Very versatile bait ... buoyancy allows a slower presentation to stay off the bottom. At rest, many jerk shads sink like a rock, ( Zoom ) while others ( Yum ) certainly sink, but slower.

    2 questions:
1- brand of the hat, bad ass hat
2- Do you have a PO Box for fans to send you things?
    Thank you!

The hat actually came from a local place and brand… the Florida Cracker! I unfortunately do not have the PO Box deal. Appreciate you following along with the channel my friend

Curious…why the blood know for attacking a leader to a bite tippet. What would be your second favorite to knot for the the leader to bite tippet? To me, with my arthritic hands, there are easier knots (mod Albright, triple surgeon, double uni, or the Alberto knots. Just curious? LCinOH

Blood knot is just a complete mono to mono knot. In a pinch on the kayak I use a double surgeons knot. That holds up well and is easy on the hands when paddling. Tight lines.

Mod Albright or Double Uni works just fine

I Always get some great takeaways from your videos, Capt. Will definitely try some of these rigging techniques on the water this weekend. Thank you for all that you do! 🫡

Just picked up some jerkshads thinking the same thing about snook. Just checked and Tampa bay is sitting about 74 degrees. It’s about that time fellas!

Man you crazy not using them during the fall and winter in our area. My nephew and I were destroying trout up to 27" in October, November and December on them. Especially redfish toad color.
      Hope you doing well bud

Great video CA! Quick question for the first way you had it nose rigged. How will this rig do skipping docks or mangroves? Thanks for always putting out super educational stuff!

Its crazy because I never catch any of those big trout in tampa bay during this time of year. ( Feb thru april ) Its always October November and December when i do. My nephew and I were getting trout up to 27" on the JerkshadZ in the redfish toad color
We Normally rig ours with a chin lockz or a ProBulletZ depending on how we want to present the bait to them. Definitely gonna have to try these rigs for sure see what happens

What depth of water do you fish the weightless vs weighted? Also, no tandem rig discussion?

    • @flatsclasscharters
      @flatsclasscharters 2 месяца назад

I have a few vids on the Donkey Rig for scenario fishing for schooling fish. Weightless version is for moving quickly over the surface to draw a surface strike from snook. The weighted is for fishing deeper zones or working in a little current

Hey! Ive been getting back into fishing lately and have been learning a lot from watching your stuff. With you being a Shimano guy maybe you can help me out here. I'm going between a curado mh7' and the TFO pro 7'6mh. I have a medium mod fast rod already and trying to expand my options. Most of my fishing is bass and pike up in MI but also will be coming down to Florida Gulf to do inshore and want a setup that can do both.

7’6” MH Moderate Fast are good choices here in Florida because casting distance is very important down here.
