    It's super hard to pull the cover off the right way, and everyone else skips through that part. Thanks so much for uploading the full video!

      Much easier than upgrading a Lenovo Flex, those are terrors to work on. My mom's HSSD died and to access it you had to take out the keyboard remove screws there then the dvd drive before removing the rest. We put it back together and low and behold when we took the keyboard of the ribbon cable clip broke off without any tugging.

    If y’all are here taking apart your yoga, do your self a favor and replace the WiFi card now. Even if it works, the Realtek ones are junk and you don’t wanna keep taking it apart.

      I just got the YOGA 730 and I have to say the WiFi cards are indeed total garbage. I literally have to run the windows diagnostic and reset the adapter at least 10 times a day and I've had the machine for a week. Thanks for confirming my suspicion. I'm going to upgrade the RAM and now WiFi card unless I can manage to get Best Buy to do it as I'm so close to the purchase date its not even funny.

      My other concern was Time Warner / Brighthouse / Spectrum service provider as they are also garbage.

      @LifeofAedan 5 лет назад +1

      panx911 I thought it was my isp as well but I built a whole custom enterprise grade setup so after going through all that I concluded it was my yoga. I replaced the WiFi card with one from my old chrome book which was faster and more reliable. Definitely do it if you are taking it apart.

      @@LifeofAedan Update.....I found some additional power settings buried in windows. I was in screens within windows I had never seen before and although it seemed as though it should be the same options for power you adjust going into the properties through device manager it was different and looked like a windows setting that most likely would override those of the actual card or at least still affect it still being enabled. I will try and navigate there again and post an update. Since doing this I have not had my card flake out. I also haven't used it long today to thoroughly test this settings change but so far so good.....

    • @panx911

      Solution Part 2 : I think there is still another screen I cant find but I did also change this in another area I had never made adjustments and doesn't have to do with the cards sleep settings but power management instead. (connected but different)
      Navigate here : Control Panel>>Hardware&Sound>>Power Options>>Edit Plan Settings >> in blue text you'll see "change advanced power setting" click that -- go to wireless adapter settings -- expand the menu tree. You'll see two listings for "on battery" and "plugged in" set those to max performance as I believe that tells it to bypass any power savings features.
      There may be one more change I made but I know I changed the above today and I am still not having the disconnect issue at present. SO,Make the changes here AND in the actual device properties for a more complete solution with WiFI card....I don't think I'll ever find that other setting. I slept and it's literally not in my cache, lol :(

    Thanks for this video.Helped me to take out that cover safely just to view what it actually looks in a person in real. After I took the back cover off, i saw that the two cooling fans were covered in dirt. I was wondering on how to clean those dirt?!

    I bet if you left the sound of you actually disassembling this laptop it would be less annoying than listening a generic EDM beat... Just a helpful critique.

    Im a noob trying to updgrade my RAM.
    Is the ram slot the one on the left side where you pulled off the silver cover?
    And any ram card for laptop will work?

    • @umangkasaju1217
      @umangkasaju1217 5 лет назад +1

      No! You can't upgrade the ram in this model later after purchasing because it is soldered into the motherboard.You can upgrade the sdd though. You better go for 16 gb ram instead of planning to upgrade it later.

      You are pathetic. It’s called skip ahead

    •  5 лет назад +4

      He did not skip it or speed it up because this laptop has a hard to remove cover. It may help some people when they can watch the full process. And I mean, that is the only reason why such a video exist. To skip it or speed it up would kill the purpose of this video.

    • @bartiz12
      @bartiz12 4 года назад

      I was looking for such process in detail as if to see if strong force is required to get the cover off. The pacing has a purpose and the video is definitely not for you. Writing a comment like this makes you pathetic and disrespectful of someone's work.
