The pacing of this movie is amazing. The part where he says “unless you know someone who plays guitar” and then instantly cuts to him playing is amazing, I feel like other movies would hold on that shot for like 2 seconds and then cut to him playing guitar, but this really give the sense of urgency Marty is under.
Very true, noticed that too! Media still does that nowadays but somehow a movie from 1985 still hit that transition so well.
Exactlyyyy!!!!
this movie is timeless! no pun intended...

Ain't got time for all that, my boy not trying to disappear 😂😂
I love how Marty has his whole life on the line but can't resist his passion of shredding on a guitar.
If you’re gonna go out go out on a high note.
Lol. Right? Despite the gravity of the mission he’s on, he’s still a teenage boy
I love that there’s not really a plot reason for Johnny B Goode, it’s just a victory lap. Movies don’t do that much anymore I feel.
They usually do in the form of dance parties at the end, which are a hit or miss.
@@TDArulesclub4 Or saving the world from AI attack cars then having a family BBQ at the end.
I like to think of it as character development. In the beginning Marty is afraid of rejection and that he'll never have a chance to play his music. Over the course of the film, he has to help George with his own fear of it. By helping George, he, in turn, is learning to deal with his own. Getting on stage gives him this opportunity, and by playing this song, Marty finally opens up and is able to express himself without worrying what people will think of him.
Johnny B Goode was released in 1955 it would be a great song to play at The Enchantment Under The Sea Dance. Marty Mcfly upset the time and space continuum he could have disappeared from existence along with his siblings forever, right? ⏰️ 😂
@@ThePrinceHasArrivedYup, that's the point of the scene. The movie is full of those foreshadowing/problems that get resolved at the end.

Exactly. Even the plot holes and inconsistencies are part of the perfection. I would not change a thing
Imagine being the one who got your parents together, and they are happy together and they have an amazing life together. I would freaking cry.
Fun music fact:
For the people who keep asking how a band could possibly know the back-up instrumentals to a song no one has ever heard before, Marty says to them right before he starts "its a blues riff in B and watch me for the changes". The "blues riff" is a common progression of chords used in blues and jazz songs throughout that particular era that any band would know especially in the 50's, and to basically follow his lead. Johnny B Goode is actually a pretty simple song to play along to if you know the key and the blues riff.
Exactly. Everyone of the band members knows how to solo in I-IV-V blues progression. It's the backbone of blues progressions and had been used for decades. It's not rocket science to them
I actually had to watch closely and he is actually playing in B. The original recording is in B flat. Yes, I'm that sad and geeky.
My father got so sick and tired of playing Johnny B Good..
And what the sax vibing along afterwards? Also blues? And the guitar distortion?
@@francescganau7679it’s just a movie

How do you expect anyone to recall what someone looks like after all that time?
@@jimmiller6704 And take into account that it'll take more years until Marty grows up to look like him at the dance - by then, they have probably forgotten how he looked.
And never questioned the face of Marty’s brother, his face does not look like any of his parents
This scene is so much better when you realise Marty is just playing Johhny B. Goode for fun, since his parents already kissed at that point.
And that his entire life depended on him being on time at the Courthouse Square but still couldn't resist to play one more lol
This film really captured what it might “feel” like to be in the 1950s. Amazing. Obsessed with that era not sure bout y’all.

Something interesting is that George and Marty both got over their fears of rejection in this scene. It’s so crazy to know that Michael was showing early signs of Parkinson’s during the Johnny B. Goode scene. They had to redo the scene when he has the guitar over his shoulders cuz he kept twitching. He kept brushing it off when it was noticeable and kept it secret for so long. As someone who has Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy and family history of Parkinson’s, he really doesn’t let the disease define him and is a great advocate for others dealing with the disease. My favorite part will always be the saxophonist immediately getting down with the opening riff😂
One of classic Movies of all time. "2024". ❤❤❤
*"I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet but your kids are gonna love it"*
This is what makes this one of the best scenes in the back to the future franchise.
450 likes not a single comment? DAMN
nah, this is one of the best scenes in movie history
@@takubo YES absolutely agree.
Yeah hello Universal?! DONT REMAKE THIS. EVER.
iPath23 thank you
They should’ve remade part 2 in 2015
I'm pretty sure Robert Zemeckis stated there will never be another Back to the Future movie in his lifetime, including sequels and reboots/remakes.
Don't give them ideas !
NEVER!!!!
I’m 35 years old now. I grow up with this movie from 7 years old. I’m so happy to hear this song and miss my good old my family ages.
Nice song 👍 Back to the Future is my favorite movie in my childhood, greetings from Russia
Respect to the cousin for letting him know of the new sound

'Chuck Berry' was the singer of Johnny B Goode
If I was his dad id really be rethinking my entire life when my son is grown and looks EXACTLY like the guy back in highschool..
Probably.
I AM NOT TAKING IT EASY ON HIM
I'd assume that Loraine had an affair with Marty at some point that resulted in his conception. Though there is a fan theory that George himself had figured it out that Marty had indeed time traveled and just kept it to himself.
That's what I always thought!
E-MAN Why would George best Marty though? I never understood that
I remember this from back in the day. Every time I see a clip, I'm stunned by how beautiful she is.
How did they know this was my favorite part of the movie...❤❤❤❤❤
I love how Marvin looks at the guitar astounded after Marty gives it back like "damn, I didn't know you could do that!"
It's more like "darn, I didn't know the guitar could do this at all" or "damn, the guitar is still the whole"
I think it was just cause Marty played the song differently than original like uhh that’s not right but dang it does sound good
Ik I’m months late
@@user-iq2sc7us8r that’s exactly what the first guy meant
I always thought he was inspecting it for damage.
