thankyou mate this information is very useful will save me so much time in the future aswell

I like that you explain this slowly for dummies like me. Usually people talk way to fast I can’t even grasp what they’re saying . I appreciate the information!
Hello kitty! And you are not a dummy !
1.25 speed gang
Buddy speaking in slow motion
Thank you sir I forgot all about that lmao
Holy crap, it's like magic. 😂
I put it on 1.75 lol. But when watching car videos I usually speed them up. Glad I'm not the only one.
1.5 is even better
90% of drivers don't change fuel filters and PCV valves. There is part of full tune-up. Oil changes air filters cabin air filter, coils/boots, wireset, spark plugs, and fuel injection cleaners
What's a pcv valve
@SwampDonkey225 stabilizes the oil and catalytic converter
@@SwampDonkey225 PCV =Positive Crankcase Ventilation. It is part of the system that recirculates gasses that get past the piston rings and into the crankcase and sends them back through the engine for combustion. It's the oldest form of engine pollution control.
And this is what I just went thru getting a tune-up. I assumed I was getting fuel and air filters, and a PCV Valve but no, they told me that was extra after charging me $800 for a tune-up. Another $80 for an air filter and nothing more. Then after that my car was still not running right. Code P2004 a second time. I found a bad vacuum line myself that was causing my car problems. Check your vacuum lines.
A very chill out vibe in explaining the symptoms as if very obvious and simple to address. Appreciate this video.
This explains exactly what’s happening to my car after running very low on fuel (running on Vapor, lol) which probably kicked up crud from the bottom of the tank and blocked an already old filter. Thanks!
You are very good at explaining problems. There is no chance of misunderstanding you explanations with clarity. Im just looking for where my filter is to change the sucker, and hope it is not in the tank. Not as easy as the real cars pre injector
Really good...
Dankoo
I thought this was me at first! Hey Stretch! Great video for sure
Wow first vid I run into and I have ALL these symptoms! Thank you. Hopefully I can easily fix this on my own
Thank you. This video was clear, concise, and so helpful. I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze LTZ and my check engine light just came on (P0171 code) and rough idling and start.
My 08 Buick LaCrosse has that code and symptoms too , it doesn’t start on first try sometimes as well
@@SocialShock To my surprise, my car doesn't have a fuel filter. My mechanic diagnosed the issue as a PC system valve issue - ruclips.net/video/mKVsuJYIiCM/видео.html.
❤❤
Yeah I defo have this issue with my audi. Time to replace the filter tomorrow, I pretty much have all the things that were included in the video except the last one. I was already suspecting the filter but this video made me 100% sure. Thanks!
Gives us a update please. I need the same thing for my Audi as well.
@@joe83anania Car seems to be fine now. For me it was a simple filter change. 👍( changed all 6 spark plugs a week ago but those results came back empty handed )
Just changed mine on my 03 Avalon for the first time at 250,000 miles
Well explained. My car is actually doing this. Thank you 🎉
Awesome! It described the exact symptoms that my car presents!
Hope you’re back up & running!
Mine has been parked for yrs!!!
It ran smooth for a while parked! Started driving it, quit running smooth , started sputtering & hesitating! Now won’t crank! Jus engine turns over! I think this video IS SPOT ON!!!! I’m changing the fuel filter when I find that little PUNK! 🤔😤🤦🏽♂️👋🏻
Exactly what happened to my 07 F-150. Started throwing a lean code. Went to O'Reilly's and got a fuel filter and fuel line tool. $30 AND no more lean code.
When the old filter came out, the engine side had clear gas in it went dumping it out. The gas tank side had gas at first, then a dark gritty syrup coming out. Half hour job.
I have the same truck and I changed the spark plugs, coils, fuel injectors. And I got the same problem. I’m going to change the fuel filter today. Hopefully that fixes it
@@bikelife4118 In addition I have to add, truck through another.lean code. I put in some injector cleaner in the gas tank then it went away again forever.
quick n simple diagnosis. Great job
What a great detailed video. Please make more
Thank you! and of course
Good clear presentation! I going to change my filter here in a bit. It's doing everything you spoke of. Wish me luck!
Did that fix your problem?
@@OxC13 I'll change the little filter underneath the trunk but that wasn't it I'll probably need a fuel pressure test.
@@OxC13 but when it does crank it never quits running or anything and it doesn't sputter or nothing so the problem is getting it to crank but if I turn it off it won't crank now the other day I got it cranked and rev the motor up and revved it alot and turn the key off and it crank three times in a row then I waited 30 minutes and it wouldn't crank. Lol
@@runningman3658 have you found the solution?
@@Diego-gi1fs nope.
Another symptom can be poor fuel economy.
You are absolutely correct! I don't understand this though, my simple mind thinks less flow easier on gas🤷♂️
@@pauls3117 if filter is clogged pressure won’t keep up and cause bad injector spray pattern. Perhaps you need to change the filter in your brain too, it sounds a bit clogged.

