Thank you, Micke! Very educational! Actually I was that „some guy“. Thank you for following my request and explaining the IFR pick up. Now I understand why you don‘t like the RNAV cloud breaking procedure in LOAN.
BTW, I just came back from LDPL with a DA-42 after a nice weekend at the Adriatic Sea 😎
You‘re welcome!☺️
As a dedicated viewer I coudn't resist the urge to contribute to the positive comments. Please stay exactly the way you are. That's who we all like and enjoy watching. Your tremendous effort of filming and editing doesn't go unnoticed. Leaving in the attempt at calling Richard was great and again shows that you seem to be a kind person. Please continue to inspire me/us!
Thanks for the nice words!☺️
you're not arrogant Micke, just passionate about what you do! Ignore 'em, they're just salty cause they're jealous of your career. great vids.
Hi Micke, don't change any single word of your videos and attitude. You are just perfect in what you are doing and sharing. Let's keep the same bro
I will not😉 Thanks for the nice words☺️
Don’t worry Micke there are always basement watchers. I thoroughly enjoy your channel. Safe travels.
Hi Micke. I didn’t see any negative comments, but find it hard to believe that anyone would have anything to criticize. I am a professional in a completely different field of endeavour, and an active private pilot. I love your videos, your attitude, and your professionalism. I am always excited to see when you have a new video. I know negative comments can spoil one’s day, and bring a bad taste to one’s mouth, especially when you put energy, enthusiasm and effort into something like this. So - take my advice (or don’t - you are doing just fine)…. IGNORE the sourpusses in the world. Do your thing, and be yourself. Most of us love it and wish you the best, and hope for many more videos from you!
I will continue like this no doubt🤘🏼☺️
Thanks for the kind words mate and thanks for watching!☺️
confidence is easily confused with arrogance. great video, enjoyed seeing my country from the air. subscribed!
Thank you Maarten! Appreciate the nice words!☺️
I've enjoyed all your videos but this one in particular, with the close ups and explanations, has been particularly useful. Thank you Micke.
Thanks! Much appreciated!!
Fantastic Micke ! Myself a 747 pilot close to retirement and always looking for my next adventure. Your videos allow me to dream further, hopefully as a private owner flying those fabulous diamonds. Diesel and two engines makes allot of sense, although prices are still high, but the dream lives on ! lovely insight, profesiionaly flown from your side. keep those videos coming and best to you !
Totally appreciate the integration of flight and nav instruments with the flying segments. It shows what is going on and how you are doing it. Good stuff 👍🏼
Thank you Pete ☺️
These videos just keep getting better! You can definitely tell a lot of effort has been put into making these. Great balance between the technical aspects and the cool views. Keep up the great work Micke!
That’s a great feedback, thanks☺️ It is a lot of work but it’s fun☺️ Thanks for watching Noah!
Thinking the same.
Good job captain! Awesome flight!
Hey Micke, I think it's fantastic what you keep showing us. Nothing arrogant, just having fun, I like that. Especially with the GOPro aimed at the screens, it is easy to see everything you do. Keep it up
Thank you Armand! More to come☺️👍🏼
Please dont let negative comments even enter your mind, its so easy to annonymously drop comments, but so hard to expose your self, your passion, your work, plus all the effort to record, narrate, and edit-- I cant imagine that any comment would have a right to critique you in such a lop-sided relationship.
Thank you Mike, amzing as usual. The new camera on screens is a very good idea!!
THANK YOU, MICKE FOR SHARING YOUR FLIGHTS WITH US, PLEASE CONTINUE AND DO NOT STOP. LOOKING FORWARD FOR MORE. CHEERS
Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for coming back on the channel Clarence!☺️
Always good to see you my friend!! Love your videos!!!!!
Thank you Dave!☺️
Awesome video yet again. Waiting for the next one!
Thank you Mathias!☺️
Love that new camera angle of the displays... and explaining what you are doing. Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback!
Great videos. Thanks for sharing your passion!
My pleasure! Thanks Pedro!
