This looks so good. I make a lime Jell-O salad with lime Jell-O, Cool Whip, cottage cheese, crushed pineapple, and chopped pecans. I always use the pineapple that is in heavy syrup.
3:38 I did not notice anything until Calvin ratted you out! Yours came out so smooth and consistent, because you did it in batches. So many people try to do it in one big motion by putting all the Jell-O in it once and it leaves little bits of cream cheese throughout the Jell-O. In the 80s I used to do this in a ring molds for my grandmother at Christmas and she would decorate it with cherries to look like a wreath. I’m going to have to make this for my girlfriend’s family the next time they come over. Thank you for the wonderful reminder of a great recipe! PS: Some of my family have the Sugar, and it’s so nice to see that you can do this with diet soda and diet Jell-O.
You are such a sweet southern woman. Enjoyed your video. I had a recipe of a similar salad but I rember boiling pineapple juice with a cup of sugar. Now unless I'm dreaming cause I can't find any recipe like that on the internet. Keep up the good work. 💯❤️🙏🇺🇸
I made Lime Jello Salad about a week ago, but the recipe I used was different than this one. I’ve never seen one using 7-Up/Sprite. I also add some Cottage cheese and chopped pecans. I’ll have to try your recipe next. My son and I are the only ones in the family who love Lime Jello Salad.
Lookin good Marie. Hope everything is going good with you and Calvin. God bless ,I am still praying for you .I have a bad cold and it has settled in my left eye. One thing after another seems like.
I THINK I HAVE HAD THIS AT GET-TOGETHERS OR FAMILY REUNIONS B UT IT WAS MANY MOONS AGO.THANK YOU, YOU ARE SO SWEET AND I LOVE YOUR NICE, CLEAN KITCHEN..I WILL BE FOLLOWING YOU, GOING TRY THIS MYSELF.IT LOOKS DELICIOUS AND REFRESHING.
HELLO FRIENDS I like that you showed this using sugar free jello. We also use sugar free sprite/7UP. In our 3 generation family of 5 two of us are diabetic. We love our jello (sugar free) . This is one of our jello dessert favorites. PRAYERS FOR CALVIN for HEALING & GUIDANCE. GOD BLESS from Julie West Central Indiana Farmland ✝️🇺🇸😊🙏🚜
Brings back great memories of Sunday lunches at my grandparents' house; my grandmother used to halve Maraschino cherries to drop in hers and then she froze it overnight. Good ole Southern vintage recipes are hard to beat. Thanks for sharing!
Hello Marie and Calvin. Just found your site not too long ago. I love your recipes, especially the vintage ones. My Mother used to make a lot of these. Hum, hum! Love you both together. Love oozes from you both. Calvin I hope your appointments come out fine. Praying for you! God bless you both!! Love in Christ!!
Hi Marie and Calvin. I love Jello so I'm excited to try this. How are you guys? I have been away for a little while but back now. Y'all have a blessed day❤
Great recipe. Sorry I didn't comment sooner, have a seriously ill sister right now. Hope Calvin is doing as best he can with the feeding tube. In my thoughts and prayers. 😇🙏💕
My Grandmother made something like this, will try it. Looks very refreshing. Thanks Marie & Calvin. Hot here today 82 ,east of Pittsburgh. Will be 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
Looks delicious! My mother made lime jello salad every year for Christmas, and I loved it. She used cottage cheese instead of cream cheese and a little orange juice instead of 7Up. She did add the whipped cream (yum, yum) and the pineapple. Sometimes she added walnuts or pecans. It was always wonderful. I always made it when I cooked Christmas dinners, but I haven't done one of those in years. Some foods you just don't make for one person. Sending love and prayers for your busy week. Good luck with all the appointments!
Love vintage jello recipes, it’s time for jello desserts to make a comeback!! I enjoy your videos and my heart has been heavy thinking of Calvin’s journey ahead. Sending love to you both from Pennsylvania ♥️
I love learning new recipes but you just can’t beat the old tried and true ones. Love this jello salad especially and will be making it soon. Grandchildren need to know what’s really delicious. Thanks for the memories! Still praying for you both.
I will try this. The lime and pineapple sound refreshing. My mother made the most horrendous combinations of jello and vegetables. Special company molded salads. I would hide in the shed at supper time. Our church is praying for you both.
I love this recipe. I have never added the Sprite to mine. I make different variations though such as strawberry/banana jello with bananas and strawberries. Another is peach jello with a can of drained fruit cocktail. So, so good. You can also add chopped nuts to it.
Looks So Refreshing For A Hot Day And My Husband Would Love This He Loves Lime And Pineapple Thanks Marie You And Calvin Are In My Thoughts And Prayers God Bless You Both. 🙏😊