It's the perfect approach. Good voice, sounds like a surfer. Simple maintenance saves big bucks.
Man my impala is having these problema to the T! Now it stalls while driving and shakes like crazy. Thanks man I know it has to be the fuel filter
Thanks for the video. I'm having these symptoms with my Ford Focus. Your the most chilled guy on RUclips. Sounds like you've been smoking a joint 🤣
currently fixing my integra and im pretty sure this is the problem, im subbing bro. thank you
Awesome, thank you!
was that the problem? my integra is doing the same thing
@@shoken8321 fuel filter wasnt my problem, the b20 had blown head gasket, but now my integra has K20 so its good
Thank you, I figured that was my problem but you confirmed it, Again thanks again!!!!!
I recently changed my fuel filter with a full service with my car. The car would have trouble starting from cold starts. took so many turn overs to get it going. Changed the fuel filter again recently to a bosh one and all seams to be fine. hope it was just a bad fuel filter causing the issue
Oh wow, I didn’t realize the filter could cause so many issues. I should have done that a while ago as soon as I started feeling trouble. I did my filter and fuel pump about 3 years ago, probably 50,000 miles. Now I’m broke down on the side of the road waiting for a new fuel pump. Guess I’ll do the filter while I’m at it.
2010 jaguar xf 5.0 doesn't throw a MIL(check engine light) with this condition (at least with beginning symptoms) and you just "have to know" based on symptoms here, the symptoms are identical, i go from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds flat but if im at 50 and press down hard on the gas, 4 seconds pass before the shift happens. The car also rocks back and forth intermittently when idle, especially at startup. Sometimes you just have to "go for it" especially when its a cheaper fix like a fuel filter
Why does he always sound like he’s talking with a smirk and doing this 🤷🏻♂️ with his head crooked 😂
I don't know but now after listening to him I'm speaking the same way 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏼♂️
Yeah lool, he slurs his words
Like he’s just been smokin’ de weed. 😂
Why do you keep watching him then?
Hard to listen to
Thanks for the comprehensive info!
Great explanation and visuals. Thanks, guy.
Great video. Learned a lot. Thanks for posting.
2x speed is ideal. Good info
I just changed my fuel pump, figured it would fix my issue. It started up fine, pushed down on the gas lightly and it was perfect. I gave it some more gas to see how it reacted and it turned off. Im hoping this is my issue
what was the result?
What you omitted to explain is: do ALL these symptoms happen together or you can only experience ONE of those?
I'm asking because I recently replaced pump, filter and accumulator and I experience ONLY the long start cranking and none of the other symptoms. after that the car runs great
My car always starts up without issue including yesterday then hesitated slightly for a split second when driving down the road. Got a few more miles down the road and it started to sputter/hesitate more before completely shutting off and haven't been able to get it to start. It cranks though.
i have the similar problem, once i started driving everyday it runs smooth but after 1-2kms it starts struggling. Please help

My Map/Maf sensor caused this issue

Hello from Canada.
How can I tell whether it is fuel filter VS the fuel pump itself? I’ve heard almost all of this for the pump too
I'm in the same spot...i'm going to try changing the fuel filter first...and then if need be, the fuel pump.
@@tpswave3452 how old is your pump? Ive gone through that hill at this point. Are you doing the work yourself? If you have a shop or mechanic do it they might make you replace the filter a second time with the pump for the pump’s warranty requirements.
@@tpswave3452 there are ways to listen for the pump engaging or engaging incorrectly just have a trusted mechanic that is familiar with your make and model look at it

