I've had a lot go wrong in my life lately & I've been so depressed that I've been to places that I pray most humans don't experience. So I stopped watching this channel for a while because I kind of stopped doing anything. I started watching the channel again this morning and I started crying because it made me so happy for the first time in a really long time. I don't know why i'm telling anyone this but I can't get over how much peace and joy this channel brings me. Love you all.
Hang in there kiddo.... People are under so much pressure today it's even more difficult on younger generation. Stop watching the "news", it's hateful, manipulative propaganda, REMOVE people/ so called friends who don't treat you with respect and honesty..... Surround yourself with positive people, NOT people always complaining/ negative...... P.S. Try to avoid fast food (actually it's toxic), and eat better food. You'd be surprised how crappy food messes with your mind/ mood swings, etc. Good Luck, God Bless
Hi, I try to remember, "this too shall pass." I hope you continue to feel better and am glad you found the channel again.
My Advice to you is to surround yourself with good friends and family. Most importantly, tell them how you feel and watch your depression melt away. Don't let yourself be fooled, look around and feel how loved you are.
I don't know you but I do know what your going through. Remember that this phase in your life is just temporary, tomorrow is a new day and a lot can change quickly. May your life change for the better, God bless you.
Hang in there better days ahead
Remember we were made for the next world. Keep living in faith.
Pete, you are the Mr. Rogers of farming. The same calm, sane, gentle person my kids grew up watching. The world is a better place for having you in it.
This! I’ve been trying to place this feeling we get learning and watching Pete. Mr Rodgers of farming. Nailed it.
Totally! I can’t believe I’m watching some guy do maintenance on his tractor. All the other farm stuff yes, but tractor repair? I’m not a gear-head (I’m not even sure I know what that means) but his Mr. Roger’s appeal has me hooked and here I am watching him grease his whatever it is. 😂
Excellent observation!
@@DanitaReynolds haha
Best of the best, and no shouting or theatrics
Thanks for still being there for us Pete. Have a great Spring.
Thank you, and you’re welcome.
It was so nice seeing you smiling in your garden. It's now time to rumble and enjoy your plantings. Your bearing segment is something that's lost in today's society. Do it yourself repairs is a lost art. Meat chicken growth rate is amazing. Wishing you continued successes and good buys on May 4. Being with your Dad and son is priceless.👍👍👍
Good morning Pete, you have created your own piece of heaven here on earth. You are one good man so have fun with your cows and I’ll be watching.
Could see the baby moving in Patty. Great looking cows and farm. Glad the fly line took care of the flies. Sounds like a good choice.
I finished my first restoration project over the weekend. It was for my sae project for ag class at school. I got a 100 and took it to school yesterday and showed it to my class and the county superintendent. It was a mcormick deering 30 manure spreader. It was my grandpas and I got the decals from maple hunter decals
Excellent! Congratulations!
Congrats!! Good job!!
@@JustaFewAcresFarm thanks so much Pete. You gotta do an equipment and shop tour at some point
@@anitaodom5155 thanks
Memory is tricky. As you describe the morning and the various tasks, the smells that are fifty years old returned to my head. If you would have asked young me if I would miss the farm with all the smells and hard work, I would told you never. But in my old age, I find I do. But then memory is selective, often glossing over the negatives. Pete thanks for the vicarious experience.
You have the best sense of humor. Especially with today's title. I can't wait until your next video, farming or tractor repair/rebuild. Thank you.
When the view was set on small the marks on the side of the block the three of them spelled TOY or TOT. Good to see that the farm is starting up in good health.
Take care,
jack
Have fun at the auctions. Three generations spending time together is very rewarding. Thanks, Pete, and have a good day.
Thank you for showing your vegetable garden and mentioning another side of your farm. Hope folks will be motivated to start a veg. garden. I started my first veg garden when I was about 6 years old. My favorite - beets. My grand parents were farmers. A mix of sheep, cattle and veg.
Your lilacs are coming into bloom. My favorite time of the year.
And the fragrance! So good.
@@vickyburton2434 Soooo sweet isn't it?
I just ordered the tee-shirt. I will wear it proudly when driving my 856D. Please don't think of it as "hawking merchandise". It is a way for us to repay you for your hard work on the channel and help spread the word.
Thank you.
Thanks Mike!
Mr. Pete i want to thank you for your wealth of knowledgeable doings on the farm and sharing it freely!! Tx
Haha😂 loved the joke! Enjoyed the repairs
Pete you have been a very busy farmer. enjoy watching your channel it makes me happy to see the cows walking to a new field to eat. thank you so much for sharing this with us
Love the shirt just ordered. Thank you Pete for all you do and I personally appreciate the time and effort you put into bringing us along with you on your beautiful farm. Thank you and Hillary so much.
Thank you!
So glad you're continuing your videos, their so relaxing to watch!
I caught myself yelling for Patty. OK, time to go feed my animals ...
Pete, your knowledge of All your Farmall's is just amazing.
I’m glad you decided to do pigs this year. 🎉. Happy pigs are hard to find!
Beef cows sure look happy.
