The Auction Biohazard Civic Hatch Gets an Interior Detail | Part 3
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 8 июл 2024
- While at an auto auction, I came across this 1997 Honda Civic EK Hatchback. This was categorized as a biohazard with no key. I saw it and decided to roll the dice and buy it without knowing the condition of the engine and transmission. I grew up wrenching on these old Honda EK Hatch's so this one felt special to me and I wanted to save it. Stay tuned to find out if it actually runs!

I am invested in this series way more than I should be.
Thanks for sharing this video man, I just now watch you wash your car video
same here. I found lots of interest since it popped up on my feed cars coming out good !!
Nice bro l have eg turbo
I LOVE IT
I’ve been really loving this series so far. Like others have said, it’s really refreshing to see an EK stock like this one. I think this car could be really nice either slightly modified (like with wheels, tires, coils) or completely stock
Stock, but some nice wheels would not hurt, i agree
Hit it with some polished si wheels or some polished gsr blades would go wicked good on this.
No, stock is best. Start with small modifications and it will start to be the typical civics.
Absolutely loving this series so far, its so refreshing to see a car restoration series that isnt some wrecked supercar or a barn find classic. Haven't watched the full video yet but I already know its gonna be a banger as always
no wrecked supercars here, just tastefully clapped automobiles
@@bendaga tastefully clapped economy class vehicles
@@bendaga but some nice thiccckkkkk alloy wheels in it
I’d say keep it! You saved it’s ‘life’ and mechanically it looks to be in good shape. Stock ones are becoming rare and it looks pretty cool like this. Maybe some new wheels or find the missing hubcap!
As for the tree sap: try WD-40 as someone else advised in the comments😊
It's funny how it's so much harder to find a stock example of these today. Times have changed for sure. I may have to give the ol WD40 a shot!
You actually saved its life... Love your work
thanks man
I do think restoring back to stock would be a nice look. So many people clap them out that you can really appreciate one that's in stock form. Or another thing you could do would be to keep the exterior stock and do whatever engine mods you want to do as well. Turn it into a sleeper lol.
It’s definitely more rare and valuable stock. that car is every ricers dream
A sleeper is the best option in my opinion. Looks clean, but a bit faster.
I think stock is the way to go. Hard to find these as they were from factory nowadays, great series so far
You could've left the fungus on the steering wheel as an anti-theft "device"
This car is coming along nicely
if you do decide to sell it at some point, I bet you could make some good money. a completely stock ek hatch with a full detail and no mechanical problems is not easy to find these days.
Amazed on how quick you're moving through this car! Can't wait to see where you take it!
appreciate it!
Crazy on the difference between the before and after condition on this car. You gotta keep it. I assure you if you sell it or give it away it’s gonna end up either sitting again or gonna get riced out and modified. Keep it and restore it to almost OEM or OEM+ condition… it’ll be a fun little project to have… since it’s already pretty solid.
I would keep it stock, i like the way it looks without any mods.
I love this series. You're actually restoring it. Good work!
thank you!
I found I was so excited when I saw the cleaning video had been posted. I love this little car. Like others have said, you save the old girl's life. And she looks so nice after the detailing! Looking forward to more videos.
thanks Jay!
In my opinion this gen civics rides good while give you the most road feedback, and the double wishbone suspension really proofs it's point here
agreed
I'd say keep it stock you rarely see bonestock civics anymore its actually cool to see plus hondas are fun to drive even in their stock form
This series is awesome man, looking forward to see more videos like this.❤
This series is so satisfying
*_Cant wait to see when this Ek Hatch is done 🔥_*
This car looks legit looking forward for more videos of this car❤
This my one of my favorite series on yt rn.

Keep the vids rolling dude. Solid content!
good find and good restoration. nice work man!
i love this civic. good on you, giving this old girl a new life.
Love these vids man. Keep going!
Love this series
Keep these videos coming broski!
Keep it up, I like how you describe the cars and it makes me inspired to pick up one of my own project cars. 👍
This dude is so underrated love the civic man
Love seeing this car stock
awesome car, awesome series. i vote to keep it stock. it's funny... i binge watched the videos about this EK hatch sunday morning. then i left the house to do some shopping around southcenter parkway, and saw several EK hatches in the wild (all modded).
car spotting at it's finest
I think this series is my favorite ever, i love old hondas, they're so nostalgic 👍👍
they really are, thanks man
cant wait for the final result
Love the content, would love to see more, like short videos are great, but I’d love to see you meet with these people when you get work done or pick up parts 🎉
"For whatever reason, these things are so expensive. Ya know, back in the day people used to throw these away"
that's exactly why they're expensive now
Keep the vids up man. Lovin it 👍
The car is awesome, You saved that hatchback. Nice job 😁😁
Yes keep it stock, so refreshing
Wow, who knew a cargo hatch would be so expensive and nonexistent? You probably could've scored the rear Honda badge at the Pick N Pull!
