Depressurize the fuel system first! If you don't, you can have fuel spray everywhere. All it takes is removing the gas cap. This guy should not be excusing it away by saying the vehicle hasn't run lately.
Wish i had a garage and a hydraulic lift
The plastic quick connect is made to work the opposite way. You press the white part (on the top in this video) in to release the hose. It's made so you just press it with your thumb and pull the hose.
It worked just like you demonstrated. I had just a little more difficulty, lying on my back.
How do I prime the fuel system before I start it up
Mine doesn’t have the white clip it has both sides like the right side

How do you know what color plastic line remover to use?
What if I don’t have that little plastic tool? Is there another way to get that fitting off?
Working on mine right now now and the 2nd line (closest to engine) won’t budge. It’s getting very frustrating.
My retainer is also MUCH tighter than the one in the video.
What does 'in that direction mean'? - I ask, becasue there is no way to tell from the video which way is forward or backward?