Really looks good Marie I'm going to try it. Say hey to Calvin and God bless you both and you both are in my prayers and your family to stay safe take care and God bless
If you omit the pineapple and freeze the mixture in a bowl, you'll have lime sherbert!......but I only used one pkg of Jello and one cup of 7up. Love your vids Marie!
Thank you Marie for reminding me of jello desserts. I haven't done any for so long. This looked very good and it reminded me of something that my mom would have made and enjoyed. Hoping you and Calvin are having a good week and feeling all of the prayers going out for both of you. Mrs.Steve
I never saw my Mother prepare any kind of food, but my beautiful Aunt Ruby made this yummy green Jello salad at Christmas time (I think her's had pecans in it also) --- what a sweet memory! I was thinking this might be a cool, refreshing recipe to make for Calvin when his throat may be sore during his treatments (like the delicious strawberry cake you made last week that he liked so much!). I really love the various photos you're showing at the beginning of the videos lately, Calvin. Have a good night, guys! ❤😍
Marie, you can’t get away with anything! Calvin not only runs instant replay but zooms in on you! :-) You were just trying to add a little extra fiber to the recipe right?
This lime jello dessert looks delicious!! I will have to try and make this for sure. You are always in my thoughts and prayers! I always look forward to seeing you both and I always love your video’s!!
Hello things are so delicious! I used to have a recipe similar but used cottage cheese. Hubby does not like cottage cheese so I never made it. Thank you for this recipe. It sounds delicious! 🍈🍈
Making this today and it sure looks like it's gonna be good. Sending prayers for you both. Stay strong and positive as that is so important. Big hugs to you both. :)
Marie, I have made this one vintage recipe before but with chopped pecans added to it and minus the 7-Up. I will have to try doing it your way. Seems like the soda pop would add a pizzazz to it. Thanks.
You two are so cute together. And I remember my mom and aunts made these salads and served them on a lettuce leaf. They used small diced celery, chopped walnuts or pecans, cranberries, all types of this salad using other flavored jellos too. As kids we used to really grin when we saw these mixed with whipped cream, and some cream cheese because we could eat it right alongside our dinner but it tasted like desserts! :-) usually at summertime picnics our very large extended families held at state parks. Such fun for us all. I miss those much freer, more carefree days. Bigger families then, too. NO one spoke of politics, that would’ve been gauche!, or of fears told to us by the government. We just talked normally of anything we wanted to and nobody wanted to talk of politics or diseases. We played games as did the adults, food was brought by everyone and it was all devoured, and those picnic days would be the days all of us look back on now as very cherished memories. Thanks for reminding me of those happy, sunny days. God bless you both.
Jello is gelatine and it's so good for you! I've been trying to remember every day to dissolve gelatine in hot water and drink because my nails are so brittle. It's also really good for the promotion of hair growth, Miss Marie. I love vintage desserts, especially from the 70's. Looks delicious. Have a great week y'all
Hello it's me again. I have a question. Do you have a recipe for orange icing? My husband want angel food cake with orange icing for his birthday. His mother used to make the icing when he was a child. He loved it. Of course she has passed. Any suggestions would be helpful. Y'all are sweet as pudding!!
Just got a quick update and pic of you both that Calvin had the feeding tube put in. Then it disappeared. How can I get it again? I only have youtube. BLESSINGS TO YOU BOTH. 🙏😇

This looks so good. I make a lime Jell-O salad with lime Jell-O, Cool Whip, cottage cheese, crushed pineapple, and chopped pecans. I always use the pineapple that is in heavy syrup.
Sounds great!

Ooh the peach jello sounds good but I'm not a fruit cocktail fan. Maybe pineapple.idk. I'll think of something.

Calvin as Marie, they also have sugar free pudding. I use them both at home.🌻
Yes, we are using them now

Marie, where do you get your mixing bowls?
Those big white bowls came from Walmart years ago.
I forgot to ask: What do you use the glass bottle for on your counter (it looks empty), or is this just another one of your decorations?
I just bought that a couple days ago. It's just for decoration
Do you add the pineapple with it's juice? I've never had this dessert, but it looks refreshing. Have a good night.
Angela, I drained the juice very good
@@SouthernCountryLiving Thanks

I remember this kind of jello. I never liked the taste or texture.
🙋♀️🌻🙏
Where can I find the receipe?
The recipe is listed in the description of the video, just below the title.
I see no difference in the sugar free and the regular
