    PJ, the bottom of the pencil case can be pushed inward so it stands up on the table. It’s supposed to be a portable standup pencil case.

    So some mod-rock tips:
    If you want a smoother texture, use a paintbrush and a bit of water and brush it over the strips that have been applied. The extra powder on the mod rock will spread to the holes.
    If you want to make a mask, or put it on a hand or something, cover the face/ hand with petroleum jelly. Once it dries it will pop right off.

    some tips about working with modroc: when you're applying it, smooth each section over until the plaster covers the mesh part (so that you can't see the holes anymore); also for a smoother finish add a layer of actual plaster over top, let dry, and sand it smooth

    Hey, little tip when using modroc, once you've wet in and are putting it on the thing you are covering try to get rid of all the squares of plaster. This makes the final product smoother and without the patchy holey look

    For future plaster bandage crafts you could use foil for more complex shapes and outer layer, some wire for carcass and paper as filler where needed. Also you could use a bit warmer water and keep the plaster bandage for a minute or so (but not too long) so you could easily fill in the gaps of plaster. Anyways, it's a true cutsie!

  • @tealsalm0n

    just a tip for modroc- after wetting and applying the bandages, you can wet your fingers and smooth over the surface of the shape to avoid that holey sort of look when you’re finished

  • @peacewoman1234
    @peacewoman1234 5 лет назад

    So generally with mod rock or plaster (that's what we call it in America) before you put it on the newspaper or whatever base material you use, you should get all of the holes out of it by running your fingers that are still wet from the water down the mod rock so that when it dries its a smooth (or smoother) surface to draw or paint on. I hope this helps at all.

    Dude that looks so good!! A couple of tips for using ModRoc kinda materials:
    •It tends to work better if you use warm-hot water (don’t use straight up boiling water!! If you want to use boiling water than add cold water in after to make sure you don’t burn yourself!)
    •If you use tinfoil instead of news paper it’s still a light weight base and it’s much more malleable (it can kinda hurt you hands after a while of working with it, so be cautious)
    Anyway, love you and your little ghost boi! Hope to see more of your artistic exploits soon!!