Keep doing what you and us (who love this beautiful aviation world) really love! Great video as usual!
Thank you Luca☺️
Great vids. Keep them coming. Alles Gute!
More to come! Thanks☺️
Hi Micke,
Your videos are great, you are humble. Please continue sharing.
Thank you for watching!☺️
Thanks for sharing your passion. What an instructive and informative experience!
Thank you for watching J.B.☺️
Wunderbar! Really like your videos and your capabilities. Danke
Thanks you☺️
Another GREAT VIDEO Micke !! Keep up the good work my friend !! 👏👏👏
Thanks Carlos🔥
great videos Micke - it's always fun and inspiring to virtually come along on your flights! Cheers from Germany
Danke Dominik! ☺️
Don’t ever change a word you say, your videos are incredible and your passion is beautiful. From one pilot to another.
Thanks Stuart! :)
Great video! Very informative.. thanks Micke!
Thanks for watching Marcel!☺️
Great video and looking forward to the next one.
Thank you Julian!
Loved the video explaining the procedures and route! Great work and very inspiring. I don’t live too far from Ostend so always nice to see this kind of content.
Keep doing what you do Micke! Safe flight ;)
Thank you for watching!☺️
Thank you for educational 😍❤️👍
You are great, thank you!
Very nice video, fun to watch!
Thank you Lacasse!☺️
Thanks a lot for the awesome video. Also, your camera setting to capture the screens is great and gets a 👍.
I really got confused when you talked about some guys who were thinking your attitude is „arrogant“. Well, I have been watching your channel almost since day one and in my opinion you are doing an absolute great job with your videos and allowing us being part of your flying adventure. So keep up the good work and don’t bother about what other people say. Happy landings.
Happy that you like the camera angle!🤘🏼 Thanks for the nice words!☺️
You have very nice videos Micke, thank you for sharing with us!!! If you could continue showing on next videos the IFR part, like this one, could help a lot young pilots too. VOR procedures, for example and if possible. Congrats again for your videos!!!
Thank you! It's a bit difficult to show certain procedures when the main focus is to get from A-B as fast as possible. I have several ILS and GPS approaches in upcoming videos where you see the screens quite good so I hope this will help you too :)
BR Micke
Good job, Micke.
Great Mike amazing flight
Giovanni
Thanks Giovanni! Hope your training went well!!☺️
Thankyou very mucho for shareing your pasion, we enjoy very much your vídeos, You make us feel like we are flying with You, we realy apareciste thaks from Mexico
Muchas gracias Frank☺️
Brilliant video!
Thanks Bjørn!☺️
Great video. Very envious!
🙂
Thanks Jack!☺️
Great video micke
Thank you Noach☺️
Dude, F the haters, 99.9% of us love your content. I hope to get to meet you IRL if I get a chance to tour the Diamond factory in the future.
Thanks a lot for all your videos. The GoPro for the G1000 view is fantastic. Great idea. Very immersive.
How many ferry flights can you do in a year approximately with these great aircrafts?
Always happy landings. It’s fun and educational watching you. Thanks again!
Another great video Micke - very professional as always. I'm going to transition from the DA42 TDI to the DA42-VI to complete my instrument rating this summer. Your videos are great reminders of both IFR and DA42 procedures!
Suggestion for a future video - do a DA42-specific passenger safety briefing as if the camera were your (nervous, first-time-flying-in-a-light-aircraft) passenger. Would like to see how you do it in your enthusiastic yet professional style!
That’s a good idea Peter! Thanks for watching!☺️
Love the vlogs keep up the good work
Thanks Dwayne! More is coming ;)
Other manufacturer -✊🏻 POOF. That was funny. I like Diamond too. Flown only DA40 because our flying club doesnt have twins. And Cirrus is for old men. 😁
haha ;)
Great video! Thumbs up for the display camera angle.
