Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed how-to video. I have a similar laptop that had a left hinge popped out and the screen smashed due to the hinge coming off.
I followed your video every step carefully from disassembling to ordering parts on eBay and putting it together. I tested the screen and everything works great except for one big problem. The laptop won't turn on if I unplug it. I left it charging for a day, thinking the battery is bad but after charging so many hours the battery shows 67%.
The laptop didn't have a battery problem before. I used anti-static wrist wrap all the time.
Anyone else has the same issues? what do you think is the problem? thanks for the help.
Thanks for this video. I fixed my screen by myself. I didn't get adhesive with the replacement screen from ebay and assembled it without it, it still works well.

I didn't need to replace the monitor, but I had to replace the LCD 30-pin cable because the monitor was glitching very badly making the touchscreen unresponsive and unreadable. I would have never had known about the WHITE ADHESIVE had I not seen your video. THANK YOU!!!
hey! so you just replaced the connector to fix the black glitching screen? Mine becomes unusable because the screen glitches out and I have found no other solutions :/

on the 15 inch, the tabs for the adhesive release are about 5mm wide, just to the _inside_ of each hinge, underneath the long bezel cover.
should i use only original adhesive tape for this particular item or i just can use some other one? It s a pain in the ass deliver it from USA to Urkaine now

I have a Lenovo Flex 5-1570 (80XB) and the the touch screen stopped working however, the digital pen still works with the screen. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the HID-Complaint Touch Screen drivers to fix the issue but still it does not work. This is the 3rd or 4th time that the touch screen has stopped working with this laptop but the previous times i was still under a warranty and i was able to send it out and they where able to fix the issue in less then a day. Now I am no longer in a warranty and I'm looking to fix this issue. Since the digital pen still works with the screen but the touch input does not. Is the digitizer the issue or another faulty component?
i have a similar 730 15ikb, and the touch stopped working on it.
the lcd screen is till perfectly fine and the bizzare thing is that an active pen stylus still works perfectly, just the touch doesnt work anymore.
i thought it might have something to do with the touch drivers, but i have done everything possible and it doesnt work.
have you ever had any issue like this? i really dont want to spend 100 plus euro in it, because the screen itself still works, just the touch doesnt work

Can you use a heat gun instead of pulling the white tape out? Or do you recommend pulling the tape out?
