabbit hole: it's deep, and only gets better and better. I would recommend reacting to EVERY song from this Wacken performance - probably watch "Storytime" or "Romanticide" next. Oh, and this might blow your mind; Floor was hired on as a replacement singer for this tour, and is singing only songs written for the previous vocalists styles and range; at this point she was only in the band touring for 7 to 8 months? She since, obviously, became the true lead vocalist at the end of this tour, and has done the last 2 studio albums with Nightwish. Enjoy- She's, IMHO, THE BEST! \m/

They do tour the US occasionally. 2015 & 2018 and a couple of show coming up this year in LA , NY, and Lowell MA. Nightwish is also doing a live virtual show at the end of May. Tickets still available. This song was near the end of the 90 minute set. Floor Jansen (Yahn-sen), the Dutch queen of symphonic metal is rare and special. She is my favorite vocalist on the planet. Nightwish is a very unique band which sounds amazing live. I thought maybe from your slight accent that you were Russian. Nightwish also has several shows planned in Russia and other former states of the Soviet Union for later this year. Check out the message from Gabriel Bardac below. He will give you all of the background on Nightwish as well as many suggestions for additional reactions. Loved your reaction and commentary on this epic performance. Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, agility, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a soprano with a range of more than three octaves (D3 to F6). It is apparent when listening to her sing that she has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several vocal coaches. Floor can sing in multiple languages and genres and is a vocal coach herself. It is incredible how she is able to take any song and make it her own. This woman is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to a band that has always been great until 2013 when they officially hired the undisputed Queen of Metal Floor Jansen, making Nightwish the greatest band on the planet.

It's amazing how good she sounds on this particular performance since this was #13 in a 15 song setlist. And being an open-air performance, it also says a lot about their sound engineers, FOH, etc. You can't get audio this good only relying on post-production. The source going into post has to be outstanding to be superior.

I heard this song about the time they fired the original singer Tarja. When I first heard this version, I could not believe the quality of her voice, especially live. I also live in the US (California) and do not get to see much of live symphonic metal which I just love. So just before the pandemic I started watching reactions to some of my favorite symphonic metal bands. especially Nightwish and especially this song. I wanted to see why this song is not known because it is one of the best songs I ever heard, especially this version with Floor Jansen. And most mirror what you are saying. So I just wish the would get more publicity because this is one of the greatest songs ever written. I am not just talking about the vocals of this Metal Godess, but also the writing Tumos. I am so glad to hear people hear the quality I hear. I think they are the best bands and deserve that type of recognition that goes along with it.
I also have to say you have a very good voice and am going to listen to some of your songs also.

When this was recorded Floor had been the bands replacement singer for 10 months. She was called in when 2nd singer Anette Olzen was fired. She was given 48 hours to learn the set list before her first show with the band. This song wasn't on the setlist when Floor joined due to the fact that Anette couldn't sing it. But Floor had heard it when she was on tour with Nightwish as a supporting act with the band After Forever. That was when the bands first singer Tarja sang it. Floor loved the song and asked Tuomas if they could put it on the list. And they did.

You can see them kind of live if you want so bad. They play two liveshows on 28th and 29th of may online. 28th is more for Europe and 29th at a different time with a slight different setting for the US. Reason for playing livegigs online is that they usually go on tour right after they release an album. Unfortunatelly they released their latest album "Human :| Nature" last April (i guess it was April) right into the pandemic and the hole Tour is postponed and since today they had never play their new stuff live.
So if you want to see a live show go to their homepage and buy your ticket ;) Or wait since the pandemic is over. Then they will go on a real tour and of course tour in the US too. Because I´m in Europe I´m not sure where in the US they will be exactly.

Floor can sing sing anything, so you said, indeed she can. Listen and give your comment at least at the following nummers, they are quote different.
-The Poet and the Pendulum (The composer, Tuomas, wrod this to heal from a depression which het got when the first female leadsinger had to be fired) I is a tearjerker.
-Yours is an empty hope (a fast metal nummer, with a lot of crawls, and Floor does the low crawls)

