I promised I would let you know how it went. I'm up and running. I labeled every group of screws and took plenty of pics so I could perfectly match the original assembly. I didnt have a single issue with this project. Excellent video. Noone with even cursory electronics skills should hesitate to do this by following your instruction. Thank you. Thank you for the detailed step-by-step explanation. Many of the "laptop pro" channels just had someone experienced disassembling with background music and no details. A noob like me really appreciates the extra info, I learned a lot and felt confident enough to tackle my 720 RAM upgrade. Subscribed :)

Thank you for the tips on removing the back cover. I’m always hesitant on which direction to pull a cover off. I do have to say that it was kinda painful to watch you sliding the laptop around without a cloth to protect the laptop from scratches. Great in depth video though!
It's OK, the surface is a soft plastic. Not really scratchy as it sounds.

Wonderfully filmed and narrated. Totally instructive. I came looking because my Yoga 730' 15 inch's touch screen just stopped working about two months ago (Oct. 2020), some say it was because of a Windows 10 upgrade, but I have been able to find consensus on the cause. However, I've found scores of owners who are at their wits' ends having tried to follow published advice to no avail. I am trying to figure out if my touch screen is broken or if mine is a software issue. (Some folks have said a too-thin and fragile wire broke.) Anyway, have you done a video on touchscreens that I might follow?
I don't own these laptops, so if I don't have one already, I won't have one coming until a customer needs one replaced. The entire screen and touchscreen are one piece. I might have some yoga screen replacement videos, but not the same model.
Great video! I have two sticks of GSkills Ripjaws RAM. I saw you removed the cover for the RAM - can you install two sticks of RAM under the cover or did you find another stick of RAM somewhere else during disassembly? Thank you!

Only if you turn one into an external hard drive. It goes without saying. There's nowhere to connect it inside as far as I can see.
Do you know of any ways to upgrade the battery capacity for this laptop? And thanks for the great tutorial!
Not really upgrade, but you can replace the battery with a new one.

Do you happen to know if it's possible to entirely replace the touch screen? I dropped mine recently and it cracked like a spiderweb straight across. It's functional, but damaged. I also noted that it might involve adhesive but wasn't sure.

It's likely loose under the screen if it's a loose connection. Is it showing in the device manager?

Removing the charge port requires complete disassembly. You'll want to watch and follow the video the entire way through.

How do I get to the keyboard. Some keys aren't working. Do I need to replace the whole keyboard?
Have to replace the whole keyboard unless it's just crumbs preventing you from pressing the keys down all the way.

Bro I watched the video for the keyboard replacement and you didn't even take out the keyboard come on :P
Lol the keyboard is the entire palmrest assembly. I have other models where I remove the keyboard, but it's a huge pain in the ass with all the melted plastic and then you'll need a plastic 3d printer pen to put new plastic. If you want I can send you a video for a similar one.