Thank you Jonathan! Gonna use this angle more now☝🏼☺️
Hey, Micke, you are NOT arrogant. I absolutely love your videos. I cannot afford to fly any more, and get great pleasure from watching you doing what you do so well. It would be good if you could post flight plans so I can follow in my simulator. Tack tack...Chris
Thank you Micke for the great video, been watching your videos for a while.
Love the point of mentioning the plane manufacturer C with the emergency parachute :D
I have been flying with diamond 40 and 42 in Australia for my CPL and IFR,
its a fun and efficient plane to fly,
Cockpit design is great and especially for IFR it makes the life much more easier.
Thank you for watching and yes haha that was a little joke😜 Would love to fly in down under one day!
And welcome in my country, Belgium :)
Toller video. super zu sehen wie sie mit der G1000 omgehn, ich habe dar immer ein gefecht mit.
grusse aus Holland
Vielen Dank Arjan!
Wie immer super Video. LG Claus
Danke Claus☺️
Great channel!
Thanks for coming by☺️
The idiots commenting on your look isn’t worth mentioning, those comments should just be deleted and the person blocked. I love your videos and your professionalism. 😎✈️
I would not call them idiots, I am happy about feedback and also if it’s negative I try to see it from a different perspective and to find out why this person might think so.🤷🏼♂️
Thanks for watching and coming back to the channel Brian☺️🤘🏼
Amazing video! I love watching all of them. I am about to finish all training on DA40 and DA42 in Canada. Next time you are in CYFB tell Kira and HoldMyTimmies that Matt says hi!
Thanks Matt!
Will do so!☺️
Great video as always... Keep up the good work. Don't worry about some of the knockers... they're just jealous. :)
Thank you Rob!☺️
14:50 nice one 🪂
😜
Thank you for your professiomal video work!
I am wondering what's the particular reason that you don't publish ATC communication in Austria (only)?
Great video, just started my IFR training, so great to see procedures and listen communications. Also can I ask what equipment you use to record communications? Just a cable to GoPro or something else?
Nice! Hope it helps a bit☺️ It’s a cable basically between intercom and headset and this goes to the Gopro too. You can get it from “Nflightcam” I believe☺️👍🏼
Der Hansi Hinterseer der Lüfte 😜😂
Tolle Videos, keep going ✈️💪😊
Haha vl sollte ich zum Singen beginnen im Flug, gute Idee😜 Danke fürs Ansehen!☺️
Many thanks for taking the time to share. Something most of the detractors fail to take into account!
Yes love the screen views - really helps with nailing down the ifr flow in the approach segment.
If you do get a chance can you compare the difference between IFR in Europe and in the US. Get very confused as to why in some of Richard's videos that he is not cleared into airspace even if he is IFR! Assume Europe the same?
Thanks Ivor for watching! I have never flown in the US so I can not compare that :/
Great video. Just found you; I'll be back! I just noticed, you read the comments and answer, very rare these days. Good job!
Thanks for watching Dan! ☺️
Beautiful landing..!!Wished i could fly too.. :(
Thank you☺️
AWESOME!!! Captain Great JOb ......🛩🛫🛬
Thanks Saad!☺️
@@MickeLang I dont know if you knew him, but he is also great: ruclips.net/user/CitationMax
BTW I have never heard any arrogance, just professionalism.
Attitude... Altitude... Ignore the negative comments 😆
Am sure that "constructive criticism" is always welcome...
Great videos... So much fun to watch... keep it up 👏👏👏
Es war Quatsch mit Soße als ich durch den Kommentar gelesen hat. Was Sie tun Herr Lang ist Prima!
Great video Micke! Did you fly with the DA62 to Ostend as well in the past months? If so I am wondering if you will publish a video of that flight as well? :)
Yes I did, but the video will take some time ☝🏼☺️
Nice flying Micke! I'm looking forward to doing my ME IR in the DA42.
Oh and just ignore the negativity and take it as entertainment.
Thanks Mike! (nice name😜)
You will love it!
All the best!
I would love to do this too! :)
Everybody has to start somewhere☝🏼☺️
Very Nice! Thank you! The Garmin System is useful but seems so complex! How did you ""endup"" at Diamond Aircraft? What steps in your education do get there?