A big welcome to the Nightwish Universe from Nightwish Army Denmark 🇩🇰
Nightwish do have a Virtual live concert at the end of May!!
    ***
And we have to warn you - you will get addicted to Nightwish...
With this song you just scratched the surface of Nightwish's and Floor's capabilities.
Deep deep lyrics, extremely tight music, nothing overdone - and Floor - well - she is in a league of her own. Her voice techniques, breathe techniques, her voice toolbox - her emotional and passionate control - her stage performance, her crowd control /dialog with the audience...
Plus notice how happy and "brothers in arms" the band are on stage - that effects the audience.
And yes - you have to experience Nightwish live - it is a once in a lifetime experience - each time.
For 2 hours, they will move your spine and soul, like nothing else ever before.
Symphonic Metal are compositions made and executed by the top of the top - created like symphonies in chapters. Tuomas is called the Metal Mozart or the modern Mozart..
    And Floor....
And this one is not their longest - nope - you have so much coming your way 😉
Enjoy the ride into the Nightwish Universe and greetings from Nightwish Army Denmark 🇩🇰 👍 💪 🤘 🤘

  • @Hexley_Vexley

    Great reaction! 👍🤘
Nightwish is a glorious rabbit hole of awesome, with world class song-writing, musicianship and arguably (or unarguably to most who've heard her enough😉) the best female vocalist alive today (maybe ever), Floor Jansen.
Floor is the third female vocalist that Nightwish have had, she was only with them on tour for 10 months at this point and officially joined the band in 2013, she is still with them today.
The other band members are -
Tuomas Holopainen - Song writer/composer and Keyboards. (Finland)
Marko Hietala - Bassist and vocals. (Finland)
    Emppu Vuorinen - Guitarist (Finland)
    Jukka Nevalainen - Drums (Finland)
Troy Donockley - Multi-instrumentalist and Vocals. (United Kingdom)
Floor herself is Dutch and is another glorious rabbit hole of awesome as she has a lot of non-Nightwish related stuff that she has done that is all pretty amazing as well.
The name of the genre they generally belong to is Symphonic Metal but their discography is extremely varied.
This was the 13th song in this particular set, she is belting notes like that the entire set.
Nighwish are almost always better experienced with live versions of their songs if at all possible.
Some suggestions for more songs for you to continue your journey would be Storytime, Ever Dream, Romanticide, Nemo, Amaranth and Song of Myself all from Wacken 2013.
Saying that, anything from Wacken 2013 is golden really to start, there's a reason why that set is pretty legendary at this point, 82,000 people were in attendance.
Beware of some messed up slowed down versions of the Wacken 2013 songs as they can take the energy right out of the performances, just check the comments on them and I'm sure someone will mention if it's a slowed down version.
Your choice obviously but I'd avoid Poet and the Pendulum and The Greatest Show on Earth for now until you are more familiar with the band and it's history, they will make alot more sense and be more enjoyable for you that way.
Enjoy your Nightwish journey, I know I did!😎🤘

It is obvious our Dutch Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen has taken yet another soul. She is considered the best and most versatile female singer of our time. To see how she developed this, check out her former bands 'After Forever' and 'Revamp'. She joined 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. My favourite song is 'Energize Me'. They made a very nice music video from this one. They disbanded in 2009 and Floor started her own band 'Revamp' from scratch. Here she experimented with different vocal styles within one song, from full operatic to serious growling in seconds. The songs 'Disdain' and 'Wild Card' are good examples. Then the call came from Nightwish in 2012 to fill in for the remainder of the American Tour at first. But the rest of the World Tour followed also. After she became a permanent member of Nightwish after this Wacken concert (the official announcement came later, but it was clear that this combination was made in Walhalla), she kept performing with 'Revamp' for a couple of years, but it became obvious, that she could not combine the two much longer and they disbanded in 2016. Her side project 'Northward' is also worth a look. The song 'While Love Died' shows yet another side of Floor. Her mindblowing performances on the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers 2019' gave her at last some more recognition in her home country, where she was relatively unknown until then. Also on RUclips there are numerous guest appearances with other bands to find. As live concerts were cancelled and home isolation due to the Covid situation, Floor uploaded many interesting videos in the last year, such as chats with her idols and other singers. mindblowing covers, vocal masterclasses and so much more. Her 'Fan Friday' videos are hilarious. Just go to her RUclips channel and unpack some of the presents she left there. Floorgasm alert! Her video reacting to herself doing this performance at Wacken 2013 is a must see. Lots of technical info and some memories of her early days with Nightwish.

