Really appreciate the content! Thanks for making these thorough videos I’ve basically used these as a guide for my first ls build.

Matt I know I've said it before, but your attention to details and specs is simply brilliant. Cracking video again

I used red RTV on my oil pan on an LS rebuild. After more reading, I have come to believe I probably should have used black. Couple questions for your opinion: (1) Should I change the RTV color to black? Also, the [Fel-Pro] oil pan gasket I used is brand new other than being installed. The engine is still sitting on the stand "dry" other than assembly lube on necessary components. (2) If changing the RTV color is necessary, can I clean off the red RTV, and reinstall using black RTV with the existing new gasket? Or should I replace the oil pan gasket as well?

      You can reuse the gasket.
