    Hey, I’m looking at buying the 2021 stump jumper, however the 2020 is $1000 cheaper.. both carbon but 2021 is without the fsr...... thoughts? What would you do?

    • @GoodTrails
      @GoodTrails  3 года назад +1

      Completely different bikes. I know they look the same but the rear triangle has significantly different linkage on the newer bike. If you lean more toward downhill, get the 2020. If you lean more toward aggressive XC and Trail, get the 2021. Pinkbike has made some really good content about the 2021 where they make comparisons to the old bike. I recommend watching those videos on their channel.

    You mentioned before that you're not sponsored by Specialized or anything, so when you ride a Carbon frame (that you paid for with your own money) are you extra concerned with hard bails or rock strikes leading to a cracked frame? I've seen from previous videos that you've had some hard bails on rock faces before, how has the carbon stumpy held up? Great job on the videos! keep'em coming. Hope to see you out in the Don for riding season 2021!

      It pedals insanely well. I am surprised there hasn’t been an update to this bike in 3 or 4 years now. If you aren’t going to ride really rocky downhill trails, I would go with the Stumpy EVO. Also, if you can get Norco you should take a look at the Optic.
