Ive been running my channel for the last 5 months. Im documenting getting sober and healthy day by day (im on day 41 of sobriety :D). My goal for 2025 is to devote most of my free time to my content and my subscribers. I want to be entertaining, inspiring, interactive, and consistent. I've just made a bunch of major changes in my life - divorced my wife, moved back to the USA after living abroad for a long time, committed myself to a fitness plan, and started work on a new software platform I've been thinking about for a long time. I've been watching your content for a while, and it has given me the motivation to start making some content of my own. I ordered a microphone and some of those wall foam things. People can support your work but that doesn't mean they are buyers. Sometimes they turn into buyers, not always. Many times they support from a distance. So where are the buyers and how do we get more of them is the question that isn't talked about in this video. It's vaguely covered up when he says "he has a list of buyers who want to buy from him" - how, when did this even transpire into buyers is not addressed.
I started 2 new RUclips channels 2 months ago and love creating content I am still a RUclips consumer. I listen to many different kinds of RUclips channels every single day. I think it's great that there is more people creating content. That means there is so much more variety and options. I get bored easily, so I love knowing there are a bunch of new youtubers creating content like me!
Have you thought that you might have ADHD. I have the same problem you wrote about. I was finally diagnosed with ADHD three months ago and this is one of the traits of the condition.
Transcendental Meditation has been very helpful in my experience for overcoming this! Meditation in general is helpful but TM has been the easiest practice I've come across

I am a 12 grade student in Indonesia, I recently started my RUclips Channel. I do agree with what Dan Koe is saying. The most important thing for me a starter is to learn to make video the best I can no matter how simple it might look like. I like writing and reading, so, I don't really want to waste my time on shorts which mainly give temporary-pleasure. Patience is precious in creating what we know the best we can.

Awesome video. I am small RUclipsr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame - ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).

the strategy I had conceived of is heavily based on beginners in my niche, eager to learn, less jaded, and more influenceable. Watching this is not only reassuring, but has reminded me that I should use beginner friendly wording in my short form content and my beginner course and programs and their promos etc, maybe just a dash of nomenclature to add some intrigue and impressiveness, special terms do convey ideas more efficiently though and has it's place in intermediate and advanced courses, but it is not beginner friendly.

there's a book called The secret money magnet formula by Ronan Virell, and it talks about how using some secret techniques you can attract almost everything in life it's not some bullshit law of attraction, it's the real deal
as an independent artist I feel like I do everything in my power to be successful but still I have trouble reaching my goals or seeing my social media output turn into actual dollars. Rather than change my style, I know Im already sitting on a gold mine, I just have to mine better!!! I have major features, a large catalog of music and a decent worldwide fan base. This video has been extremely helpful in filling in some GAPS. I will be sure to begin initiating some of these tactics and knowledge. I will re-visit this video in exactly 6 months (June 2025) and let y'all know how helpful this information has been. Thanks so much for making this. This is pure gold! Music artist scaling up here. The thing is, you can't sell music, the fans already bought it/get it from stream platforms. So we have to have something to sell, other than music (which is the 1st contact/emotional contact). Then we/I can sell something else, related to the 'brand'.

See - my ears are valuable and not casually given away. Your message resonates. TBH, I’d rather pretend it didn’t. If I could, I would make music + art every day for the rest of my life and not do anything else at all. So, in terms of life goals - your insights and tuition can’t ever be more than the second best option. (sorry!) But - after watching, I am now starting to look forward to devoting some time to all those pesky but necessary things that aren’t the ‘thing’ itself (music, in my case) but ABOUT the ‘thing’, for keeping it going. This is pure gold! Music artist scaling up here. The thing is, you can't sell music, the fans already bought it/get it from stream platforms. So we have to have something to sell, other than music (which is the 1st contact/emotional contact). Then we/I can sell something else, related to the 'brand'.

TBH, I’d rather pretend it didn’t.
If I could, I would make music + art every day for the rest of my life and not do anything else at all. So, in terms of life goals - your insights and tuition can’t ever be more than the second best option. (sorry!)
But - after watching, I am now starting to look forward to devoting some time to all those pesky but necessary things that aren’t the ‘thing’ itself (music, in my case) but ABOUT the ‘thing’, for keeping it going.
