Let me know what you want to see in the future!!
26:51 Baby Shark. hahaha. Nice one.
Haha, once it's in your head you can get it out! 😂
Discovered you a week ago. Best find ever!! Keep the videos coming 👍
Thanks so much Mark! I'm trying my best! 😁
First time I watched this channel obviously fabulous from
Paul
Thank you so much! I hope to keep the videos coming! 😁
I am getting addicted to your videos Richard😄 Great editing and commentary 👍
Many thanks for sharing
Thanks so much! Glad you're enjoying them! 😁👍
Excellent video!!
Thanks Dave! 😁👍
Great video. Love the oxygen moustache :D
Haha yeah it's not the finest look! Thanks 😁
Amazing flight! So jealous, would love to do more airways flying in the Twinstar. Editing was spot on!
Thank you! 😄
Nice flight, Richard I very often watch your flights into Booker as I’m a frequent visitor You must need a degree to fly, that thing you make it look so easy. Welcome to Wycombe Booker
Great videos and greetings from Orlando, Florida, USA. I’m a flight instructor over here and your videos have inspired me to learn more about your airspace and procedures. It is notably different!
Greetings from a cold wet England! Yes our airspace is a little quirky here. It's a bit of a mix of a lot of airports being squeezed into a small "relatively" small island and a few local procedures. The main bulk of the regulations here are not do different to the USA but once you get your head around the local differences, it's a joy to fly here!
@@richardtyrerand even more so back home in Ireland, where there are fewer movements in Irish airspace, although having an IFR rating is essential, as the weather can turn IMC very quickly in Ireland, especially West of the River Shannon
Great video Richard! Looking forward to starting my MEP and ME/IR training on the DA42!
You’ll love it! Good luck! 😄
Only discovered your videos yesterday, fantastic camera set up you have, and I love all the technology you have at your disposal. I fly a Eurostar here in the UK using an old magellan gps for my cross country nav,but hope to upgrade to skydemon soon, keep these great vids coming!
Thanks so much! Even in most of these videos I use Foreflight, for VFR in the UK I do actually prefer SkyDemon.... so well worth the investment! Safe Flying! 😁
Great editing!
Thank you! 😄
Like others, I have recently discovered your channel (and subscribed). I'm just an old flightsim guy (MSFS2020), but I was hooked with the Shoreham, Elstree overfly, to Wycombe flight--all airfields that ORBX has released scenery for.
Thank you! I’ve got MSFS 2020 as well! It’s an amazing platform, great for fun and training!
THANKS!!!
Polished engines, anytime for you😉😜
#basicservice
Anytime buddy! I'm just trying to keep them that way! 😁
Richard, I’d love to see you doing a flight across the Irish Sea, first into Dublin and then west into Knock Airport in the West of Ireland, also Sligo, Donegal, Galway, Aran Islands, Shannon, Kerry & Cork 🇮🇪☘️🇬🇧❤️
OMG Richard, slow down! I'm starting to get accustomed to your accent, but it is taking some time! Great Videos! Someday I'll be able to keep up with what you're doing! Trying!
I'm sorry! I'm working on it! I'll meet you in the middle one day! 😁
Great 👍
Thanks Danny!
Excellent video more GA routes around uk please as we are unlikely to get over to Europe soon
Hopefully it will open up a little..... but until then I will keep them coming! 😁
Have you joined the web discussion boards at Diamond Aviators? And did you know that there are replacements for those little plexiglas latches on the vent windows? You can order them from a 3d printing place in aluminum or various other materials and they are not nearly as fragile. I thought of it when you checked one on the starboard side.
Excellent videos.
Why do you have 670 subs?! This is amazing and editing is on point!
Honestly I have no idea! It's kind of caught me by surprise as well! Thank you so much, I put a lot of time and effort into editing these videos so its great to hear!
@@richardtyrer i think you need more then 670 tbh!
But thanks for showing off UK GA! Seeing content like this is giving me the itch to get my PPL
Hi Richard Great flying video's, Can I ask you what make is the grey top your wearing in this video and the make of the white and grey long sleeve T shirts with the orb emblem on the right side in other video's Thanks
Thanks Steve! I think this one is a Reiss jumper and think the other one you are looking at is Blakely!
How much does an aircraft like that cost?
Richard, great videos. Question...how come you're flying a US registered A/C in England? keep the videos going.
Excellent video and thank you for spoiling us with those spectacular views. I'm not sure how you'd get around the issue of connecting the wing mounted camera once you're airborne. I'm guessing you have full ATPLs and perhaps even fly for an airline? Correct me if I'm wrong. I plan to go commercial, but I'm small fry compared to yourself having only just uploaded videos of my QXC for my PPL! I'd love to fly the DA42 or DA40 one day, not overly fussy, so if you ever intend on taking passengers who will help film do let me know. Regards, Chris
Thank you so much! I think I have found a fix. The wing camera is only really good for short flights as being exposed on the longer flights drains the battery quickly! I have a ATPL(H) and a CPL/IR(A). Good luck with going commercial, it's a great career path with countless opportunities! I'll keep that in mind! Cheers 😁
excellent video. If you are coming Norwich way again, pop into Seething EGSJ
Will do! Last time I was at Seething was about 7 years ago!
