- Kenny Loggins performing at Live Aid in front of 100,000 people in the John F. Kennedy Stadium, Philadelphia USA on the 13th July, 1985. The event was organised by Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine disaster. Broadcast across the world via one of the largest satellite link-ups of all time, the concerts were seen by around 40% of the global population.

80's artists could REALLY sing
AGREED
Any day buddy
But not dress obviously 🙈
They still can ruclips.net/video/c0HNZ-_1dac/видео.html
I think most established acts had emerged due to years of hard work and raw talent, rather than a pretty face and a sob story on reality TV. But there were 'instant' label created commercial acts too.
I'm glad people remember that Live Aid had many great artists, not just Queen.
True, but one can't blame Queen for outshining all! They were actually the best on that particular night in London. But that doesn't mean other were shit, I agree! 💯
Absolutely...
Considering one of the best live rock performances of all time was at this festival, out of all the thousands of music festivals over the last 35 years... I honestly don't blame people lol
Com certeza, o Dire Straits esteve lá tbm e foi ótimo.
queen is overrated now coz that damn movie
the drummer looks like he'll remember this more fondly than his wedding
yah, the drummer is on his own path
Yes
Yes
That's because he knew what was happening and that he was a part of it
Brilliant
Nothing can beat 80’s music. PERIOD.
Modern rock music can
They're trying their best to recreate that beat in modern day songs because they know the 80s vibe was IT!!!
70's music can
True 👍
I will agree with you
No pitch correction, no autotune just pure talent
Ok boomer
Exacto puro talento sin programas , todo era puro talento

I was watching We Are The World documentary on Netflix and was stunned hearing Kenny Loggins saaang his little part. So here I am watching his live performance because his voice is just beautiful.
What a fun song. The band did a cool job.
Me too 😆

Same!!! Love that documentary ! I was smiling the whole one and a half hour ❤️
SAME
The fashion in those days was incredible!
More chill(y) :D
SO SCARY ..... a lot of ventilation there
Yes it was very colourful.
The fashion & music in the 80s was quite cheesy.

Concert without cellphone or anything is always the best
Probably because they didn’t have cellphones back then?
MonDazeOW He’s saying it was better back then.
But we also can watch this on RUclips in good quality, crazy, isn't it ?

This is soooo fun and Nathan East's bassline is ridiculously good!
Kenny has everything. The looks, the style, the voice, and the guitar skills!! One of biggest artists to come from the 70’s and 80’s!! ❤️
😂
❤❤❤
He looks like he's wearing fancy pajamas here -- but I love the way it looks on him! Definitely an interesting style. And the loose fit was probably cooler on what was probably a hot July day.
*The sound of the 80's in 4 grooving minutes.*
Something I noticed with all Live Aid performances, everyone on stage is having a blast. Nobody is standing there without emotion like I notice in a lot of modern bands.
The marihuana of the 80's was way better!!
Watch Bob Dylan, he didn't want to be there he looked miserable
Gary Brady that’s cause bob dylan sucks. His biggest hits were the songs that better musicians decided to do a cover of.
I think most people would be miserable if they had to play the songs that are current.
Just like most people would be on top of the world if they had to perform music from the seventies and eighties.
Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys looked like he was on another planet in another galaxy. He didn't know or care where he was.
The times when live singing sounded just like the recording
And without auto tune or lip syncing.
@Thisis Fun he means it's nice to listen to someone who can sing and dosent need effect or auto tune to make them sound good live, all of the bands and artists during the live aid in 1985 played and sounded amazing energetic and authentic as close to the recording as you can get
It's called TALENT! Something that is sadly lacking now.
@Thisis Fun i don't understant how can you not understand that this has to be sarcasm.
What he said.
Nathan East on the bass! This man is everywhere and this is a good thing!
nice call!
yeah I've seen him on old Clapton live videos, from '88 I think
@@katiezee2 He toured with clapton from the 80s to present
Bass monster all the time.
Was thinking the same while watching! A true legend. Although to him play this song is a piece of cake!

can we just take a second to appreciate the bass player here. fantastic
Nathan East.
Nathan East one of if not the best players out there. He's done it all 🙌🏾
The positive energy from the crowd truly shows!
No riot.
No hate.
No blood.
ALL GOOD VIBES!!

Good to see Kenny dressed up in his finest pair of PJ's.
I love that suit I would wear that today if it was easy to find
Haha, I thought the same --- but they're *awesome* pajamas! 😅
Probably a lot cooler in the July heat, too
I can't believe the most legendary concert happened 35 years ago. WOW
I was there. That day was magical. It's been 37 years, but I remember it like it was yesterday.
Kenny!!!!!!! Provided leading soundtracks to all the iconic 80’s movies.
A true talent.
Footloose and Top Gun!!!!.

