  • In this video, I compared the Specialized Stumpjumper Evo with the Specialized Enduro. On this test track, I was about five seconds faster on the Stumpy than the Enduro. The next step is to decide which bike to race for the Enduro World Cup this season!
    Shoutout to Cam from Cheeseman Skifield and Sam from Forest Lodge. Definitely get yourself up there for some skiing this winter!
    Thank you, TP for doing an epic job with the bikes and making the testing possible.

    My thoughts after quite a bit of riding on enduro is stumpyevo will be faster on tight tracks with tight steep dropping corners and enduro will be faster on open flat out and flowing tracks. I think you will be choosing bike to ride depending on what the tracks are like each round

    Interesting, wonder what throwing the S3 back into the mix would look like with these conditions compared with the drier conditions on the S3 vs. S4 video?

    You should try the Stumpy with the Cascade link and a coil shock! Also up the front travel to 170mm and I think you'll keep the same feel but way less bumpy. I had a Stumpy Evo set up this way(with headseat in neutral pos and short chainstay )and was by far the most traction and awesome cornering feeling bike I've owned!

    • @sendyboiii7
      @sendyboiii7 Год назад +4

      @@GHOSTY2.0 when putting coils on bikes with that or similar suspension layouts you have to check with the manufacturers if the coil is compatible with that layout. This is due to the fsr layout on the stumpy putting high amounts of stress on the shock and as coils have a smaller stanchion diameter some of them cannot handle that stress. Fox coils for example do not work but rockshox do. Just check with the manufacturer and inform yourself before doing similar modifications

    Had a fella who was ridding for Specialized like you and he compared Demo vs Enduro vs Stumpjumper but in a very natural and steep trails. He found the Demo was faster overall bike in that terrain,followed by the Enduro and last the Stumpy. So it depends on the terrain you like to ride,I think for chunky stuff,natural terrain in Europe I would take the Enduro all day long. But for some mellow terrain the Stumpy would be faster.
    ¿are both bikes running the same tires?

    The EVO was faster on this track simply bc of that relatively flat wooded section. I could see it was much more difficult to bend the Enduro through the tight corners and switchbacks. Maybe in dry conditions it could keep up. Great job. Cheers.
