yeah, I watched one of Dan's videos a while back, thought I was just going to see a bit of it but ended up sitting for the whole thing. Didn't even remember his name at first. Then, he pops again with another compelling concept, I'm like "Oh, there's that guy again, the one with the serious but strangely mesmerizing voice!" So I sat for another whole video. Don't make it too high level. 3. A clear solution. An actionable way to overcome the problem, preferably with a unique way of doing so from personal experience. 4. A big benefit. Imply or state a desirable benefit that people will receive from your advice. 5. Confidence or polarization. Stand firm in your beliefs but be willing to change them. Nobody wants to follow someone who doesn't sound confident or can't choose a side. Say what you want to say. You will get hate like everyone else. 6. A novel perspective OR big idea. This is why reading or consuming content is important. If you can find a way of explaining an idea that isn't normal, it will give your readers a dopamine hit and advance their understanding. When writing check the box on 3-4 of them at the start. Then you begin to develop the skill and you can start to create your own rules of the game.

I've never seen anyone discuss how important commenting on other people's content is in terms of growing on social media! I made a comment (related to my content) on someone else's TikTok and was so shocked that it blew up and so many people followed and reached out to me, so I try to make more of an effort to do that now. So glad you mentioned it!
About 20 years ago there used to be a community where we'd have Photoshop battles. Someone would upload a photo and you'd take it, affect it, then pass it back. I spent waaay too much time doing that but loved it and it pushed my Photoshop control.

No matter how good your appointment setter is, if your offer isn't compelling enough, it's a total waste of time. On the topic in influencer marketing for me the focus should be on the quality of information one is trying to share with a greater audience. The information/ product/ service might be beneficial to a particular segment of the population to which a particular influencer is already engaging with. There's nothing shady about engaging that audience throught that influencer becausethat influencerhas the power to help their audiencefocus their attention on you for a few moments, its just strategy. I've never seen anyone discuss how important commenting on other people's content is in terms of growing on social media! I made a comment (related to my content) on someone else's TikTok and was so shocked that it blew up and so many people followed and reached out to me, so I try to make more of an effort to do that now. So glad you mentioned it!
About 20 years ago there used to be a community where we'd have Photoshop battles. Someone would upload a photo and you'd take it, affect it, then pass it back. I spent waaay too much time doing that but loved it and it pushed my Photoshop control.

Right on the spot! I've been an appointment setter for both low and high ticket sales. The most successful clients I work with are those who are good at creating content! No matter how good your appointment setter is, if your offer isn't compelling enough, it's a total waste of time. You want warm leads-people who have been following and engaging with you-not a total cold DM. Just for the record cold dm still works but takes more time.

All this is eye-opening for someone who has just started his RUclips journey. It's quite difficult finding the right advice out there in this ocean of RUclips advice videos. 99% of them just repeat the same 10 tips ad infinitum, and it can become quite disheartening. On the topic in influencer marketing for me the focus should be on the quality of information one is trying to share with a greater audience. The information/ product/ service might be beneficial to a particular segment of the population to which a particular influencer is already engaging with. There's nothing shady about engaging that audience throught that influencer becausethat influencerhas the power to help their audiencefocus their attention on you for a few moments, its just strategy.
We are bombarded with distractions on social media and real life (for many its a downward spiral), paying someone to get us to focus for a few seconds on something that could matter to us is not a bad idea.
I love the clarity you are offering.
Social media 101 from Dan:
1. A Hook: Be mindful as to whether or not your first sentence will grab their attention.
This goes beyond just the words you use.
The Structure and design of the post can to this, even on X.
2. A big problem:
Imply or state a problem that people can relate to.
Don't make it too high level.
3. A clear solution:
An actionable way to overcome the problem, preferably with a unique way of doing so from personal experience.
4. A big benefit:
Imply or state a desirable benefit that people will receive from your advice.
5. Confidence or polarization:
Stand firm in your beliefs but be willing to change them.
Nobody wants to follow someone who doesn't sound confident or can't choose a side.
Say what you want to say.
You will get hate like everyone else.
6. A novel perspective OR big idea:
This is why reading or consuming content is important.
If you can find a way of explaining an idea that isn't normal, it will give your readers a dopamine hit and advance their
understanding.
The amount of quality content you've condensed here is so impressive. I started my channel a little over a month ago and am realizing how much I have to learn about social media, communication, and marketing. I'll be saving this video to come back to as I progress in my journey!

This is the best and most profound youtube channel I've even found that everybody in any age should watch! I even share this to my teen kids. The contents are so rich in values that millenials need to learn if they wanna be successful in this crazy instant era.
I'm not a big fan of social media in general. My RUclips channel has been built around healthy use of social media and technology but I do like the way you teach social media growth. Your video has helped me see social media growth in different non-click-bait and "I want your click real bad" way . Amber, it isn't hard to find an editor and you don't need to give them credentials. Just ask him to upload the final version in the drive, and from there you can download it. Anything else I can help with?