Another great flight. At last we have an English rival to the the American aviators publishing on RUclips. Top flight. Top editing. Top presentation .... only beaten by Gyrocopter Girl😊.
Thanks so much! I have seen so many of these videos in America, but no so much over here which inspired me to give it a go! I have never heard of her before, just checked out some of her videos. They're great!
Hi Richard, really enjoying the videos… just wanted to ask which flight school you did your Instrument rating with?
Also, have you got any experience with an Airline yet..
Hey Nick! Thanks so much! I did my IR at BEA (Wycombe Air Park). They have great instructors and good access to DA42's as well as an onsite simulator. I would recommend them. I have no airline experience, however I do fly a few other high performance fixed wing aircraft.
Do you do trips?
Is that pure oxygen? Does it have to be used or is it just in case? and Do you have to buy / refill after using great video ounce again
Yes! It's a factory installed O2 tank in the nose. In FAA unpresserised aircraft you have to use oxygen if you spend more than 30 minutes in-between 12500ft and 14000ft. Above 14000ft you need to be on it constantly. I refill the tank in my maintenance shop. Thanks for the feedback! 😁
Really enjoying your content mate. Can I ask if there is purpose to your travels or are these just pleasure flights?
Thanks so much Dale 😁 I use the aircraft for both my business and pleasure!
How were you able to get UK VKR charts into Foreflight? :D
It’s an optional VFR add on. By memory you buy it in your subscriptions (£58). A must for UK flying!
@@richardtyrer Oh nice! I'm trialling the free 30 option at the moment and it lacks it. This is a game changer!
Did you by any chance do your training at Wycombe Airpark?
I did my MEP and ME/IR training at Wycombe! 😄
Thought so! 😂 Great to see you flying! Have you gotten rid of the Type R? 😂
Your videos are getting better! I was just watching James Asquith aviation video. I definitly recommend checking him out.
Thanks for that! I will check him out!
Nice flight! What is the weight and balance in DA42? How many KGs of crew can you carry for example with full main tanks?
With full tanks (so 76USG including Aux tanks), you have 276kg payload available in my aircraft. But this aircraft sips fuel so I don't use the Aux tanks with more passengers. That gives you 355KG available with full main thanks only (50USG). Hope that helps!
Thank you for your answer! But does the center of gravity remain in front of the aft limit? When I saw weighing report of DA42 in our flight school, it is almost impossible to have atleast 1 passenger in the back row.
@@martinsuchy850 I can take 4 pax happily (average 82kg each) with 40USG and be in CofG. The main thing I have problems with heavier passengers is Max Zero Fuel Weight. Only time I have CofG issues is with just myself and full icing fluid, but that is cured with a 10kg bag in the extended boot!
@@richardtyrer Thank you for our time answers, very helpful! Have a nice day and many happy landings!
*your time and answers*
nice,, ever try using inogen portable o2 ?
Dude you are everywhere haha😜
@@MickeLang that what the internet allows haahah
@@MAGApepe 😂😂😂😂👍🏼
Thank you! Had to Google what that was! Never used it!
Nice. Is that an automatic beta check ? Never seen that before?
It's an automatic cycle which tests both ECU's on each engine. On each cycle it feathers the propellers as a check. Makes life so much more simple than the six lever juggle!
@@richardtyrer Nice! The shuffle is all know! 😅 Great vid, mate....
No weather radar onboard? What if you entered rough weather in one of those clouds…
The aircraft is weather radar equipped! Honestly on that day there was no build ups or weather that would have required to use it. 😁👍
@@richardtyrer is it equipped with a proper radar device onboard that scans ahead of the aircraft? Or its equipped with device that gets data from third party by downloading such data on screen? There is a difference between both, I guess you already know the difference, the first type which is fully onboard and doesn’t depend on third party data making it way more accurate.
@@user-gy8be9cf7i it is equipped with both. The satellite weather is great for long distance planning, but it won’t pick out any sneaky embedded CB’s that the weather radar will pick up! I would feel really uncomfortable flying on a convective day with only satellite weather, especially in a piston aircraft when you can’t fly above it!
@@richardtyrer hmmm thats interesting to know, for instance the weather radar on a TBM, Single turbo prop plane is located on the wing, its big and can be seen clearly I wonder where the Diamond aircraft has it located? I assume its at the nose? Here am talking about the weather radar antenna 🤔
