He didn't loose his ear pieces, he removed them as they didn't work properly. And yet he sang perfectly even without them as Morten is one of the best singers in the world :)
it seemed to be that he removed because it was too loud, since in the very beginning of the song, right when he starts to sing, he gave a sign to the backstage kinda making a "turn it down" move...
@@adaobas I thought it kind of broke because you could hear him silently testing it (with 'ba ba') during the instrumental and fiddling around with the earpiece and device attached to his waist. When he started singing again, he was slightly out of pitch and then removed the earpiece to have at least some kind of "own monitoring" with the finger in the ear.
I was 10 when this song came out...always been one of my favorites! And no he never lost that great voice eh?! What a crowd there!!! There are three members of a-ha. The original band is still together. They have a back-up band, but Morten Harket is the singer, Magne Furuholmen is the keyboardist and he plays several instruments, and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy is the guitarist. It's always been those three. They've been together since around 1983. From Norway.

[Verse 1] We're talking away I don't know what I'm to say I'll say it anyway Today's another day to find you Shying away I'll be coming for your love, okay? I mean, I love a stage show. Look at Pink Floyd/David Gilmour with the circle screen and the laser shows. Watch the Pompeii version of Run Like Hell and be blown away by both the music and the light show. I don't think putting on a stage show will full theater makes you any less talented. Iron Maiden bring out the pyrotechnics, the antics, the bloody works, they even have LITERAL FLAMETHROWERS just for Flight of Icarus. Concerts aren't just about performing the music. Theatrics go hand and hand with that. Even The Who, Rolling Stones, any of the all time greats all do or have done theatrics at some point. It's part and parcel. Just watching a band performing the music with nothing else going on would be a bit boring, regardless of how good the music is.
I agree 💚🤍❤️

I'm not sure how I feel about this, it is so good. I see the people so calm and happy. The music is so great, I feel like I'm watching a dying breed of wonderful music, and it makes me happy and sad all at the same time.

I just love this band and sing so much. When it came out, the video was considered so futuristic and cool and still stands the test of time. The composition is just perfect from beginning to end. Great job by the band and singer 😍😍😍
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Magistral, sin autotune, es por esto y más que la música de los 80's es y seguirá siendo la mejor.
Quien más la sigue escuchando en 2024 🇸🇻🖐️

I hear this song when i am in highschool and till now,i am 58 years old
@@Mixcafe-lz9zc i am from indonesia
This is one of the best bands of the 80s!! The video to this song was way ahead of it's time and is very impressive even by today's standards!!
Cierto, el video era genial. Y ellos siguen siendo excelentes👌
Hitting those notes with your earpiece falling out is supernatural.
Why? Sorry I'm completely clueless about this kinda stuff
@@potatoghost6851 because singers normally wear a earpiece to hear what they are singing. With all the noise from the drummers and the crowds it can be difficult to sign.
@@willyrodriguez10 I see, thx for the info!
Mad props!
No autotone, just pure talent 💯
Its really 🎵🎹🎤 music . in present .
Remember when i tried when i was younger and my voice fucking cracked everytime lmao 😂😂
Notice how he plugs one ear 👂 while singing. It helps you hear you’re true notes that you are singing if that makes any sense!😂
Hhv
Yeah👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Will always be the best voice I’ve ever heard since I was 13. Now I’m 54, nothing I doubt will ever surpass.
No one gonna talk about how near the end he lost his ear piece and couldnt hear himself sing- And yet he still did it perfectly???!??
He didn't loose his ear pieces, he removed them as they didn't work properly. And yet he sang perfectly even without them as Morten is one of the best singers in the world :)
Olga K oh lol, it was hard to tell cause it kept switching povs, but i'm also not very observant, but yeah, he still sang perfectly ❤️
it seemed to be that he removed because it was too loud, since in the very beginning of the song, right when he starts to sing, he gave a sign to the backstage kinda making a "turn it down" move...
Wow....impressive.....
Whoever put this band together to play this was a genius (i think at least three are original members)! What talent! Great harmonies too! Love live music! Makes you respect the band even more when they are that good live. I think I've watched this video about 30 times now in a week. Doesn't get old and the girls are nice to look at too! lol
From Norway.
just another T&A one to me
Would have to put this in “The Catchiest Songs of All Time” list.
ruclips.net/video/eFsayBSTuWE/видео.html. working as a slave, needless to say its not black and white
You are right!!
Agree. I'd add. A few other 80s hits to that list too
Less Is More,
“Walking on Sunshine” was catchy for a while, then tiresome, then eventually made you want punch someone or a kick a dog 🥴
This is one of those songs that can turn my day 180° in the best way. Just makes me smile thinking of the 80’s. He’s fantastic. The slowed down live version is amazing too.
Singer still has the chops!!! 20 years after the song topped the charts...impressive

I honestly think he sounds better here than he ever did during their early days. His voice matured so well its unbelievable!

Also missing everyone holding their smartphones in the air. 😊
I Love you Morten... Brooklyn ❤
Dam i can't believe he can still hit those notes.
Well, this was 15 years ago. Not sure he can hit them today. He's still an excellent vocalist in 2020, though.
@@berganssekk he can still hit well watch his 2020 concert in Dubai

I must say give also the drummer a credit for doing a great job 👍

This song is universally loved by the world.
The older the song becomes, the more I see how valuable it is.
Great way to put it 👍
[Verse 1]
We're talking away
I don't know what I'm to say
I'll say it anyway
Today's another day to find you
Shying away
I'll be coming for your love, okay?
[Chorus]
Take on me (Take on me)
Take me on (Take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two
[Verse 2]
So needless to say
I'm odds and ends
But I'll be stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is okay
Say after me
It's no better to be safe than sorry
[Chorus]
Take on me (Take on me)
Take me on (Take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two
He’s having live feedback issues. People don’t realise how loud it is when your on stage. It’s hard to hear yourself sometimes. Great job and always the professional.
That’s what his ear pieces are for
@@brandondixon4023 and those earpieces are not working
We all know what it is to be young when it has left us far behind. The youth is wasted on the young, I've heard many a time. However life is worth living , even if we can't be forever young.
He is clearly having issues with his ear monitor. Incredible performance.
I'm amazed that he still has that high note in him. Now that's music.
Yes, he still has, I mean - now, 15 years later:-)
