The shootout that nobody knew we needed but everyone has always wanted!

This is fantastic. I'd love to see a similar comparison on a tighter, more awkward track. I've been hoping Paul Aston would do a timed comparison between his ultra-long bike vs. a standard bike, but so far he hasn't done this. I bet this would make for a really interesting series of videos if you did comparisons on multiple tracks; maybe some that would theoretically suit the Geometron and some that would suit the Enduro to see how the differences play out.

Thanks! Will try to do more of this in a variety of trails whenever I’ve got two bikes worth comparing

Paul Aston even though he gives the appearance of doing "new things," has become reliant on selling bikes via raffles. For him to sell a bike, it must be the best bike ever. At the start I had a lot of faith for him but he has done 0 real world testing. If what he used was truly leagues better, it would be reflected in the pro circuit on prototype bikes.

    Great stuff, keep it up.
I love my G1, had it since I built it in late 2019, no issues.👌

Would be great to see these two bikes or similar ones tested on the less reliable, janky track you mentioned. As a former SC Nomad owner (short frame) and current GeoMetron owner, I've found the long-reach bike to be way more stable on steeper, unpredictable tracks. Would appreciate your insight as well. As always, excellent work. Your videos are no nonsense, no frills, and perfectly executed by a rider who knows how to interpret bikes and describe subtleties most riders wouldn't be able to explain.

Would be interesting testing on a shorter Enduro as well, (S2/S3 whatever), especially on that section where you felt you got pushed forward more on the shorter bike, see if that's more noticeable.

The only thing that really counts is which one is the best looking

I can see that you have OneUp handlebar on the G1. How did you set-up it? Did you leave the oval shape in horizontal position? Or did you adjusted back-sweep angle position for your needs and feeling, and did not bother with oval orientation to the ground?

Angled it about in line with the fork how I would with a normal bar. Bend felt a bit funky at first but now it’s my favorite bar

@briancahal what would you say ist the biggest difference between the g1 and banshee? I ride the g16 since almost 8 years and looking for a new bike. My riding style is based on high speed. Thx

Not sure if I can articulate that well since the sizing on the banshee I rode and g1 I have is so different. Plus it’s been a few years since I’ve been on the banshee. If you really value adjustability the banshee doesn’t have that.

Nice vid! So which one is faster overall?

    • @briancahal
      @briancahal  7 месяцев назад

Depends on the day/rider/track. Hard to say which one is for sure faster but hopefully these videos are interesting and provide some insight into the bikes

Looking both frames in action, the Enduro moves quite less compared to the Geometron. At least it is what I can see. The Enduro and the Demo got that same thing if you grab the rear brake hard in huge consecutive hits,it sends you forwards while bottom out the forks. Solution,do not grab the brake so hard there or brake a little early and carry more speed. Love my Enduro& Demo.I think many many bikes would make exact same time. Very brave ridding on both bikes,it looks scary fast!

Most importantly: which bike gets more clout at the trails?

G1 is the ultimate clout machine

ideal f/r center ratio #? I reckon after much study its between 1.8-1.9 with the seemingly fastest guys running the 1.85 ratio.
Front center divided by rear center = (your ratio #)
    Thoughts?