Yeaaa go Wisconsin. We have good companies. Thanks for the video.
Hi Pete,
I really enjoy your channel. Seeing you work on the tractors has given me a lot of confidence and context to properly take care of my own equipment and be less intimidated. I didn't grow up with the benefit of seeing how to do mechanical work, so it's quite a hurdle. It's also helped me get over my desire to over-build or make perfect plans when developing our homestead, instead relying more on the resources at hand.
One area I'm still unsure about is handling and managing all sorts of combustible and other materials. How do you handle rags covered in grease, lacquer thinner, etc.? Do you ever get concerned about storage? Disposing old oil?
Thank you for the time you put into this. It's greatly appreciated and the seasonal variety of topics is great.
Hi. Waste oil goes to my local NAPA to be recycled. Rags soaked with volatile solvents are laid outside until they are dry, then thrown in the garbage. I only use cotton or paper for rags, and oily/greasy ones are used as fire starter in the wood stove.
I want you to keep working on your farm because it’s my therapy and a way to get away from busy city life
I agree, but I don't live in the city. Lol
As someone who has lived in the country most of their life, & in the city for a short portion, I concur.
Darn it simple projects i can still learn stuff on! The grease!! Lol Thank you my kind friend
Pete, without your cap you are looking a lot like your Dad.
A rural life is a simpler life. It is good.
Just realized how close you are to me only about 45min North of our farm! Keep up the cool videos!
I am happy to hear that you are getting some pigs
That is a nice chunk of steel you are working on Pete.
You got urself a HOLY SHIRT Pete jajaja thanks for this vide well enjoyed Pete
Pigs are coming back!!! YAY!!!
I’m laughing at your grandpa’s false teeth joke. 😅Good hearing from you. I hope to see you at the Farmers Market if we make it to your neck of the country this summer.
Great program brings me back to life on the farm in Nebraska, love it! Love the tractor shirt also!!! Omaha NE GO BIG RED!
Hey that’s my birthday May 4 4th 1952 hallelujah 7 decades God is GOOD!!! Rev. Paul Eustis Florida.
Happy birthday Paul!
MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU. 👽👾👾
Pete that joke was bad! Keep em coming!😉
When I was little, I was helping my Pappap move his Angus. I was holding the fence gate hooks (they were the old ones with a pointy hook rather than a blunt one). I had too much slack in the fence and a cow caught the fence with her leg. Being little,I couldn’t hold on, and that hook went right through my hand. I held my hand up and it was dangling from it lol. I bare that scar proudly. I always cringe when the cows drag their feet over wire to this day (mine included). Sure glad they have safer hooks these days!
Pete you're the best ! Always a fantastic video love em ☺️
I love the Dad joke!
When I saw Grandpa's false teeth, I thought it was sickle bar sharpening time. 😂
Pete- if you run out of rags- use that Michigan shirt- it’s good for grease and manure.
Hi Pete. You seemed happier today on this video. That made me happy.
Right? I feel the same way!
Your video reminded me of a line from an old song: “the promised kiss of springtime”.
Your videos always make me smile. I just finished your book, which was awesome, and relaxing reading! My wife has it now and likes it as well as I did!
Dad jokes are getting better and better. It's already early summer down south. It's fun to watch a yankee carrying on. Thanks for sharing.
That garden soil is looking good
Loved that joke....so bad it's good!! LoL..... Thanks again guys, enjoyed this video.
After graduating from diesel college in 1980, I brought back quite a bit of new knowledge about how things work. One was lubricants and how the old reliable standby suck as Quaker state would turn into soap with a few drops of water in the palm of your hand. Ya, I sure poked the bees nest when my brother seen that magic trick. He stopped buying the el cheapo crap and invested in a good quality GP lube from that point on.
Excellent video once again. Cheers….👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love that shirt! Me and my kiddos will need them!
Thanks for the video, Pete.
Hey Pete!
Have a safe and productive Spring!
Keep Smilin!!!!
“My gloves should last a year.” That tickled my funny bone.
I loved the hose replacement segment.. very interesting. All the segments actually. Great video.
God bless you, your family, and farm. 🙏❤️
Pete we look forward to each video, my wife always ask Pete what's for dinner. Have learned much from you about raising chickens for eggs. You and Hillary are great together especially when she says the kids can eat tuna.
I have wondered for some time what the appeal of your channel is to so many. I believe it is fundamentally that you are a great story teller, keeper of the myths. We all need myths, even as the fringes are doing their best to destroy the myths that bind us together. Pete, you truly are a great storyteller including the bad jokes! We who enjoy you stories, applaud you!
Thank you!
Pete, your garden prep is impressive in my humble opinion. Man, I love moving cattle to new pasture. It's always a great day when moving cattle.
GOOD AFTERNOON PETE
Please keep doing these videos, it's so refreshing to watch my dreams.😊
Also I love watching you do maintenance on your tractors, good thing for me to learn when I finally get my very own Farmall!!!😊😊
Outstanding FAMILY!😇!😇!😇!😇!
