      Like Hot Fuzz(one of my favorite movie) Dredd, Sherlock, I was really looking forward for him to analyze his past works.

      @@trod146 Am autistic, can confirm. Just spent ages awkwardly mumbling goodbyes, am now excitedly analysing film scenes with a friend.
      Diagnosing celebs is a risky and irresponsible game but also I wouldn't be suuuuper surprised.

      Its baffling that people sometimes believe the stuff gavin says arent on purpose. The guy plays the idiot and mumbles words as part of his persona for pure entertainment. The man is very smart in humor and content creation.

      Gavin has worked in movies shooting slow motion professionally. and Dan was in the UK army- hes trained in firearms. So it makes sense they'd have a lot of interesting things to say.

      I mean the celebrities "make the movies" but they don't literally make movies. Not sure why you'd expect many of them to know that much about what goes on beyond acting. Generally speaking they don't run cameras, direct, edit, animate, compose, or write. Their job is to think about nailing their scenes and be consistent and they aren't required to know anything beyond that.

      I always thought that too, they made him so much faster in the film than the comics which is cool for the sequence but then for the plot he could basically solve any problem so they had to write him out one scene later.

      @@theod9548 No way. Neo dodging bullets is one of the most iconic scenes in cinema. You got the knife in the shower, Jack Nicholson chopping down a door, neo dodging bullets.. I would argue the combat training sequence is cooler and more well done, but dodging bullets is the small climax of the movie right when Neo is starting to figure out he's truly the One.

    i love how Dan mentioned an alien watching inception and not understanding it. Dude i had to watch that movie 2 or 3 times before i actually really understood everything that was going on. It was actually kinda cool going back and watching a scene again then suddenly the light bulb goes on like "okay now i get this"

    how did you not talk about Dredd? The falling of a skyscraper with slow mo drug scene is one of the most iconic scenes!

    hearing the matrix score gives me the ASMR. one slow mo scene that always stuck out to me was the trip wire mine explosion in Behind Enemy Lines. watching the guy being slowly lifted off his feet followed by the wave of shimmering air and then the rubble. really well done.

    I was hoping he was going to bring up how good the last clip looked. It's such a great thing to know that all the old films still preserved well can be scanned and viewed at ultra resolutions and they won't lack resolution for several standards in the future.

    I like how they explain there’s a difference between what looks like an explosion and a detonation. Detonations by the time you see them have already been done for quite a while. It takes a LONG time for things to start moving/falling in detonation

    I heard somewhere, that in the old episodes of baywatch, they used the slow mo scenes to makes the episodes longer, as they didn't have the budget to shot more footage.

    Surprised they didn't mention that in the Inception Bus scene, the snow falls at normal speed while the Bus falls in slow-mo. Added to the effect.
