Schön Sie wiedersehen in ihrem Flugzeug 👍👌 Herzlichen Dank für das Teilen auf ihre Flüge, wo hin Sie fliegen 🙏💐 Ganz tolle super gelungene Videos 👍👌💪
Hi Flughörnchen, don't forget to drink enough 😁 and stay safe! Micke Mama ♥ ♥ ♥
🥰🥰🥰
Heh... my Oma called me that when I was in flight training as a cadet in my teens! Thanks for the fond memory, Mama Lang!
@@GrizzAxxemann hahahaha love it
Schön Leute zu sehen, die ihren (meinen) Traum leben. Vor allem wenn jemand so dermaßen enthusiastisch ist !
Danke!! Genau darum soll es hier gehen! Freut mich, dass ich das teilen kann 😊
Yes ! Been waiting for a new vid for so long !!
Hey Micke! Great so see this series also on your channel :)
Thanks mate! It was finally time haha
Love the crossing series, and it's cool that you did your own perspective too besides Steve. Awesome stuff- thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching🙏🏼
In my opinion the best all around 4 seater airplane in the planet!! Speed, economy, safety, technology, unmatched! Great job young lad, you would be a fantastic CFI. I'm about 3 hours from the London factory.....I might go check it out.
It‘s my favorite too☺️
Thank you, waaaaay more to learn for me🙈
Great to see you again! Thank you for sharing!
Really like your video, Subscribed!
Just discovered you through flight chops... subbed.... great camera angles, especially forward viewing over your right shoulder
Welcome Phil! Thanks☺️
This work of yours is a great show Mike, congratulations!
Thank you☺️
immer wieder schön deine videos zu sehen! 👍
Hi Micke. I really love your videos. this time here we are in DA 42... Always top quality and very documented video... a pleasure to fly virtually with you... with you two... I noticed that you cut the motors "before" the electronics. is this normal procedure? the more time passes and the more I love the Diamonds.... thank you for sharing and can't wait to see what's next. Fly safe. Patrick LFPO.✈✈👍👍
Thank you Patrick☺️ Yes this is a normal procedure. Think about it the different way. Without electricity for the starter, you could not get the engine running. Handstarting is not possible due to the higher compression ration of a diesel engine compared to a gasoline engine. Very good question 😉
@@MickeLang Thanks for your reply Mick. but I meant, why do you cut the motors "BEFORE" cutting the electronics? On my checklist (C172), we cut the electronics "BEFORE" cutting the engine to protect the electronics from any overvoltage when the engine stops... can't wait for the rest... Fly safe..✈✈😉😉
Came here from Flight Chops
So Happy For You❣️
Diamond Is The Best 🛫On The Market 🔥
Flight Chops Is A Wicked Cool Channel 😁
Happy Safe 🛫All💞
Love it. Learn a lot from these. Would be interesting to hear more about what sort of raft you carry and the contents of your bailout-bag etc. Even in a sexy Diamond twin it makes sense to have an extra layer of safety crossing the Atlantic.
Thanks Eirik!
Will think about that the next time☺️
Thanks for loading this on your page! I loved the first one! Watched it 20 times minimum! I am sure I will enjoy this one the same!! I hope you do more!!!!
Thank you Dave!☺️
Great video Micke. I am one of the nerds that would have loved if you included more of the checks/flows.
What type of kneeboard do you use, it looks like good quality.
Thank you! Maybe I will put in more of that in the future☺️👍🏼 Actually this is still my first kneeboard which I got from flightschool in 2016😂 Simple but good!
You should think in a way to keep your head warm in case you end in the water. Feet are not so important but you can lose a lot of body heat by your head, but the rest is really well thinked.
Hi, I did not mention it but I have a special hood which goes over the complete head too. Thanks for the input☺️👍🏼
Awesome video! Quick question, why do you set a timer on take off?
Maximum time for full power is 5 minutes, with the timer I have a reference👍🏼
Huh never seen an ATIS on a VOR frequency before, that's new for me.
They have that in Helsinki as well, and a couple other places too. Not many of those that I know of, but there are a few.
@@LinkinLoris How do you identify the VOR if you don't have an automatic identifier or can the ATIS itself be classified as enough?
Because it won't produce any morse code right?
@@Arcadiez Pretty much- normally you’d have a morse code, instead you have the ATIS, which is probably an even more unambiguous identifier.
@@LinkinLoris interesting, thx for the info
Hey Micke! What kind of mount do you use for your iPad? I'm going to be flying the DA20, 40, and 42 this year and I need to get a good mount for my iPad!
Hi Yianni, I use a RAM Mount☺️
👍
Wow... that Wick ATIS - how did you understand that?! I caught maybe 30%... Possibly with more than one repetition I'd catch more...
To be honest it was not that bad in the headset. I thought the same while editing☝🏼
MIcke, watching Steve's video, he suggested we come watch yours. So, I have a question for you. You were talking about using the LPV or ILS approaches as a reference for your landings, even thought they were visual approaches. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn' the G1000NXI now have a 'Visual Approach' option under the Approaches? It may not in Europe, I don't know, but it was my impression that it was automatically generated based on a 3º glide slope from the touchdown area of the runway selected.
Hi Gary,
good catch there! Correct. This has to be certified in/with the particular aircraft too and the Diamonds do not have it until now. ☺️
@@MickeLang thank you very much! As I said, I've been watching Steve's videos, but I'm really glad that you also are providing video of the trip. I guess this happened in 2020? Either way, it's been really great to watch you guys and like I said to Steve, IF I had my medical back, IF I was flying again, IF i had both my instrument and multi ratings (A U.S. pilot), and the biggest IF of all, IF I could afford and was looking for an airplane, the DA42 VI would most likely be the airplane that I would want to own.
I do wish Diamond would offer the option to have the AE330s in the DA42, just for 10 more knots of airspeed. :) This is such a great airplane, and I really love all the videos on it, and watching both channels on this flight with these airplanes is awesome.
Do you know if Diamond is going to replace the three analog backup gauges with three Garmin GI-275s?
Thank you for the reply.
@@GaryMCurran Sounds great! We have the MD302 Standby Attitude Module as an option. Then the only analog instrument left is the compass. ☺️
Duude the controller´s Voice at Wick airport sounds so familiar to me! Why is that? (21:32)
How should I know haha?
@@MickeLang Kein Plan :D
Könnt ja sein, dass man den kennt aus Videos oder in der (Vatsim) community
Why cancel IFR, when still following the RNAV approach?
Money😂
What is your normal cruise speed when on autopilot?
Depends on the power setting. Let‘s say around 175 TAS with 80% power.
@@MickeLang Thanks!!!
what's the suff you put under th nose?
Oxygen canulla
@@MickeLang thanks. Why did you put it on?
@@FabioBosiofromBrescia because the aircraft is not pressurized and when you fly higher than 10000 feet you need supplemental oxygen👍🏼
What the model plane?