Wow what a busy day
Pete, great to see the awakening of spring and to see the cattle enjoying the lush grasses and to see the trees starting to bloom and the batches of chickens comming on. This is truly agreat time of year. Hopefully this will be a successful year for you and your family.
I love watching you move the cows and hearing them munch on the grass.
You messed up this morning. You put the grease rag on as your shirt!!! Better yet, the poo rag!!! Go buckeyes!!!
Your an inspiration to many I’m just starting my 9.6 acr homestead farm ranch in East Texas and learn a lot from Your videos especially how You carry your self and handel the farm God Bless and thank You
Thanks for another great video. I really can appreciate the extra effort that you put into equipment maintenance, cleaning parts, and attention to detail preserving the vintage style. Enjoy the wonderful outdoors, and thanks again for sharing it with us.
Enjoying the direction the farm is taking and watching someone repack their wheel bearings.
Your videos are always so relaxing and pleasant. They take me back to a time where life was much more pleasant. I miss my younger days on the farm. I love your outlook on life and many times wish we were closer. Most of the farmers around here have done away with the livestock and have gone to grain. To some people, it probably sounds strange, but I miss the smell in the air from the livestock. We always did both, livestock and grain, and it was a lot of work, but fun. Thanks for sharing and I'll see you later.
me and one of my baby chicks are loving this... hopefully it is a she... but it perks up when there are birds chirping on the show.
Any day w/ Just a Few Acres is a good day.
Thank you for doing business in Nebraska!!!!
Oh boy! It sure is time to take care of those flies! Dang!
Great shirt!
Yes. We put the back rub up yesterday and it knocked the flies right down. The cattle are much happier.
@@JustaFewAcresFarm awesome to hear! Thanks
The hubby and I still love watching your videos. And the dad jokes still crack me up, which is hilarious because my husband said that I was born without a funny bone. Anywho, you and your family have a wonderful day.😊
Hurrah! Thunder and lightening here. Early summer for us too.
Yes, of course, I'm happy as pigs!
Love to all!
Sure enjoyed watching this one. You taught everyone how to correctly repack wheel bearings. You’re a great teacher, Pete. Thank you for taking the time.
I like your films! Regards from Sweden.
thanks for feeding us, love your gentleness with the animals
Boy this takes me back about 40 odd years. I had to service wheel bearings on AF munitions trailers as part of the munitions career field believe it or not.
New t-shirt! Yeah! Cattle are looking happy especially with new grass. Can't wait to see the new calves.
Pete, that's a t-shirt you should make."That Steer thinks hes a bull...but he ain't going to get very far"
Holy cow, life is great Pete!! That was the most excellent into dude!
Damn Pete, you've been busy! I look forward to each of your videos. Thanks for taking the time to post.
Good job!
Thank you Pete for the good start to our day. You are a man, outstanding in your field. I have many church tee’s too, you know the holy ones. Will stop there, never three on a match. Cheers to you and Hill.
Great video, good to see summer is coming
Certainly great time of year on a farm, spring. New life is born and everything comes back to life. Even some winter coach potatoes. Have a great day Pete.
Always a great day when Pete publishes a JAFAF video. A breath of fresh air when compared to the current unrest occurring in other parts of NY. The farm a beautiful canvas of sights, sounds and smells, especially grasses. ❤ to you and family Pete!
Thank you Pete!
Yay Michigan!!!
Thank you for the video Pete and Hello to your wife Hillary..my hubby and I owned a 350 acre farm nineteen miles west of the St
Lawrence River in Omtario..back in the early 70's to mid 80's..watching your videos these past few years. Sure does take me back home to our farm life ..living for the past 30yrs in Florida..I can relate to the different species of grasses that grew in our fields, our cattle and horses loved it ,but best of all we never had to buy great hay....our hay was square bales, the round baler had not been invented as yet..well might have been but did not know any farmer out our way that had one..not even my uncles dairy farm they had 150 head of Holstein milkers and they had a old square baler...and as you, hay was a big to do as well..keep up the videos can't wait to see your garden...enjoy your spring..
Thanks Chris! Some of the older dairies around here with old barns still pack small squares into the hay mow.
You are amazing! I’m tired just watching you! Congratulations on your farm and your channel!
Blessings!
I'm glad you got those spindles worshed. It's very pleasing to have good clean worshed spindles.
Hey Pete I was out your way last weekend ...Went t the farmers Market on Saturday sadly i missed ya .....You guys need a much bigger parking lot .....
Peter absolutely love the way that you go about your Waze liking all the things and techniques to keep you from going. I’m excited to see the chickens go back on the field as well as the new pigs that may be coming in so thank you for being it’s showing us your far.
pete i enjoy watching your videos seeing you and the cows ane many more things the cow look big hope you get some rain and moistur have a nice day pete.
Well I grew up on a ranch and we would all the tractor and equipment threw the winter in a nice warm shop and that's what we did and ya it is always good to repack the wheel bearings
Pete, it is nice to know that farmers don't have junk yards. They have parts yards.😊
Thanks and GOD BLESS 😀
I laughed at your joke, Pete. It wasn't a "bad" joke...it was a cute joke.😊
