Gavin is actually very intelligent. But he sounds even more intelligent when he talks about his filming equipment vs when everyone in achievement hunter is screaming at him because.. he threw a grenade at a wall and it bounced back toward the group LOL Love him.

I really like Slo Mo Guys Gavin, he acts normal, and he knows what he is doing. AH Gavin is ADHD and never puts effort into anything besides screwing up. I know that AH caters to younger audiences, but it's really annoying and I cant imagine it's creatively fulfilling. I know its not an option but I'd love to see Gavin and Dan do Slow Mo Guys fulltime.

Jonathan, Gavin is not the CD of RoosterTeeth anymore.
And Ac3, you clearly never saw Gavin in any of the podcasts before, he's the same as in slo mo guy videos and in AH videos. Also in AH Gavin along with Geoff spent 20+ hours on a simple prank on Jack before, and he used to edit+make achievement guides on the early days of AH, so I'm pretty sure he put a lot of effort in his job. Also in Achievement Hunter he focuses on making entertaining content, so he isn't purposely being dumb or anything like that, he purposely tries to do difficult but cool things as he knows he'll either succeed and look cool or fail spectacularly. Please tell me what's the difference in his personality between Gavin in AH, SMG and the podcasts he's in, because I don't see any difference.

This was awesome. Dan lost money, though I've always found that people who are unlucky in those respects are lucky in others, and I'd like to think that Dans luck contributed greatly to his not being shot during his tours of duty.

hazza_blade It may be 50% each time but that doesn't mean it's not a low percentage before it starts out. If I toss a coin 10 times there's not a 50%chance I get only heads. All that being mutually exclusive means is that if I get 9 heads in a row I'm still 50% likely to get a head.
A bet on red or black in roulette isn't 50/50 anyway because the wheel also includes the green 0 pocket and sometimes a 00 pocket. Thats why roullete table odds are always in favor of the house.

This is my favorite slow mo video of all time. About halfway through all the way to the end it's a sitcom. I showed it to several friends on my television and they thought it was a sitcom. It's hilarious. The point when they're in the car heading back to town all the way to the very end it's brilliant.
I wonder if the views on this video alone will be enough to cover their gambling losses...
If monetized properly, videos make a lot more than $1/1000 views.

I've actually heard that figure a lot. It's based on averages from ad revenue. Some ads appeal to a smaller audience but pay more per view/click, and some ads appeal to a broader audience and pay less per view/click. So when you say RUclipsrs make around a dollar for every 1000 views, that's purely ad revenue for the average RUclipsr who doesn't know much about marketing.
But then you get into the corporations who spend more time picking the ads than they do creating the content, they probably get less views, but make considerably more per view. They also merchandise and get sponsorships etc etc...
Basically what I'm saying is, if you averaged revenue for a channel, you would find that the number doesn't hold up too well. Take PewDiePie's channel as a for instance. The guy has something like 13 billion views. Divide that by 1000 and you get 13 million. He's made an estimated 124 million dollars (coed.com/2016/04/04/pewdiepie-net-worth-how-much-is-pewdiepie-worth-money-youtube-star-felix-arvid-ulf-kjellberg/) and you'll find he's worth around 60 million if you do some googling. We're starting to see that the numbers might not hold. So when RUclipsrs create a video, they don't think about it as "this video is going to make me ___ dollars, so I need to make ___ videos to survive." They unfortunately have to do quite a bit more math.
Sorry that was really drawn out. Anyway, those are my thoughts on it. Also, you can bet your behind that EA poured some bonuses in as well, and didn't just pay the airfare haha. There was some serious equipment there to be making $86 dollars a piece, that was probably the cost of insurance for one of the cameras.

5:11 Whoa! Check out the screen in car's dash! I'm guessing it's something to do with the screens frame rate and the cameras frame rate?
I'm wondering if Gavin edited it so that the name of the song and the artist didn't show up in the video?
This is typically done to save power and energy, the screen flashes quick enough so we can't tell. Because it's not constantly displaying it saves power. The same is done for scoreboards and all that.
UltraPrimal I thought it was because the camera just isn't good at capturing that sort of light which is why it strobes, cameras do this if you have a particular light bulb in your house as well
Nope the, it is like how TheLetterSee said, different frame rates(the screen refresh rate and the camera's recording speed). With light bulbs it is the same thing the strobe effect is caused by how quickly the current alternates compared to the camera. The actual light has nothing to do with it since it is pretty much entirely in the visible spectrum.
It's because of the difference between 50hz and 60hz in Great Britain and America.