You’re right, a glas cockpit can give a ton of information. For people coming from gages it must be difficult to learn that. I always flew on a glas cockpit so this is why I am so familiar with it but don’t put me in an old cockpit with gages and say I should fly IFR, that would be so hard for me!
I will try to tell the story in a future video.
Thanks for watching!☺️
I follow 4LR Richard as well!! Geeking out right now!?😂
Fun flight!! Would love to fly a Diamond one day... Beech it is for now
Thanks! The beech is powerful isn’t it? ☺️
@@MickeLang hahaha. This is a C24R :). IO-360A1B6. Only 200 HP on a “flying box” :). A DA-40 has better cruise performance :)
Du ser ut som en pilot, du pratar som en pilot och du är pilot.
Om någon har problem med det så är det deras problem!
Flyg säkert.
Älskar denna kommentaren!🤘🏼☺️
Thanks for your work. Could you show us the aircraft’s you fly from the outside please?
Type in OE-FLZ in Google and you see it ;)
Helloooo. I’ve been enjoying your videos since crossing the pond with Martin. I’m not a pilot yet learning on youtube for now and one day I will fly. The more I learn of diamond aircraft the more obsessed I become. They are perfection. But hopefully when I start bigger engines faster and higher 😂
The editing, the cameras and most importantly you are always explaining very well what you are doing as many of us out here are not pilots yet.
Ideas for videos
A detailed video of the entire console.
Maybe a video on doing the flight plan for IFR.
You explain very well so please teach more. Maybe explain what other things you think or watch out for during takeoffs and landings besides the obvious. How do you prepare for emergencies? More details please. Thank you very much. Keep up the great flying and videos.
Thanks for watching Marko!
That’s a good idea too! Will try that in the future👍🏼☺️
Great video yet again! - I suffer(?) from hypersensitivity to arrogant people, and I can tell there's no trace of arrogance in your videos. Keep doing what you are passionate about and we'll appreciate your videos as long as you have fun making them! - The only negative thing for me might be that I get inspired to shell out the cash for the PPL 🤣 ! All the best from a glider pilot from Finland! 👍😎🛫
Oh, and the screen cam is great!
Thanks my Scandinavian mate ;)
It's worth it! But then please do it on a Diamond ;P
BR Micke
Can you talk more about the training you needed to take in order to get where you are today?
You are cool mate, disregard the haters, they are just gonna hate. :-)
Thanks :)
7:06 hey, i have a question. at 7:06 sek you said fuel pumps off. and in other videos you turn the pumps on and off in the flight. why?:o how is this working with the fuel?:D sorry for that stupid question XD i'm a noob:D
Hi Micke. Great job
Love your video’s keep up the great work. If you are in Iqaluit this summer say hello to my son Josh. He is working at the FBO and is working towards his commercial licence.
Will have a look out for Josh👍🏼☺️
Hi Mike nice Video ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks☺️
Where can i buy Oxygen tubing system like you connected for da42,62 near Bratislava ? Thanks
I believe every Aviation shop
should have them available
go on ;)
Hi Micke, very cool videos!
Do you maybe know what's the reasoning behind prohibiting recording of ATC transmissions in Austria and some other EU countries?
Thanks Jan!
Someone decided that it’s prohibited, that’s what I think🤷🏼♂️
@@MickeLang That's a real shame. I think LiveATC is very useful for student pilots, even more so for beginners on their first international solo flights. Accents can be difficult...
I was curious as well. Interesting that their reason is “because”.
Micke, how much headwind did you have? I see 133 kt in cruise when you tried to make that satellite call, for a twin I'm quite surprised to see such a low GS (EDIT: or wait, is that TAS?). Btw loved the panel camera angle! So much more instructional.
You saw the indicated airspeed. True is about 180 at 75% ☺️👍🏼
@@MickeLang Ahhh yeah that makes much more sense!!
