The way you can speak and have such a clear train of thought is so inspiring! I'd love to hear what got you to the level you're at now, super quality stuff!
Thank you for the value brother. Principle #2 is so true. A lot of wealthy creators (Iman Ghadzi, Jordan Welch, Ruri ect) have started new RUclips channels from 0 because they made this mistake, and their audience doesn't give a fuck about them anymore. I didn't understand this principle for years, but now I get it. As soon as I started implementing it, my business changed 🤝
Omfgggg I can’t thank you enough for making this video! Only 1 other person I follow talks about this topic and it’s so refreshing seeing someone else talk about this too. I made this mistake BADLY in my business and couldn’t make sales and have to start all over. I realized I needed to start mostly monetizing my platform because fans don’t equal sales.
I’ve been following you and sharing your content from Instagram for almost a year now and it never dawned on me that you probably had a RUclips, but organically here you are lol right on my homepage, instant subscribe 💪🏾
well. This is trickier for artist-creators with LITERALLY negative interest (except a song and a dance). But point well taken! Congrats on the launch of the course. Thanks for sharing too.
Thank you for this video. This is exactly where I’m at. I work in social media marketing, and have ventured into online business myself, but this is the missing thing that I’m starting to realize. Awesome video!! ❤
I never heard of these two 1. You need to be selling more (More CTAs, Promotions everyday and on social medias as well) 2. Start your brand with the product (It makes more sense that even companies in real life begin with the product) Bro thank you
Well made Tom!! You've grown so much, I apologise I'm late on your youtube but I really enjoyed your instagram. I just subscribed to you. I'm looking to explode on this platform in 2025. Having fun with it
Number ONE mistake people make is creating content for people just like them, not for people who consume the content that the creator wants to make. I worded that badly so here's an example, game developers who make videos too technical when they are actually trying to sell their game. Or artist channels who don't make it entertaining enough, there's many many examples. Let's say you're a programmer selling a product or service. You don't want to make technical videos about programming. Your target audience is the people that would use your product or service.
Amazing video Tom! Got so much value from this. You inspired us to create our first digital product last year. At first we were nervous, but when we started getting really positive feedback from actual buyers this really helped us get over our fear of selling to our audience. Hope to join your program in the future :) Thanks again and keep creating super valuable content like this.
I have never wrote notes down before watching these advice videos. But today I had a change of heart. You gave so much gems, and had wonderful explanations and experiences to back them up. Thank you!
Excellent video, especially if your looking to transition out of your 9-5 job. Im early in the process but can see how views/subs isnt as important at your end product/service. Great perspective change 💪
16:25 Exactly what I am telling my clients with SEO = FCK the algorithm, just make the best texts, best product description and most helpful blog posts FOR people! :)
Just curious what you sell? I see a link for building a personal brand in your bio - do you have other services / products? I stayed up till 4am the last 10+ days trying to get an audience on a different platform, so this video was good timing. I’m considering a coaching service or personal brand service but not on RUclips.
Here's a question for anyone of you who'd like to answer. As someone who's building an agency and works mainly in the b2b space. What's your opinion on content creation? I feel like clients really don't care about content all that much and would rather see results. But I feel like certainly in my area (Belgium) a lot of agency's tend to make the same style of content. How would you handle making content for buyers in that space and not just to create an audience?
@ Thank you. I want to rush it but I don’t want to put a piece of crap out there. 😂😂 My videos aren’t the best but I’m trying to get better with every one. 👍
What has been your experience connecting your store and products directly to RUclips? I just added the one to one service a few days ago from Shopify as my first product.
This is banger Tom. I've been stuck on Monetizing my Personal brand, and now everything's clear. Gonna update the progress every time I hit the milestone after watching this. See you on the top, King.
If you don’t like a video, you can do this incredible thing where you simply stop watching the video…instead of trying to shame people for being interested in a topic that you deem as being beneath your moral superiority 😂
@@dogzentraining There is no shame in money, you want it go for it. If money is all you want, you shame yourself. I am not needed for that. As far as not watching, what makes you think I didn't stop? These comments still work if you watch the video or not. Why make comment at all? Because I can, you can make the choice not to read them.
Going to be the only to play the Devils advocate here and say your strategy on building a product first is REALLY BAD advise. This will unfortunately lead to people spending blood sweat and tears in creating a product that nobody actually wants. In fact, your own story illustrates this perfectly: this isn't because you focussed on followers, its because you didn't create the right product. Besides that, RUclips has reached a point where genuine / honest content performs a lot better than grifters selling a Product. Just open your feed and look at the smaller channels right next to the ones getting 100K. It still works, but people see through that shit and don't want to watch Ads for their products. Alex Hormozi says it much better. Give away value for free, build trust, listen to what they want and then fulfil that demand. >17k/mo Skool community owner

Enormous practice! Speaking to camera like this is a very similar skill to public speaking.

Why doesn’t anyone talk about this? I am just grateful you exist because I thought I was the only idiot who struggled with this
youre the only idiot but many ppl struggle with this for sure
Love to see more creators speaking on this. So important!