Anyways, thank you for blessing us with another video about the EK Hatch!!!
OEM-plus! This is a great example and would look awesome on coils
97’ civic sounds amazing. Driving my dad’s truck rn but hoping to save up for a nice old jdm like this sometime soon🥰.
biohazard EK restoration has been a banger so far
it's so cool watch you restore my fav car
🤝
Definitely keep it and do a build or something !! Would love to see a series of it bro ! Cheers !
Watching this series really makes me want one now 😂
Keep it and keep it stock 👍
I would love it if you keep this little honda there isnt many non molesred honda ek hatches left anymore stay safe brother ❤
Probably a goof idea to run an ozone generator in there for good measure.
This thing is sick!
This car will go anywhere and do anything
Keep the car!!
Great content my g.
Keep it keep it keep it 🙏
That Is totally worth it to keep look at how nice that car is I'd keep it forever
I’d love to get one of these
love how you found this completely stock! it's so hard to find lol
it looks great
Definitely love the daily uploads keep it up man! And you gotta get a cluster with the rpm gauge it looks way better 👌🏽
I'm on the hunt for an EX cluster, you are absolutely right it makes a huge difference
a little mod would be lit! loving the look already for a tiny car
rims tires and a FAT turbo
Looks very cool for everyday use. Reminds me my Corolla VIII gen
Amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
just finished watching the last episode and I love the series and how you document everything.. one thing I'd highly recommend is getting a lav mic (it isn't that expensive and will make a world of a difference)
PS: yes def keep it stock
good idea 🎤
I agree keep it stock looks great as it is :)
dude your editing is awesome
Love it! KEEP IT STOCK PLEASE! PLEASE!
keep it stock! and definitely keep it ☺️
Keep it man!!!!!
Always liked the look of that year of civi. 👌
I wish I could have that car for my mom
My vote is on keeping it stock, but put on some clean, subtle aftermarket wheels. Maybe +1 inch wheel diameter, keep it within the body silhouette. *Maybe* lower it slightly, but not slam it. And replace the body side moldings with color matched moldings if that can be done, instead of the stock black plastic.
I love this car and I really think you should keep it. This has been one of the cars I’ve been surrounded with for a while and they’re beautiful cars. I’ve been trying to find one as a daily for a bit and they’re just so expensive to someone my age. To sell this beauty would be a shame and I wish you the best of luck.
Id throw one some nice wheels on it, get oem floormats, get that hood fixed and thats about it. You should definitely prioritize getting theft deterrent measures for sure.
You won the lottery man😁
This is nice the uplaods are fast.
Hi Bendaga!
I think you should keep the Honda as a daily, I feel that it is a good daily for you. It doesn't seem like it should be in rally.
Keep up the good video work and I hope to see more videos on this Honda.
Keep it!!
i have the same car but it needs alot more work. I didn’t know about that cargo cover tho glad i watched the video thanks
A nice car to keep in stock condition
I love the way these look slightly modified but, keep that baby stock! You have the means to go find another one of these puppies. Most of us Honda plebs will pay a pretty penny for a stock vintage car in amazing shape.
Another banger
One thing you should definitely do is pull up the carpet and inspect the floorboards and the underside of the carpet for any rust/moisture.
KEEPER!
Keep as stock. It's a gem. 🏆✨️🎰
I would love those mudguards lol. I have been in the search for them on my 99 silver hatch
W vid bro! Keep this car man…this one of those cars you can just always have and will stand the test of time. Make it look as good as possible stock and see what happens🧙🏾♂️
Keep and do vids of your fixes we are invested 😅
The car now looks super good compared to when u just bought it. I'm pretty excited to see the finishd product in the future lol
Love it, and the 90's Hondas were SO GOOD! Easy to maintain and very solid! Not sure if you already plan for it, but some Plexus on all your exterior plastic will go a long way (the best product I've tried so far). Did you polish up the passenger headlight? BTW, Keep it stock. Maybe enjoy it for a bit, but keep the flip simple.
solid advice, thank you 🤝
Now the funy car is clean 😊
Thanks for the update
I really like this car
Keep it stock man 😎. Its really hard to get these cars not beated or smth like this.
I would definitely keep it stock.
W video bro one day i will have my own honda civic and fix the mold of my stearing wheel fire fire
I recommend he keep it
definitely love the stock look. although, the single tastefully clapped wheel on the passengers side is nudging my ocd like crazy 😭
I’m following this
I think you have made me love civics lol
Keep it, they are going up on prices
Bendega I think you should do subtle mods to make the car look better, just do what fits your tastes man, tasteful mods
