Not gonna lie, that was one of the most informative and interesting Wired videos I've watched...

I really miss Gav explaining something scientifically. Some of their old videos used to explain how things works in slow-mo. Which maybe then inspiring other channels to do the same
But he sometimes talks about stuff he doesn't know alot about though. He was wrong about lightning moving at the speed of light and wasn't very clear in explaining why it's hard to film.

@@Zuurkool1 Well I mean.....A) which part of the lightning? And B) the main arc is a lot closer to the speed of light than it is to a drunken wasp.....
They only get together 3 times a year?!? I would’ve NEVER guessed they did so much shooting like that. Wow!! I thought they were like best friends living real close lol. I can’t imagine the logistics that go into all of this.
Gav moved to the states a few years ago(I believe essentially to be closer to the slowmo camera/filming company he worked for, but I could be wrong about that). Back when they filmed in an English back garden they lived relatively close. But Dan was (possibly still is) in the Army (IDK if hes a fusilier, or whatnot. But hes a proper soldier of the Royal Armed Forces). So hes kind of anchored to remaining in the UK for now.....

jacki tvi yeah for sure. They used to post kinda far apart and they'd always get millions of views. Now that they upload frequently people start to notice them instead of of hey I remember those guys let me watch their new video
I love how open and honest they were in this they didn't hold back for the fans
I am deeply disappointed by the fact, that this video was not done entirely in slow motion.

I love how down to earth and fun loving they are whilst being so knowledgeable and professional at the same time. I always enjoy hearing them talk to each other. And their slo-mo videos are a gift to this world. I can never get enough of them. The things they come up with, lol, so great.

Wow, Gavin is actually a super cool and modest person. I have been watching the slo-mo guys and roosterteeth for 8 years and i NEVER knew that he worked on movies before coming to the United States. Him and Dan both seem like super nice guys and it's honestly just really cool hearing them have a conversation without the need to be funny or anything.
(also i am even happier that i share names with Gavin, so theres that random thing i felt like should be shared)

Holy crap, I didn't know Gav worked on Sherlock Holmes 2...that movie was awesome. I know I heard recently...I think it was an interview with Jude Law, that Sherlock Holmes 3 is a go...would be great if they get Gav for that one too. Also, Inception is one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time...so good on him!

Dan puts his life at risk for the science, he is a true hero for the slo mo cause. They are one of my favorite channels that I’ve watched since they were in england, about six years
I’d love to see these guys colab with the backyard scientist for a series. He does these rocket knife vids and vids with like alkali metal bullets. Would love to see that knife or those bullets hitting ballistics gel or a watermelon in slow mo

I actually really love listening to Gav talk about tech and all that. He knows a lot about it and explains it very well.

I love them a lot and it is great getting to see Gav show off his science smarts! He's super smart and it constantly impresses me the way that he thinks about the world. and dan makes me smile. :)
Gav is really impressively knowledgable on this whole subject. I understand about 1 out of every 4 words he says, and it's so fun to listen to him talk about it

These guys are incredible
A tip for taking pictures of lightnings if you don't have a half-million-slow-mo-camera: If you can manually change the settings of your camera then put it on a tripod. Adjust the ISO and f-stop so you can take a decent picture with 20 second exposure time. Then just click again and again and again. If you're lucky a lightning will strike during one of those exposures, giving you some incredible details! I was lucky a few times, love these pictures!