I want you to try “pop up IFR”
I’ve always wondered why the front dash with the instruments on airplanes are always sticking so high up. It seems like the
pilot has to sit up and stretch his neck to see over the dash. Just wondering.
The gopro angle might show that a bit different compared to how it really looks but the view out of this airplane is extremely good☝🏼☺️
Micke, another great video. On the IFR clearance... how would you get your clearance if the Cloud Bases were lower than 6000', e.g. 3000'?... or even zero/zero at Wiener Neustadt?
I'm not familiar with procedures and regulations in Europe, but as you may know, in the US I could from a non-towered airport call a phone number to get my clearance and clearance release -- even in zero visibility and zero ceiling -- takeoff into the clouds (probably on an Obstacle Departure Procedure), then once in the air get ahold of ATC Approach. I might not get radar-based traffic alerts from ATC until some nominal altitude (say 3000' AGL), but I'd be IFR and in the clouds from the moment I lifted off from the departure airport.
Thanks for your excellent videos!! Wayne (2008 Lycoming DA40, KSBA)
Hi Geezer,
I think there are 2 things mixed up in the video, here Micke is not flying the IFR procedure out of LOAN (as in the SID) but instead departing VFR and and then picking up IFR once airborne. The altitude for the pickup could have been lower as well in other parts of the TMA, he possibly could have requested that but 6000 is a mix of MRVA lower limits and overall airspace design (6000 is still E airspace in the western parts of the LOWW TMA, so no entry clearance required but still pickup in ocntrolled airspace).
LOAN actually has a specific IFR pick up procedure that allows for far lower minima but not 0/0 as you are still VFR up until 1400ft ASL. If I remember correctly that is still airspace G and therefore it's 5km horizontal vis + clear of clouds + surface in sight. In this case the cealing would have to be at least 1400ft
@@jakobeng1303, many thanks for a very clear and thorough answer. Much appreciated. Wayne (DA40 KSBA)
Jakob this is 100% correct!👍🏼 Thanks for taking the time!
Hi Wayne, I think I could not explain it better than Jakob!☺️
Hello, is there such a thing as DA42NG-VI? I thought NG and VI are two separate versions/generations
The “VI” version is an NG with several aerodynamical improvements.
@@MickeLang Thank u micke
I am From India bro.... Your Friend Came here...
👍
Are you a big guy or is the DA42 cockpit tiny? Your right arm seems to be taking up space on the right seat and your legs don't appear to fit. The plane just seems too small.
I am tall, 1.93 but to be honest I sit very comfortable. I actually like to sit with the legs up like that so there is enough space for me👍🏼 And it works fine to sit 2 in the front, it might also be the wide angle from the Gopro 🤷🏼♂️
Thanks for watching Antonio☺️
Hi, any reason for take-off with flaps up (from LOAN) ?
Yes, 42 does not have flaps TO
@@MickeLang Oh, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks !
how do you know wich waypoint to take as the first one? and what would you do if clouds will be on 5000ft?
I am just routing in the direction of the first waypoint after the instrument departure out of neustadt because this is 99.9% the point which they will clear you to. But I am VFR at that point so I could actually fly in any direction. If I know they ceiling is below the minimum radar control altitude I would fly the instrument departure, the I could be in clouds at 1400 feet.
@@MickeLang and where you find minimum control radar altitude? in the chart? thank you
@@justintv1905 I correct myself, Radar Minimum Altitudes☝🏼 There is a chart from Vienna airport which tells it and since we do this IFR pickup very often we know which altitude it will be depending on which direction we depart👍🏼
I'm confused. Is this is DA42-NG or a DA42-VI?
Official type is still DA42 NG but the "VI" version of the NG was several aerodynamical improvements on the NG version and so it got the marketing name "VI"
Sir can u tell me the name of this aplication in your ipad u always look or anyone know this name of the aplicaton?
That is “Foreflight” ☝🏼
@@MickeLang Dude thank u very much
I don't think you have an attitude or come across as arrogant at all. I like watching your vids.
Thank you☺️ Giving my best!
