I am 100% with you on avoiding trailers! I remember when I first saw the original X-men films. I had seen ZERO footage of it before hand and had no idea who was it! So, when my brother brought over the DVD and I just started watching it I instantly I fell in love with it! Every actor was perfect and I was in Heaven the entire time! But I think I was only like that because I wasn't able to judge the movie before I had even seen it. Now, when I see a trailer I'm usually like.. "meh" or "not him/her". So, I need to avoid them at all costs. I feel I get super judgey with trailers and sneak peeks. I understand the concept and need for trailers, mostly to hype up a film by using PR tactics, but I really would rather avoid them for my own personal sanity lol.
I only watch a trailer for a movie I wasnt planning on watching but am like hmm whats this. If I know Im going to watch it I avoid trailers for the same reason.

i love watching the credits. it’s nice to just bring yourself back to the cinema because if a film is really good, it transports you into it’s universe and you forget where you are. it’s a good way to ground yourself and process what you’ve just watched.

KickThePj would recommend :3 v immersive esp in the cinema. its got less of the obscure 80s geek culture references tho, and more mainstream and cheesy in places. I knew it wouldn’t stay faithful to the book exactly at all, to appeal to the greater masses, and I guess if u don’t expect that in the first place and think of them as 2 different things, it is good. The sfx alone would be 5 djdjdh or maybe I am just easy to impress

You are the kind of customer that those of us who work at the cinema want to toss out of the theater at the end of a movie, but we're forced to smile at you awkwardly as we hold our cleaning supplies at bay waiting to be able to flip on the lights and clean the room in the already extremely short amount of time we have between showings. I have never had any problems with you before, Sir PJ, but I think this insight into the type of person you really are has swayed my opinion of you drastically.... just know, you can always look up the cast and direction team in the lobby, and make our lives much much much less stressful. Happy movie going :)

"Us" for me got a 5/5 because i saw it 2 days ago and a rat ran out on the platform in front of the screen and stopped dead centre, looking around for like 5 seconds. It just made the experience brilliant.
I've yet to go see US again, but I actually want to now. I read about it when I got home and I was thinking it's definitely a film you'll want to see multiple times to catch all the little secrets.
@@KickThePj Yeah, it definitely seems like a multiple watch piece, given how much was going on in certain scenes and how deep it got.
One thing that I love is how when Peej says how we're all pretty chill and laid back, it's one of the few times where a RUclipsr is actually right about their fandom being chill

Pj I like watching the credits and always have, even before there was end of credit scenes expected. I'm glad that you also watch them
As a Communication major, people expect me to be vocal about my thoughts on the latest films, but I only ever share my thoughts when my close friends ask for them (or when I'm required to turn in a review for class). This is mostly because I tend to be either fascinated or frustrated by the passionate reviews I see online. I do like observing the interactions, though.
Oh, and I'm not very good at giving ratings because-as much as I love numbers-I'm more comfortable describing using words. As for the end credits, yes, it's important to acknowledge everyone that contributed to or supported the production of the film one way or another! :)

i think a crucial part of the way you consume media is whether you are a plot person or a character person. personally when i’m consuming media, whether that be books or tv or films, i care more about character development and interpersonal relationships. that’s not to say i completely disregard plot, but it is less important to me. when you’re talking about media it’s important to consider which type of person it more caters for, and then to decide whether it’s bad or just doesn’t have your preferred focus. but regardless of my rant, this was a really good video!

The watching the trailer bit is so true though. We gotta remember that not all scenes make it into the final cut of the movie.
Also feel like it needs to be said that the opposite of "if someone hates something you like it's not a personal attack" is true too. If someone likes something you hate, it doesn't mean they are dumb or have bad taste and it definitely doesn't give you permission to ridicule them over their interests.
I wish I could sit through the end credits but I would have missed the bus. I knew there was no end credit scene but I would have like to stay there and watch the credit damn it

Trailers ruin movies for me so often! One of the how to train your dragon 2 trailers gave away the biggest plot twist of the movie and it was so upsetting!

Personally I love Haunting of Hill House. It just resonated with me and it exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be just another jumpscare horror series. But it was more of a deep dive into the human pshyce. And I loved it ;)
