      I didn’t fly for over 13 years due to fear, I watched tons of RUclips videos to normalize it then hired a flight instructor to talk me through the physics, engineering, and all the safety procedures before letting me fly with him in a small plane for 1 hour… I’ve flown on 2 vacations since, and I’m so glad I conquered my fear. Wishing you the best with building your bravery, flight absolutely opens one’s world!

      @@richardtyrer it's really fun flying, lots of challenges. Most of the runways are 799m and 30m wide and 6 degrees on the PAPIs.
      And most of the approach are 2D/NPA, NDB timed, NDB/DME, LOC. But luckily there are getting more GNSS approaches.
      Kangerlussuaq is our safe haven😄 The weather is really stable there.
      Safe flying!✈️

    I am addicted to these videos. One suggestion…turn your exposure down so we can see what is going on outside the windows.

      @richardtyrer  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, the rear camera didn’t come out anywhere near as well as I wanted. Turning the exposure down made the cockpit super dark! First time with this set up so will try and tweak it a little next time!

    I have watched a lot of videos of private jet flights over the years, and I've never seen anyone tweek the throttle up on the off side of a turn like you did when leaving the runway.
    I guess that saves on brakes.
    I'll sub if you promise to zoom in on the panels in future vids so I can actually read them. Like the engine monitors on startup and the main screen with altitude and speed. 😆
    I love watching these kinds of vids. I haven't done any flying in decades.
    These modern jets are so complex compared to anything I ever flew.

      Hello! Carbon brakes are not designed to be ridden lightly, so I just find it easier to put a little asymmetric trust on to help the nose out. Thanks for feedback, first time filming in a Phenom so it was a learning experience for me!

    Hi Richard! Glad to see you flying the Phenom! I'm a pilot and dispatcher and for UK domestic flights especially to EGTK, sometimes is a little be tricky to find a valid route by eurocontrol. Cheers

    • @richardtyrer
      @richardtyrer  2 года назад +2

      It’s a lovely aircraft to fly! Yeah Oxford can be a little funky with finding a good route. Think mainly as it’s out of controlled airspace with no SIDS/STARS. We normally end up going North on our Southbound flights! 😁👍

    • @jesper2000
      @jesper2000 2 года назад +1

      @@richardtyrer Totally agreed! Actually sometimes for short flights like EGLF - EGGW at FL080 you can only get a valid route using only DCT! No SIDS/STARS

    Could you pls share details of the cockpit camera on the upper right of the windscreen? Thx. Appreciate the clear view of the instrument panel as you do your pre-flight checks and throughout the take off and flight. That climb rate was a surprise! 😂 You looked almost vertical! 😦