@Anastasia Luna... Thank you! Here are my thoughts.
WHY "GHOST LOVE SCORE" BY NIGHTWISH COULD BE THE BEST MUSICAL COMPOSITION IN THE PAST 50 YEARS
I should begin by stating my music credentials, which do not include much in the way of professional training. I can read music. I took classical piano lessons in my elementary years. Started with the trumpet in high school band, but spent the last three years in the percussion section. I have been a part of a church choir from 1st grade until now. Most of the choir directors were good and a few of them were true vocal coaches.
My early music appreciation was steeped in the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods from ensembles and concertos to opera and symphonies. So there's that. When I could afford to purchase my own musical selections, they were by and large rock and roll. Then the likes of Emerson Lake & Palmer, The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, and Rush came along to create a new genre called Progressive Rock. This class is defined by longer songs that usually tell a story, complex scores influenced by classical and jazz, and (usually) a bigger variety of instruments. I have been stuck in the early '70s, enjoying 50 year old favorites until about a month ago, when I discovered the next morph of Prog Rock... Symphonic Metal, which had been a thing for almost 20 years, now. I never knew this because radio stations rarely air any piece that goes beyond the average length of 2 minutes and 49 seconds.
I was poking through RUclips one day, and came across Elizabeth Zharoff's channel, where she gave her first reaction and critique of a band that she (and I) had never heard of. Nightwish! As an opera singer and voice coach, her viewers had repeatedly requested her review of "Ghost Love Score" for the superb voice quality of their lead singer, Floor Jansen. Well, both of our mouths were agape throughout the performance. (2013 live at Wacken, Germany, pronounced VAH-ken, with 82,000 fans.) I listened to Zharoff's critique with intensity, all the while feeling like I had been on a roller coaster. In order to shorten this story, I must have watched 15 or more other "first reactions" featuring this same performance of "Ghost Love Score". They ranged from nobodies, to other vocal coaches, choir directors, opera singers, metal bands, and guitarists. Either these people were great pretenders, or they were all genuinely flabbergasted with both Floor and the band. I will let each one speak for themselves. I, on the other hand, will provide my reasons for why I think this piece is so outstanding.
Nightwish is a six piece band founded in 1996 in Finland. There is a bass guitar (and singer), lead guitar, synth/keyboardist (composer of most of their works), drummer, an Englishman for pipes, recorder, and oboe, and a female lead singer. Since the Fall of 2012, that has been Floor Jansen, a genuine Dutch Viking of 6' 2" with lots of classical training. One might think that this would be average except for excellent training and skill of each member playing as one, plus coordinated background recordings by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Boys' Choir. Although these great attributes apply to a majority of Nightwish scores, it is perfectly displayed in "Ghost Love Score."
Remember the genre Symphonic Metal? A symphony is divided into four movements; the first movement is usually fast (allegro) and introduces the main theme, the second one is slow (adagio) and tells a story, the third is medium and louder (scherzo) and brings the story up to the point of resolution, and the fourth movement is another fast allegro or rondo, bringing back the first theme to a crescendo for the finale. "Ghost Love Score" does all of this in less than 11 minutes.
The first movement opens with the drummer as the feature, pounding out an odd rhythm. It took me awhile to figure out that it was alternating measures of 6/8 time and 5/8 time, giving 11 beats to the cadence. I won't even focus on the accompanying backdrop screens and pyrotechnics going on. Not an easy trick to keep up. After a few bars, the tones are modulated up and the band goes into a 4/4, 3/4 mix, until Floor takes the microphone with a steady 4/4. The tune is soft and the voice is ethereal as the topic is introduced. This is a love that has been lost, but memories abound and a piece of the lover's heart will go forever missing. Lead and bass guitars perform a masterful counterpoint under the vocals, which is repeated in the 4th movement.
The second movement blends in after only 8 beats and a couple of cymbol strikes, and a change is noted in the overall broader sound structure. The music is still in 4/4 but Floor's presentation is slower, more deliberate, and adds meaningful insight to the first. In fact, she stays mostly in a chest voice, declaring the things that were and might have been. As in many symphonic pieces where one instrument copies another, the lead guitar repeats the melody that Floor sings, ending in two slide riffs, high to low. Following this adagio, there is a brief instrumental interlude (over two minutes) as Floor leaves the stage. The orchestra continues and the melody becomes more somber, adding tension as the audience holds its breath.
The third movement (scherzo) blasts everyone's attention with the prominent drummer switching to 6/8 time along with keyboard, guitars and what sounds like 50 strings. Floor returns to the microphone and belts out what sounds like a sea shanty song, followed by a series of perfect pitch operatic shouts and 80,000 voices join in. Chest voice equals more power. At this point, the instruments mirror the strange 11 beat syncopation as in the beginning. A brief drum solo bridges this to the final movement.
The fourth movement (allegro) by no surprise, follows suit. Dropping back to 4/4 time, the finale begins with the repeat of the opening theme, only it is more robust and it quickly builds in volume. The vocalist becomes the focal power who pushes the finale to its conclusion, nailing a long A-flat #6 for the crescendo and resolve.
After reviewing what I just wrote, I realize that a synopsis of this work proves nothing of its being a masterpiece. At least, I focused more on the symphonic purity more than anyone else that I have watched. Some of the reaction people started to comment about it, until Floor started to sing and she, rightly so, became the only topic. I can only recommend that you watch and listen to "Ghost Love Score" at least three or four times. The eyes and ears will pick up on something overlooked each time. I am convinced that each member of the band not only knows their instruments, but understands music theory and could hold their own above the crowd as solo artists. I have listened to bassist Marco Hietala sing solos and he has a magnificent voice. I have listened to Floor Jansen sing the cover for the country song "Shallow," proving her multi-style talent. This specific composition, however, brings them all to the perfection of a well-oiled machine, becoming a sum much greater than the parts. To arrange and perform the multiple time signatures and stay in perfect synch with instruments, vocals, and even the insertion of prerecorded philharmonics at the appropriate places is nothing but masterful. Floor Jansen happens to be the third vocal lead for Nightwish and is the perfect fit. She sings with confidence, without trying to overshadow the other members. She exudes passion and energy, mixing her vocal styles from, lullaby, to folk, to metal growl and shouts, to opera. She engages with the fans dramatically, like she is singing to one listener. Quite frankly, I have never heard a voice like hers, and switching between angelic and blowing the roof off the stage in perfect tune has left me, along with all of the "first reaction" RUclipsrs, just speechless. Several have displayed the goose bumps on their arms, while others have been moved to tears. In conclusion, I can only say that "Ghost Love Score" pulls the listener into the story. It is the culmination of a 40-minute symphonic piece and a 3-hour opera that must be consumed in 10-1/2 minutes. It is both beautiful and exhausting, but definitely an experience. If Beethoven were alive today, would he have composed something like this? I think "Ghost Love Score" will stand the test of time as the best of this era.