Hi! You’re right . A timeless song .
True 👍
never gets old???...that's like saying the first 4" cock that ever went inside you when you were 14 "never got old"???......hopefully you progressed....
Flawless vocal. Kenny Loggins knew his craft.
Still does!
That's Nathan East on bass. Not long after this, he signed on with Clapton and has been with him the better part of his career.
Another movie that shouldn't have been remade...
This song is a smash hit! I love it! But don't listen to it before going to bed or you'll be up all night.
nothing makes me more happy than those days. the 80s were magical
MTV, Live Aid, RUclips and the 80's, absolutely beyond Epic! Great memories rule!! There will never be a time like that again. 💥💥💥💥💥
People in the 80's were ALIVE. Then sadly over the years everybody became depressed and troubled. But in 1985 there was a party going on.
This is the most 80's looking clothes I have ever seen
It is looking good
yeah it is 😂😂👍👍
I didn’t grow up listening to this kind of music, but I find the 80’s music fun& entertaining.
Amazing artists, vibes, songs andddd their 80s outfits that day :)) great fashion fun to see this decades later :)
If your toe isn't tapping by the end of this song, you're dead.
Besides the music, that bold printed shirts, tees and oversized blazers with rolled up sleeves: Welcome in 1985! Love it
We all do
Today is July 13th 2021, Like if you still watching this 36 years after this Historical Moment
Kenny Loggins is the king of 80s movie soundtracks!
Agree 👍 absolutely love this song every time I hear it just well that's the days exercise done. ❤😊❤
I’m here after watching the Netflix documentary “We are the world”. I had no idea who this guy was and decided to search him because I really liked his voice
@Whiskerman .Ah just an amazing voice. Never can sit just have to dance round.🤫not great look. It's my happy song right now love it.❤❤😊👀🙊🙉🤗
Just saw him tonight in concert at the Tulalip Casino in Marysvile Washington. At 73 he still sounds great
Yep, he's still alive like Phil Collins, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Hall & Oates, Elton John, etc. but we lost a lot of great 80's singers like MJ, George Michael, Whitney Houston, David Bowie, Ben Orr and Ric Ocasek of the Cars, Natalie Cole, Donna Summer, Paul Young of Mike & the Mechanics, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Falco, Pete Burns of Dead or Alive, and more.

Great live performance
I half expected to see Kevin Bacon & the dance..The song was still fairly new, the Footloose movie had been out less than a year when Live Aid was done.. where has the time gone
Kate Quinn They should have let some dancers perform on stage.
Kevin and Lori on stage doing the dance..it didnt happen wish it had.
The time when music was good
so true
Terrible
When every song has its own story
I grow up listening to 80s music miss it so much. I feel young listening to it. I'm still in my 40s a bit older.
What time? Some say 60s, others say 70s... And so on. Each generation swears that its time had better songs
I remember watching this live in my apartment and tuning in on my stereo in Albuquerque. The bands and the music was amazing. I stayed home from work to watch this.
Jeez, after 37 years of watching this on TV back then I'm only just noticing now that's Nathan East on bass....and he still had hair, ha ha. That man has played with all the greats and still going strong, currently touring with Eric Clapton.
That bass by Nathan East, phenomenal.
I was tripping on his bass play the whole piece.

Been working so hard
I'm punching my card
Eight hours for what?
Oh, tell me what I got
I've got this feeling
That time's just holding me down
I'll hit the ceiling
Or else I'll tear up this town
Now I gotta cut loose
Footloose, kick off the Sunday shoes
Please, Louise, pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back, come on before we crack
Lose your blues, everybody cut footloose
You're playing so cool, obeying every rule
Deep way down in your heart
You're burning, yearning for the some-somebody to tell you
That life ain't passing you by
I'm trying to tell you
It will if you don't even try
You'll get by if you'd only cut loose
Footloose, kick off the Sunday shoes
Ooh-whee, Marie, shake it, shake it for me
Whoah, Milo come on, come on let's go
Lose your blues, everybody cut footloose
You got to turn me around
And put your feet on the ground
Gotta take the hold of all
I'm turning loose, footloose, kick off the Sunday shoes
Please, Louise, pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back, come on before we crack
Lose your blues, everybody cut footloose
Footloose, kick off the Sunday shoes
Please, Louise, pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back, come on before we crack
Lose your blues, everybody cut, everybody cut
Everybody cut, everybody cut
Everybody cut, everybody cut
Everybody, everybody cut footloose

Awesome song! Love the movie too! Even after I found out Kevin Bacon didnt dance in it. I still love him and this song and movie! I noticed Kennys voice is as high here as in the video from the movie. Interesting.
The original style of singing the songs, electronica, electrifying, with mellow rock types, manageable and good to hear, refreshing always every day, keeps blurred days away. Men and women are well clothed as well. There is an artist, a designer of the clothes as well as a craftsman that does everything, they don't get forgotten nor neglected.