You must be his friend
Change that fuel filter after 30 ,000 miles to be sure. If your fuel lines are close to the engines and its hot outside, sometimes the ethonal cooks in the fuel line and thats usually after it has set for 5 or 10 minutes. When you crank it up you really have to push the gas pedal to force out the air and get more fuel in.
Thank you so very much your information helps to me
SIMPLE... TO THE POINT... VISUAL ... FKIN! EXCEL-CENT VID... THANKS!
Awesome tutorial
Super good video, I'm going to have to change the fuel filter
Enjoyed the calm guy and great editing subscribed
God bless you sir thank you for the info
Whoa that was more like guided meditation, or what I imagine ChrisFix sounds like after a few drinks... And I got all the info I needed, thanks!
Oh fine.... You earned my sub and bell. Great little channel you've got here.
This made a lot of sense. My ford foucs mileage is horrible. When i fill up the dash tells me its 400 km til empty but i drove it one day really heavy for deliveries, and its consumed 2 quarters of gas in a single day! Like WTF! i sync a trip A with how mucn till empty and i only got 110 kms.
My 06 ranger automatic stalls when in 3rd gear at 35mph going up to 40 and when it changer to 4th gear it's smooth. Only in 3rd going to 4th at 35mph
learned many things from this video
Any videos on how to test/check the fuel filter? Thanks!
just take out your fuel filter & once it's out get a bucket to catch the gas. once you pour it out the gas should be clear & not rusty
Should I change my fuel filter alongside with the fuel injectors?
THANK YOU FOR THE INFO. VERY HELPFUL.
I have all those issues I changed the fuel filter also did the thermostat and lost oil pressure last night I just changed the oil haven’t started it yet still letting oil settle than mine m checking oil level I know oil pressure loss might not come back but thought I’d try the basics before I play with sensors
Great explanation
Cheers bro just wondering tho i have all those symptoms plus i see blue white in exhaust fumes any theories ty

Ok thanks Chrisfix
@easyautofix,
my car (Opel Corsa D 2007 1.3 CDTi, a diesel car) cranks but does not start. It's able to start quickly when the mechanic applies petrol to the air intake holes or when the car is kick started. After that, the car runs fine with not issues. This issue starts again when then engine is turned off and I try to start.
My mechanic said it could be faulty fuel pressure requlator/valve (CR/DRV). We've tried several different ones of the reqgulator and what happens it that the car starts normal but takes cranks for long before engine actually starts. What's your suggestion?
I feel lazy now, due to the sound of your voice..

1.25x speed fixes it. 😂

I had all of these issues bar the non starting. I drive a 2010 and I bet the thing has never been replaced.
Thanks bro, new subscriber!.
Definitely subbing very informative and quick video
Wow thanks this is very helpful information 👍🏼
Could it be the fuel filter if, when I add a fuel treatment and gas, it stops doing it so bad for a few days?
I don't know if you'll see this comment but if so I was wondering if this issue could cause my 2010 Chevy HHR LT to throw a P0172 code? It sounds so similar except my code says the fuel is too rich, not too lean.
Thank you!!!!!
and thank you!!
I think I need to also change my fuel filter after changing my fuel pump and fire plugs my car still jerks. Really not enjoying my car at all
You need to come to fix my car thank you😂
Thanks alot and dats wat really happen so I change it and the spark plugs and it running a lol better
Great video
Good day. Can a clogged fuel filter be the cause of excessive idling ?
Its possible. Do you have the engine light on? I would start there! If not, here is a video with the most common causes of a rough idle: ruclips.net/video/10H-GBPCU2g/видео.html&ab_channel=EasyAutoFix
Thanks for your help

Would it do it in a matter of time?
I have the third & 4th problem shuddery idle & sometimes no power or stuttering at low speed around 0-20mph. Also the fuel gauge always changes it's reading to more or less.
with a 2004 2.0 toyota avensis. Does this sound like a fuel filter issue?
Thanks
Did you get it fixed mate , was it the Fuel Filter , sounds the same as my issue , thanks Graham
Thank you very much...
Thanks bro I appreciate your information
I appreciate you!
Very accurate “Danko”
You won't find a fuel filter on a dodge or jeep. Never buy fuel in a station where you see a tanker truck dropping fuel. Water is heaver than gas and goes to the bottom of tank pick-up tube rest 4" from bottom. Years ago you would see a driver push a long stick down into the tank with water finder PASTE on the stick.
I’m having trouble wit my car and it’s not showing me no codes at all but when I accelerate it will begin to hesitate to accelerate faster and sometimes I’ll press the gas and it won’t even go anywhere until I let go of the gas and press back on the gas it’ll drive
Well good info and actually I have same obd scanner
Can you do a video of backfires at idle
Your talking personality is very characteristic (;
2013 Chevy traverse all of the above happens after spending 2000$ at the shop and it still happening I been asking around and someone told me it might be the fuel filter or fuel pump kuz it only really happens a lot after pumping gas so ima check tomorrow and give an update
Update still haven’t checked still happening but ima change out this week
Thanks Bro 😊