I saw them at the Greek Theater in like 2015. They were amazing. I believe they are touring North America in the fall too. I saw some dates in September.

Well of course they tour America they tend to do the whole world. The concert you just heard was the end of the tour. It is significant because Floor was asked to help them out mid tour when the previous singer left. She did know them, but had a very short time to fly to the US and learn the playlist. You can watch the video about that whole episode to learn more about both the band and her. Her ability to do so says a great deal about her talent.

Greetings, Anastasia, and welcome to the world of Floor Jansen and Nightwish.
Safe to say the Nightwish Army is upon you. 😊😊
Floor is a soprano, attended the Dutch Rock Academy for 4 years, the Conservatorium Tilburg for 2 years, took one year of musical theater and one year of opera.
She prides herself a nerd in the anatomy and understanding of the vocal mechanism and how it works. From breath control in the diaphragm, rib muscles, and lungs, to the resonating tone created by the shape of the skull, and absolutely everything in between. And she has such knowledge of how to use this knowledge that..... well, yes, she sings in perfect pitch.
Her highest note recorded live, to date, is an F6 and is known for belting G5s, D5s, and E5s throughout her shows from beginning to end.
This song was a favorite of hers before she even sang with the band for the first time and is her favorite song to sing due to the opportunity to showcase her versatility.
I will now ask you to please subscribe to her channel as she has officially released a video reaction to this performance which I'm sure you will find not only interesting, but educational as well.
She also has master classes and videos about her life which she named "Sarurday Storytime".
Speaking of "Storytime", Wacken 2013 is my suggestion for your next reaction.
NOTE: A huge % of the recommended videos will point to this epic Wacken Open Air performance in 2013 as it has quickly become Nightwish's most viewed performance and is notmally used as the standard introduction to Nightwish.
You are going to love your journey. The rabbit hole goes deep, so buckle up and enjoy the ride.
Thank you for the video, reaction and comments. Stay safe and stay blessed. 😊❤🤘🤘
